Teachers Training A great teacher is critical to student achievement. So, how does a teacher become great? Just as training is required for any specialized profession, teachers must train. They must train before they enter the classroom, and they must receive ongoing training even as they work in the classroom. From college with certification coursework, to student teaching, to ongoing professional development (PD), teachers are continuously training during their careers. All this training gives new teachers the greatest chance of success as well as sustain veteran teachers as they meet new challenges in education. When this training does not happen, there is a risk that teachers may leave the profession early. With the growing demand and recognition there is a need to have quality educators or experts in the field of preschool.

Mass PT, Yoga, Aerobics and dance Self-protection is an important aspect of life, on the other hand, it is important to be fit healthy and active, keeping this motto in our mind, we have regular karate classes and mass P.T classes. During these classes, the young Goenkans learn about self-defence, coordination and self-control. The karate classes provide them with the ideology of controlling the mind and body together. The karate classes are taken by students of grade I to grade VII. Exercise increases energy level. Exercise improves both the strength and the efficiency of our body .Our next highlight is on mass P.T where the students learn to be energetic and learn to be physically fit. The classes are taken by students of grade I to grade VII on a regular basis.

Sound communication assists good understanding and cooperation. Parents and community members are invited to come to our Parent Center, fill up a warm cup of coffee, and receive the latest news and events on campus. Coffee with the Principal is also a time for parents to hear about the instructional program, gain strategies to assist their children, ask questions and/or share concerns that will positively impact student academic achievement. Each session is specifically designed for parents to hear directly from the Principal. Parents also visit different grade levels to observe the instruction, which also allows them to pick up teaching tips they might be able to implement at home. Coffee with the Principal offers you a time to learn how to support your child’s academic success at GDGPSP. Parent workshops related to improving home and school environment are on offer at each meeting. It’s also a great time to meet other parents and share the joy of celebrating the school’s progress. All parents and community members are welcome! Coffee With Principal

Innovations The classroom is the original cultivator of true learning and the green house that nurtures talent and creativity. The dynamics between a teacher and students define the essence of a classroom. Hence to optimize the learning methods, teachers are trying to be more creative than ever before. Here’s a glimpse of some of the innovative techniques that teachers are trying out to make learning effective, engaging and fun. a) Innovation in English (Write up on Tunnel , Created own Traffic signals) b) Innovation in SST (Skit on Domestic violence and Gender Discrimination) on Domestic violence and Gender Discrimination) c) Innovation in Science (Rain water harvesting) d) Innovation in Hindi (composed own Poetry) e) Innovation in Math’s (Prepared their own recipe from the measurement of Mass, composed a poem on 3-D shapes)

HOUSE BOARD DECORATIONS Our school places maximum stress on the overall development of children . One way to develop them is to put more emphasis on their thinking capacity, leadership quality and teamwork. Every month we have house board decoration. The house board decoration is based on the theme and the value of the month. In the month of October, our school had the theme of “Swach Bharat” and the value was “Care for others”. The main motive to decorate the house boards as per the theme and the value is to inculcate good moral values among our young Goenkans. Students came up with wonderful ideas and scripts related to the theme and the value. They even drew wonderful sketches related to the topic. As the board decoration is an inter house activity, students participated actively.
