Shane Johnson TD&P Equity Partner and Vice President Shane Johnson has broad clinical experience and an extensive background in case management and FDA policy. Over his career, Mr. Johnson has developed a reputation as a thought leader and Expert Witness advocate in the District of Columbia’s Medicaid, insurance, and HIV/AIDS community. Prior to joining TD&P, Mr. Johnson worked with Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Amerisource Bergen Consultant as a senior reimbursement case manager. In this role, he coordinated care among patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to determine the benefits and coverage for specialty medications treating rare genetic disorders. Mr. Johnson’s breadth of knowledge regarding payer systems and the reimbursement of specialty pharmaceuticals has established him as a leading subject matter expert for co-pay assistance programs, home-infusion therapy benefits, and benefits coordination for Medicare/Medicaid dual-eligible persons. He also worked as a case manager and care coordinator for Trusted Health Plan, a D.C. Medicaid HMO, earlier in his career. His responsibilities included care coordination for Medicaid members with acute, complex and chronic care needs. TD&P Dr. Vera Dvorak, M.D. Vera Dvorak is a Board-certified internist and geriatrician. She has extensive experience in a Board Certified continuum of care, with over 40 years working in diverse healthcare settings including home health Internist and Geriatrician services, palliative care, and hospice. She has also served as medical director in all of these areas. Dr. Dvorak has been a practicing physician, a managed care executive, a strategic member of Medical Expert Witness corporate leadership, and vice president and medical director of hospital-based care coordination. She has overseen the appeals department in various managed care organizations; and is the Consultant founder of transitional care management for one of the largest healthcare systems in Northern Virginia.
