School of Who they’re looking for Design The School of Design looks for students who love design, are expressive, highly motivated and passionate. Those who are curious, analytical in thinking and prolific in imagination are likely to do well. All courses will require an aptitude test, an interview and a portfolio review. We look out for those with strong interest in design disciplines, who can demonstrate some level of creativity and the ability to generate new ideas. We look for strong portfolios that show evidence of passion and development of original ideas, with a diverse scope of work that goes beyond just schoolwork. While a background in Art or Design & Technology may be helpful, it is not compulsory.
