As autumn schedules take shape and we become busy with many tasks – let’s take time to pray for all the wonderfulministries of our church, so we might be faithful disciples ofJesus and follow where he leads. Please pray often! Below is one suggested prayer.O gracious and loving God, here at Moscow UMC you have blessed us with many ministries: Worship, Sunday school,choir and music, stewardship, mission, Christian fellowship,The Learning Tree preschool, and community outreach – all these we participate in, for Jesus’ sake. Bless us that wemight do your will and reach out in faith and compassion to invite new people to seek you, know your presence, and trust in your promises. Amen.

Welcome to Chris Yevitz, Moscow UMC’s new administrativeassistant! Chris is a graduate of North Pocono High School and the University of Scranton. He is active in theater production allaround our area and at his church, St. John the Baptist ByzantineCatholic Church, in Scranton. Chris lives in Springbrook Township. Thank you to Erin Skonieczki who has served us for two years as MUMC’s administrative assistant and continues to help us.

Warm Coats from Warm HeartsShare some Warmth and spread some Love through yourDonations of new/gently used winter clothing (coats/jackets,hats, gloves, scarves, boots, shoes, socks, other winter wear,blankets). All sizes are needed, especially Children’s andMen’s. Bring to church during the month of October andplace in the wooden bin in the narthex. Items will bedistributed by Elm Park United Methodist Church inScranton, November 1-3. North Pocono Dry Goods Mission ProjectFor the next few months, we are collecting items needed forthe dry goods pantry: liquid laundry detergent, toilet paper 4-pks, shampoo, dish soap, tooth paste, bar soap or body wash, tissues, napkins, paper towels and spray cleaners.

Donation bins are in MUMC’s coat room. Thank you for your help with these projects!
