A new state of the art IT Park in Islamabad is being established under financing from Korea Exim Bank through the Economic Development Cooperation Fund with more than 61000 square meters of covered area. It shall be a G plus 9 structure with two basements for parking. The total land available for IT Park Islam- abad is 14.9 acres located in Chak Shahzad. The estimated cost of the project is $ 88.383 million for which the loans has already been signed and the design phase of the project is in progress making headway. This project shall be completed and become operational in 2022. Additionally to this, a con- sortium of Korean consultants has also been en- gaged to conduct a detailed feasibility study of establishing an IT Park in Karachi. The feasi- bility study has since been completed and proj- ect worth $ 186 million is expected to be funded through the Economic Development Coopera- tion Fund of Korea Exim Bank.
