He is the fourth generation of a shipping family, has been a member of the Baltic Exchange since 1976 and has worked with a Lloyd's underwriter and as a shipbroker, charterer, ship owner, ship operator, gasoil futures broker and commodities trader in London and abroad. Interlink International Trading (UK) Ltd was founded by him in 1994, providing maritime and commodities commercial claims consultancy and bespoke corporate training. In 2002, Jerey founded and is the principal lecturer of his college in London, Maritime Education & Training Ltd. Past Chairman and Education Ocer and again currently Vice Chairman of the London Mr. Jerey Blum Branch, he has been a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers since 1979 and has FICS FCIArb served on various ICS committees since 1983.
