Performer BiosJo Ann Antinone – Mrs. Antinone is the director of the L.D. Bell High School Choral Department. This is Mrs.Antinone's 18th year of teaching. She was raised in Bryan, TX and received her Bachelor degree in Music Educationfrom Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX and her Master’s degree in Choral Conducting from IthacaCollege in Ithaca, NY.Reza Azizi – Reza Azizi is in his fourth year of teaching and has been singing and performing for 14 years. This ishis third year as the Assistant Choir Director at LD Bell. After graduating from Plano Senior High School, heattended Texas Christian University to pursue music further. Mr. Azizi performed with the Fort Worth Opera forseveral seasons and also attended the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, for a summer. He iscurrently completing his Master of Music Education degree at Texas Tech University. Mr. Azizi is thrilled to be apart of the choral excellence and tradition of Bell High School.Rebecca Aune – Mrs. Aune has taught music education for 15 years, with 13 of those years being in HEB ISD. This isher 6th year as the choir director at Bedford Junior High. Apart from teaching, I love to quilt, garden and sing withmy church choir. But the best thing about me is my husband of 36 years, John, my six children, my two daughter-in-laws, my two son-in-laws and my four adorable grandchildren.Amanda Cantu – Dr. Cantu is so pleased to joining the staff this year at Central Junior High. This is her second yearteaching in the junior high choral classroom. Previously, she taught private voice at the collegiate and high schoollevel. She also has performed in numerous operas throughout the United States and Europe.Kelly Miyake – Mrs. Miyake (formerly Kelly Winstead) is enjoying her second year of teaching voice at L. D. Bell.She has taught privately for over twenty years and has worked as a high school choir director, church musicdirector, and stage performer in operas and musicals. She is the mother of several children, keeper of a menagerieof animals, and the rodeo wrangler of many a wayward voice student.Kelly Wolff – Ms. Kelly Wolff is the Private Voice Lesson teacher for Bedford Junior High and Hurst Junior High.She is so excited to have this be her third year of teaching at each school!! Ms. Wolff grew up right here in the DFWarea and went to school in Birdville ISD. She attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas and receiveda Bachelor’s degree in Music with a focus on musical theater and a Minor in Broadcast JournalismLaurie DePauw – Mrs. DePauw begins her 6th year teaching voice lessons at L.D Bell High School this fall. This isher 18th year teaching and she currently has over 60 students through her schools and home. Mrs. DePauw holdsher Bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Master's Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of North Texas. She singsprofessionally with the Church of the Incarnation at the University of Dallas. Please do not eat or drink during this evening's performance.Please show your appreciation for tonight's performers by only applauding at the completion of each musical selection. Whistling and yelling from the audience is not appropriate for this event. Audience members that must depart early from this evening's performance will only be permitted to do so between musical numbers. HEB The NAMM Foundation has named HEB ISD to the prestigious 2013 listing of the \"Best Communities for Music Education\" for the seventh yearHURST • EULESS • BEDFORD in a row. Only 22 schools or school districts in Texas were named to thisIndependent School District national list. Tonight's Choir Concert is just one of the many reasons why HEB ISD continues to receive this national recognition.
