Howdy Mr. Jackson,    I am Michelle Gallagher, board member for the Jingle Bell Market 2019- a Christmas shopping extravaganza  and fundraiser designed to help raise awareness for local charities and promote small businesses in the BCS.  The event, which is in year number 6, will take place at Pebble Creek Country Club and is hosted by local  Realtor Megan Bock. We are looking for donations from local businesses for grab bags and/or the silent  auction. This year, we’re raising money for OnRamp, which provides reliable transportation to people in need  to help them on the road to self-sufficiency and to share with them the grace of God. Every penny we raise  this year as a result of your donation and all our cash and item donations will go DIRECTLY to OnRamp.    Last year, Jingle Bell Market raised over $5,000 and we were able to fully fund the purchase of an Aggie Ring  for five Military Veteran students through Aggie Rings for Veterans. This year, the goal is to triple that  number and reach $15,000, which is enough to provide reliable vehicles to three deserving local families!    Would VERA BANK be willing to donate to the cause?  Megan and her team will make a social media post promoting any business that participates.  OnRamp is a recognized 501c3 charitable organizations and all donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.    We are looking for local businesses to donate in one of three ways…    A. Donate at least one item that valued $25 or more for the “grab bags” we are selling at the event for $20 each.    B. Donate ONE item that is valued at over $100 for the silent auction.    C. Cash donations that will go directly to the cause. Here’s a little more about OnRamp and their mission…           Since its founding in 2017, OnRamp has given away twenty-six reliable vehicles to individuals         and families in need in the Brazos Valley, and repaired many more. All recipients are sponsored         by local charity, government, or religious organizations. They are men and women who are         already taking significant steps towards self-sufficiency, but who need a vehicle to continue         that journey. OnRamp finds reliable vehicles through purchase or donation and gifts these         vehicles to our clients so they can get back on the road without having to turn to predatory         lenders. We service donated vehicles free of charge for the first year to help families progress         towards their financial goals.
