3e Ce:'tificates to r:l'.'aders. 7, On the admission, under section 6, gf any person as a pleader, the High Court shall cause a certificate, signed by such offi,rer as the Court. from time to time, appoints in this behalf, to be issued to such person, authorizing him to practise up to the end of the current year in the Courts and the revenue-offices specified therein, At the expiration of such period, the holder of the certificate, if he desires to continue to practise, shall, subject to any rules consistent with this Act which may, from time to time, be made by the High Court in this behalf, be entitled to have his certificate renewed by the Judge of the District Court within the local limits of whose jurisdiction he then ordinarily practises, or by such officer as the High Court, from time to time, nppoints in this behalf. On every such renewal, the certificate then 'in possessiort of such pleader shall be cancelled and retained by such Judge or officer. If such officer finds the charge established and considers that the pleader should be suspended or dismissed in consequence, he shall record his finding and the grounds thereof, and shall report the same to High Court; and the High Court may acquit, suspend or dismiss the pleader. Any District Judge, or with his sanction any Judge Suspension subordinate to him, any District Magistrate, or with his pendingin- sanction any Magistrate subsordinate to him,. and any vestigation authority not inferior to a Collector, or with the'Collector's sanction any revenue-officer subordinate to him, h8y, pending the investigation .and the orders of the High Court, suspend from practice any pleader charged before him or it under this section. (2A) Any authority empowered under sub-section (l) to frame and publish a list of touts may send to any Court subordinate to such authority the names of any persons alleged or suspected to be tout$ and order that Court to hold an inquiry in regard to such persons; and the subordinate Court shall thereupon hold an inquiry into the conduct of such persons and, after giving each such person an opporlunity of showing cAlrsc as providcd in sub-section (2), shall report to ttrc\" authority which lras ordered the inquiry the name of each such person who has been provecl to the satisfaction of the subordinate Court to be a tout; and that authority may include the name of any such person in the list of touts framed and published by that authority ; Providecl that such authority' shall hear any such person who before his name has been so included appears before it aiid desires to be heard.

12 (3) A copy of every such list shall be kept hung up in every Court to which the shme relates. (a) The Court or Judge may, by general or special order, exclude from the precincts of the Court any person whose name is included in any such list. (5) Every person whose name is included in any such list shall be deemed to be proclaimed as a tout within .the meaning of, section 13, clause (e). (6) Any person who acts as a tout whilst his name is included in any such list shall be pdnishable with imprisonment which may extend to three months, or with fine. which may bxtend to five hundred kyats, or with both. CHAPTER VIII. Any legal practitioner. who acts or.agrees to act for any person may by private agreement settle with such person the terms of his engagement and the fee to be paid for his professional services. r43. Any such legal practitioner shall be entitled to institute and maintain legal proceedings for the recovery of any fee ' ifdue to him under the agreemeni, or, no, such fee has been settled, a fee computed in accordance with the law for the time being in force in regard to the computation of the costs to be awarded to a party in respect ofthe fee of his legal practitioner. t44. No legal practitioner who has acted or agreed to act shall, by reason only of being a legal practitioner, be exempt from liability to be sued in respect of, any loss or igjuV due to any negligence in the conduct of his professional duties. FIRST SCHEDULE *!t{.t}*!f L Myanmar Laws(Adaptation)Act, 1940(Myanmar Act XXVII, 1940), directed that the Legal Practitioners (Fees) Act, 1926 (India Act XXI, 1926) shall be inserted as sections 41,42,43 and zl4 of this Act. Sections 4l to 44 apply to advocates of the High Court also; see the definition of \"legal practitioner\" in section 2 (a) of the Legal Practitioners (Fees)
