• Place the transportation lid on to the IBC and ensure is tight to prevent leakage • Repeat this process on the 2nd IBC but place the footvalve into the second water bucket The IBC’s are now ready to be removed. Please be aware of the suction hoses and buckets of water when removing and replacing the IBC’s. If any damage appears to of happened to the tubing/hosing please contact your IWS engineer or account manage ASAP. 51

Reconnection • Ensure that you are still wearing required PPE • Ensure IBCS are replaced in the same position as previous • Red hose is for acid, blue hose is for chlorite – DO NOT MIX THESE UP • Using an appropriate method climb level with the IBC • Remove the transportation lid • Carefully remove the footvalve from the bucket of water and replace back into IBC • Screw lid tight ensuring that both tubes have entered into the IBC • Repeat this process on the second IBC Chemical Spillage – Recommended Actions For contact with ACID – please see ACID MSDS sheet For contact with CHLORITE – please see CHLORITE MSDS sheet The chemical should now be ready to go. Get medical attention. General first aid, rest, warmth and fresh air. When breathing is difficult, properly trained personnel may assist affected person by administering oxygen. Ingestion Get medical attention immediately! Immediately give a couple of glasses of water or milk, provided the victim is fully conscious. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING! Skin contact Remove contaminated clothing. Wash the skin immediately with soap and water. Get medical attention if irritation persists after washing. Eye contact Immediately flush with plenty of water. Remove any contact lenses and open eyes wide apart. Call an ambulance and continue flushing during transportation to hospital.
