Being far away from home, Kellie desired his new residence to be reminiscent of his home back in Scotland. The castle is perched on top of a hill in what used to be a rubber estate. Construction of this unique castle began in 1915. However, it came to an abrupt halt with Kellie’s sudden death in 1926.

Uluwatu Temple locally known as Pura Luhur Uluwatu (with Luhur meaning “something of divine origin”). Declared in 1938 by the Sultans of Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu (during King George’s Silver Jubilee), it was gazetted to preserve the land’s indigenous nature in perpetuity. The park was renamed Taman Negara after the nation gained independence in 1957.

The Matka Lake within the Matka Canyon is the oldest artificial lake in the country. Malaysia Highlights Stadthuys (MELAKA) 40 MISS TOURISM INTERNATIONAL 2020/21 Built in 1650 as the official residence of the Dutch Governor and his officers, The Stadthuys is a fine example of Dutch architecture of that period. It is believed to be the oldest Dutch building in the East. An outstanding example of colonial Dutch architecture, this edifice now houses the History Museum and Ethnography Museum. On display are traditional bridal costumes and relics from Melaka’s over 400-year history.

There are more than 300 via ferrata routes around the world and the world’s highest via ferrata, can now be found on Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia, whereby the highest point starts at 3,400 m and ends at 3,800 m. This is the first time that the sport of via ferrata climbing is Army Museum (NEGERI SEMBILAN) The Army Museum will lead visitors back to the memoirs of various inheritance, ultimate collections of artefacts which had once witnessed the battlement to retain the sovereignty of our beloved country. This 2,500-year-old pagoda is sited on Singuttara Hill in Yangon. Over the centuries, this pagoda has grown from 8 metres to 99 metres. Malaysia Highlights Pulau Sibu (JOHOR) 43 Pulau Sibu is a pleasant hideaway with its lush tropical vegetation, endless stretches of golden beaches and clear blue waters. The island is also dotted with numerous sea caves carved out of rocks. The constant pounding of the sea during the monsoon season has given the island a beautiful yet rugged appearance. The big draw these days are the fantastically preserved 18th-century windmills. Malaysia Highlights Pulau Redang (TERENGGANU) 44 MISS TOURISM INTERNATIONAL 2020/21 Located 45km off the coast of Kuala Terengganu, Pulau redang is the largest of a group of nine protected islands dotting the South China Sea off the Terengganu coast. The island offers crystal clear waters and numerous dive sites for enthusiasts. Sheltered within the Pulau Redang Marine Park, the waters here are rich in marine life. At midday when sun rays penetrate the sea, brilliant hues of coral, anemones and fish can be seen.

It is one of the leading historical sites in the Philippines where Rizal was executed by the Spanish military firing squad on December 30, 1896, because he had spread the ideals of revolution against Spanish rule. Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan (PERAK) The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan is a clock tower in Teluk Intan, Hilir Perak District, Perak, Malaysia. It is the Malaysian equivalent of the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy. The tower is slanted leftward, similar to the Tower of Pisa. It is 25.5 metres tall and, from the outside, looks like an 8-storey building, though inside it is actually divided into 3 storeys.

SULTAN ABDUL SAMAD BUILDING (KUALA LUMPUR) This remarkable edifice, built in 1897, was named after the State Ruler and served as the government administration building during the British era. Boasting a Mahometan or Neo-Saracenic style, the building is constructed entirely of bricks. It was the largest building of its day and was said to be the finest in the Malay states.

MISS TOURISM I N T E R N AT I O N A L Established in1994 The title is owned by: : Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi (President) Miss Tourism International is a homegrown title initiated by Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi, and to date the Title is franchised to more than 90 countries. This prestigious World Final has seen the participation of more than 1000 Miss Tourism Delegates from around the world since 1994. The Miss Tourism International Pageant has brought the beauty queens, across their geographical barriers, towards a common platform. It gives an opportunity to the beauty queens of different cultural backgrounds to share, exchange and learn from one another’s experience. The event also fosters friendship, international understanding and goodwill amongst the delegates. Participants will visit many Tourist Spots in the promotion of Tourism for the Hosting Country. MISS TOURISM QUEEN OF THE YEAR INTERNATIONAL Established in1993 This title-holder owned by : Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi (President) Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International first started in 1993 by Tan Sri Danny Ooi and the inaugural World Final was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with a participation of only 20 Countries. To date, the Title is now licensed to more than 100 countries around the world. This pageant event provides a platform to promote Tourism, Culture & Friendship. This pageant event also brought delegates from 5 continents of the globe, giving opportunities to the participants as well as creating wide publicity mileage for the hosting country. Tan Sri Danny Ooi, in his relentless quest to take his homegrown international titles out of Malaysia, finally managed to secure a deal with his contacts in China in 2004, thereby making him the first Malaysian to take an international World Final to the Chinese mainland. The Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International 2004 World Final was held in Changsha, Hunan Province, where Miss Armenia Anush Grigoryan was crowned the winner. Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi followed up on the success of the first Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International World Final in 2004, by staging six more finals in 2005 (Wuhan, Hebei Province), 2010 (Qingzhou, Shandong Province), 2011 (Yingtan, Jiangxi Province), 2012 (Nanjing, Jiangsu Province), 2016 and 2017 (Shanghai, China) .

MISS TOURISM METROPOLITAN INTERNATIONAL Established in 2007 This title-holder owned by : Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi (President) Beauty pageant organiser extraordinaire, Tan Sri Danny Ooi, has once again etched his mark in the industry with his conception of a new title - “Miss Tourism Metropolitan International”.
