Kulen Thmei Primary School Located in Tbeng Kert Village, Tbeng Commune, Banteay Srei District, Siem Reap Province. It''s about 35 km from Siem Reap City, take around 40 minutes drive by private bus and continue about 10mn by walking from the main road in Tbeng Community.

IntroductionKulen Thmei Primary School is one of the poor schools among 9schools in Banteay District. It is about 35km from Siem Reap City.Take 40minute drive by bus.The school has two buildings with 5 rooms. One building was built byCambodian Red Cross(National Fund) in 1997. Another building was built byPLAN (NGO) in 2011. The new wooden classroom is recently being built by LocalKorean NGO.- The existing infrastructure currently has one office, one library, two toiletsand one kitchen.- There are 7 teacher staffs included one school principal, 5 females and twomales.- There are 141 students, 63 female students in academic year 2016-2017.- Class hour starts at 7.00 am till 11.00 am from kindergarten till grade 6.

How can we help?REPAIR AND MAKING MORE TABLES- Most classroom tables are in bad condition, some of them are swaying.- The students have to sit on those broken tables during their study time.- Table for teacher and students need to be fixed and set up more for this school.

How can we help?The lack of classrooms have made it very difficult for students. Theyhave to study under the tree in an open air environment. The childrenurgently require safe learning environment and quality education,and there are many obstacles including lack of funds and facilities.

How can we help?Help to fix and re-paint ordecorate for the oldclassroom.Help to build a new woodenclassroom (Width: 7m Length:8m Height:2.80m)

How can we help?Repair KitchenKitchen for breakfastneeds to be repaired asthe current one is in oldcondition.Building Dining AreaIt’s more difficult for kidswhen the rain falls downwhile having theirbreakfast. It needs to bebuilt immediately!

How can we help?Kulen Thmei School needsto build garden to promotethe clean and beautifulschool environment now.School teach students theadvantage of gardening andagriculture concepts andskills where help much toglobal environment.

How can we help?Playgroups are a great wayfor children to practice thefine art of getting along andtrying new skills withexperiences.Children will organizeplaying role activitiestogether such as sing asong, dancing, doinghandicrafts or making agood relationship with newfriends.This school needs to befixed and set up moreplayground now.

How can we help?Build a learning cottage outsidethe classroom where studentscan do more research,homework, work in group,exercise etc. It gives morechance for them to do theirbrainstorming and they feelrelaxing as well. Students willget good learning result fromthis learning cottage.

How can we help?It is important for the cleanenvironment in school. Moreimportant thing for studentsare learning to allocate therubbish. Students will sharethis habit to their personalfamily when students learnfrom it. Currently the schoolhas very few rubbish bin and itis not sustainable which it ismade from bamboo and rattan.It needs to be made from woodor truck tires.

What can we help more?School still needs more teaching facilities such as:- Building a showroom where students can learn from moderntechnical tool such as LCD Projector, television, and computersetc...- Teaching students on personal hygiene and English course- Experience culture sharing program with interaction class- Sport materials and table football- Donating school some need stationary for academic year.
