Men’s Soccer

Meet The Coach Dan Roberts joined the Emmanuel College staff during the spring of 2016, becoming just the third- ever Head Coach of the Men's Soccer program. Roberts brings to Emmanuel a wealth of Division III experience as both a coach and a former student- athlete. Most recently, Roberts was the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach at University of Massachusetts Boston, where he helped lead the Beacons to a Little East Conference Championship and to an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2015. Prior to the 2015 season at UMass Boston, Robertswas the Assistant Coach at COF rival Wentworth Institute of Technology for two years.As a collegiate player, Roberts was a four-year member and two-time team captain ofthe Bridgewater State University Men's Soccer Team. He earned All-MASCAC honorsthree years in a row and represented the men's soccer team on BSU's Student-AthleteAdvisory Committee (SAAC) for three years.Roberts also has a great deal of club coaching experience and is currently affiliated withthe FC Boston Bolts program. Emmanuel College’s SportsFacilitiesThe Saints’ home venue is unlike any in Boston. The team plays on a synthetic turffield at Roberto Clemente Field, located across the street from Emmanuel’s campus.With its open-stadium design and the city’s skyline as its backdrop, Clemente Fieldmakes for a unique playing experience. In addition, the Saints have access to a state-of-the-art training facility in the Jean Yawkey Center, a new film room for gametape review and scouting and a new locker room for men’s lacrosse. Great Northeast AthleticConferenceEmmanuel College competes in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC),comprised of 12 New England colleges and universities. Teams that win a GNACChampionship receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.GNAC colleges with participating men’s soccer programs include: Albertus MagnusCollege, Anna Maria College, Johnson & Wales University, Lasell College, Mount IdaCollege, Norwich University, Rivier University, Saint Joseph's College (ME) and SuffolkUniversity.on a daily basis.
