This year MUMC friendsChurch!donated 26 coats, 2 scarves, 2 sweaters,and a pair of snow-pants.



Many thanks to our MUMC Fall Auction planning team, our many generouscongregational and community donors, and all who came to support our church! Weappreciate you and hope you had fun at ourFall Auction 2018. A little over $4000 was raised for the ministry and mission of Moscow United Methodist Church.Like Moscow United Methodist Churchon MUMC has received a grant through the Unitedfacebook Methodist Communications organization so that six days each week a spiritually engaging post is made to our church facebook page. This post is designed to engage people in encountering God and deepening in faith. The more people who Comment on these posts, Like the Moscow United Methodist Church facebook page and Share it with their friends, the more effective these posts will be in attracting new people to interact with our church. It’s a wonderful opportunity for outreach. Let’s get the word out!

Prescription Bottle UpdateOn Oct 31, 2018, another shipment of prescription and over the counter medicinebottles was sent to Matthew25Ministries in Cincinnati, Ohio. From there they aresent with medical teams to third world countries to assist with medicationdistribution. This shipment contained 1,751 bottles. MUMC’s total count is:9,898.....almost 10,000 bottles since March 2017! Thanks to everyone who continuesto bring in medicine bottles. The rules are simple:* plastic * with a cap * NO LABELSIF THE LABEL IS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE, SOAK IT IN DISH DETERGENTFOR A DAY OR TWO AND SCRAPE THE LABEL OFF WITH A KNIFE. If thatwon't work, place bottle in plastic recycling. We can't send it with a label attached. North Pocono Dry Goods Pantry December Christmas Giveaway Items Needed:Heavy Adult Socks – Coloring Books – Stuffed animals – Scented Candles – Adult Gloves – Adult Hats –Teenagers: $5/10 Gift Certificates, e.g. Dollar Tree, iTunes, etc. Place your items to donate in the dry goods bins area in the coat room- Thank You!Ron Lucas, Scranton District Volunteer in Mission (VIM) Coordinator is working with our local UMC churches on helping a neighbor in need.The following items or equivalent cash donations will be needed. Warren A. Heil Jr., 103 Simerson Rd, Elmhurst Twp, PA 18444-8558,died on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Hospice of the Sacred HeartInpatient Unit in Dunmore, PA. Warren served for many years as anAnnual Conference lay member and was elected as a delegate to boththe Northeastern Jurisdictional and General Conferences. Visitation willbe on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. atAsbury United Methodist Church, 720 Delaware St, Scranton, PA 18509-1916 and on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. atDaleville United Methodist Church, 423 Dorantown Rd, CovingtonTownship, PA 18444-7969. The funeral service will be on Saturday,November 3, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.at Daleville United Methodist Church.Interment will follow at Madison Union Cemetery, Madison Twp, PA.***************************************************MUMC Friends Carol and Ken Reuther are residing in Florida this winterwhile Carol receives medical treatments.
