Miss Miss Miss Miss Clair Chong Estee Pook Maggie Ong May Chua Exclusive National Final Organiser : ADONIA MEDIA
MESSAGE FROM ADONIA MEDIA Exclusive National Final Organising Committee Our greatest pleasure comes from the fact that YB Dato’ Nolee Ashilin binti Dato’ Mohd Radzi, admirable guests of honour, members of the media, sponsors in partnership, ladies and gentlemen from various walks of life are in tune with our endeavour. As joint organisers for the Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2022 National Grand Final we feel compelled to underscore the trust and confidence Tan Sri Datuk Danny Ooi has placed in us ‘4 Women’ to play the pivotal role of making this event come to reality. We chose Ipoh as the centre of this pageantry for one simple reason, and that is the super stimulating effect this city emanates from the limestone hills, mirror lakes, picturesque green clad landscape and authentic epicurean gastronomical cuisine. Between the sunrise of Mount Korbu and the sunset at Kledang Range, the Kinta valley where the Bougainvillea city sits becomes an enriching experience to all those near and far. This is the very reason we chose Ipoh as our venue for Miss Malaysia Tourism Pageant 2022 National Grand Final, where the beauties of our nation will have a heavenly platform to enthral residents of the city, state and guests from across Malaysia. The winners will represent our nation at Miss Tourism International World Final in Kuching, Sarawak coming this 25th November 2022. The national contestants have toured Perak and participated in enlivening community and charity activities, promotional events, tourism escapades and without fail, endless photography sessions. YB Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Binti Dato’ Mohd. Radzi State Housing, Local Government and Tourism Committee Chairman
MESSAGE FROM YB Dato’ Nolee Ashilin Binti Dato’ Mohd. Radzi State Housing, Local Government and Tourism Committee Chairman The role of beauty pageant tourism in the development of the tourism industry in Malaysia needs an in-depth study. As a woman, I am for the empowerment of Malaysian women in all fields. To empower by encouraging them to not only play the role of a mother and family caregiver, but to take up the mantle of being a responsible mentor to their family and the society. Pageants such as these will definitely be an enabling factor for women to shine. Predominantly, beauty pageants display a woman’s beauty and to a certain extent, their intellectual qualities. Beauty pageants normally happens with a few questions by the pageant host alongside slideshows of contestants and past winners conducting community services. I believe that this event today has gone beyond the traditional perception but now plays an important role post crowning. For us in Perak, we believe that this event will leave behind a series of footprints for industry players and stakeholders to establish a lasting foothold in Ipoh. I personally would like to see this event become a permanent feature in Ipoh, where the spillover effects will contribute positively to the discourse on gender, identity, culture, and consumerism besides just beauty. I sincerely hope that this pageant will begin to play a bigger role in promoting the development of tourism activities, diversify the product offer, and build awareness for domestic and international tourism. Via this event, I would also like the organisers to highlight tourism destinations, enrich the experience of participants, value-add the beauty pageant activities, attract more corporate partners, and create bigger crowds as well as tourism receipts. On our part, Tourism Perak will collaborate to strengthen the development of MICE segment and niche packages to further boost its tourism sector post COVID-19 pandemic. Lastly, I congratulate ADONIA MEDIA comprising of 4 professional women of substance from four different industries for their creativity, inspiration, passion, and ideals that has made today’s event filled with beautiful memories for all of us. To the participants, I hope you will continue to strive as valuable members of society and all the best in the grand final in November. With much appreciation, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin binti Dato’ Mohd.
