Liberty Editorial
Editors Letter Life After Lockdown Welcome to the first annual issue of Liberty Editorial. This issue’s theme, life after lockdown, was an effortless choice to select. We were adamant that the first issue of Liberty Editorial had to be meaningful and serve purpose. It is without a doubt that the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020 impacted the lives of many and today, is continuing to have an impact on many individuals. This was the foundation of our theme for this issue. It is important to voice these issues to raise awareness on these subjects, in order to comfort and support our audience. Our life after lockdown issue explores the impact the Coronavirus lockdown has had on the mental health of young people, highlighting the mental health crisis it caused which at times was ignored. Through styling, pose and location we will take our audience on a journey that symbolises the anxiety of leaving behind our lockdown comforts and routine, and embody the feeling of freedom in a post pandemic age as we adapt to another new ‘normal’. We delve into the feeling of loneliness and vulnerability as we explore life outside of lockdown as something we once never thought twice about, becomes alien to us. We highlight the importance of reaching out, symbolising that you’re not alone on your journey. Finally, we celebrate this new beginning as we all enter and adapt to a post lockdown era. Our life after lockdown issue aims to encourage our audience to feel more at liberty as they adapt to a new normal. As we close this chapter the past two years has brought us, another one opens full of new beginnings and fresh starts. The images, words and concepts presented in this issue reflect the creative approach we bring to Liberty Editorial. We are proud to exhibit this kind of creativity in this magazine and our website www.liberty-editorial.co.uk. We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed putting it together for you.
