WE ARE SAN MARCOS A PENNY FORYOUR THOUGHTS This magazine is all about downtown San Marcos, so talk to us! Tell us why you love San Marcos and you'll have the chance to be featured in Taste of San Marcos. Visit our website to submit your entry. What I love about San Marcos is that everything is in walking distance to each other. Walking from class, downtown is a short walk away. If I’m in a mood for dinner or drinks or coffee, it's all there. The bottom line is that San Marcos has everything I need. – Scott Jones, San Marcos Resident I’ve lived in this town or over 25 years. I attended South West Texas University Today It is known as Texas State University. Next year my grand- daughter will be attending. This is what I love the most about San Marcos, its overwhelming sense of family and tradition. Many know San Marcos as the hill country, but I just call it home. – Dorothy Cruz, San Marcos Resident I grew up in a huge city where the food is overpriced, and the people are mean. After relocating here, it's like a whole new world.. This town felt like home instantly. I love that I can have a delicious meal and not break the bank and that the people here are immensely kind.Though I was not born here, I believe that San Marcos has the ability to turn strangers into neighbors. – Jayne Miller, New San Marcos resident
