Vivekanand 1 at a glance The Vivekanand 1 is the first in a series of three Le Tourneau 116e rigs being built for Foresight Drilling by the Chinese yard COSCO near Beijing. As well as being built to a recognised and successful design, these new rigs incorporate the latest technology to optimise efficiency, reliability and performance. All the key equipment (summarised below) has been sourced from recognised leaders in their field from either the USA or Europe.
