Quarter 3OctoberIn the last few days of October , 60 Juniors attended Hightown Fire Station for a Trick or Treat and Bonfire Night themedUniform Services day.We had First Aid with St Johns Ambulance Service, delivering a short course on choking. With many young childrengoing out trick or treating and eating sweets, this fitted well with the theme. The Police ran a session around appropriate trick or treating and covered the law on fireworks. The Fire Brigade did talks and tours of the station and engines. These were all themed around encouraging people to goto organized displays, or stay safe on bonfire night. They also covered home fire safety and in particular smoke alarms. We were all ready for the final big show by the fire brigade when they had a real life shout and had to leave us veryquickly. It was a shame in one way, but exciting for the Juniors who got to watch a real live shout. Video Fire Station Themed Uniform Services Day
