THE GELATERIA italy in monterey For 2020 we are proposing an expanded gelato station on Fairway 9. We will transport guests to an Italian gelateria with additional seating and a unique photo moment. A whimsical floral print with framed black and white images of past Quail, A Motorsports Gathering event winners will serve as a backdrop for a custom built 60 gelato stand offering sweet treats or branded guest takeaways.

Champagne . oyster . caviar a popular place just got bigger The concept for expanding the oyster caviar footprint was derived from the overwhelming popularity and desire for more lounge vignettes and seating. The intention is to creates a set-environment that draws from the luxurious taste and design of the Peninsula Hotels that itself serves as a photo op for guests who enter the space. Pewter toned slating encloses the space with a faux perimeter to both give the location a formal identity and structure – making it instantly recognizable on the first fairway as popular destination for F&B and Quail guests. Lemon trees line the entryway while lush floral arrangements adorn the various seating arrangements add pops of color throughout the space. Additionally, we have split the queue into two identical service lines to help alleviate the wait times. 66

SEATING VIGNETTES BRIGHT AND INVITING Canvas canopy umbrellas with bronze/pewter bases rest over the various furniture sets and seating offering highly sought after shade.. 69

SEATING VIGNETTES make a new friend under the shade Communal seating is a new element to the 2020 design offering guests the opportunity to meet new people in a relaxed and friendly setting. In order to frame the space and mitigate the long queues, we are proposing bordering the front with 70 pewter toned slat walls and large dimensional branding.

Service bars double the fun For 2020, oyster and caviar will be served from two identical stations approachable from opposite sides of the lounge to help alleviate the long queues. The champagne bar will be located between the two oyster and caviar stations accessible from three sides of the lounge. 73

culinary pavilions lemon The culinary pavilions have historically been themed independently from the Quail. In 2020, our proposal for a cohesive experience interweaves the culinary pavilions into our overarching color palette through using the theme: A Celebration of Color. Not only do they resonate with the surrounding event environment, but these 6 colors are also inspired by the colorful tones of iconic cars throughout history. 80

PLUM LEMON PEACH SAGE tone AND DESIGN 81 A palette of elegant fun Moody plums combine with vibrant yellows, warm peach and elegant sage tones to create a palette that provides a rich base and exciting color pops throughout the culinary pavilions. The color palette is carried through all aspects of design from graphics and material finishes to floral and art pieces creating a cohesive guest experience that is inviting and exciting.

From furniture and décor to florals and food, attendees will be completely immersed in the senses of color. By breaking the typical design principles of a multi-chromatic environment, these pavilions will be uniquely eye catching. 82

culinary pavilions lemon Integrating a custom art installation within the central walls will create a dimensionally dynamic backdrop for live entertainment. Keeping in line with the iconic cars throughout history, this installation concept uses different sizes and shades of one car part in an organic shape. Other pavilions would use alternate car parts such 86 as head lights, grilles, mirrors and seat belts. Flanking this center wall are playful yet elegant floral backdrops with staged seating vignettes for social photo opportunities.
