It is a group of 30+ ROYAL ENFIELDer's from AERDC, Engine Division and IMGT engaged not just for weekend rides, but for exploring the true purpose of life by rendering selfless contribution to the society. Be it be plantation, cleanliness, donation, exploring real history, the ROYALS of ENGINES are redefining the very purpose of their core idea of selfless service. They arrange the rides on public holidays to mark its significance and to spread the awareness. A glimpse of the many rides so far speak about their worth The first ride was to KYASAMBALLI, place of first Chief Minister of Karnataka, K. Second ride to VEERA SOUDHA at Vidhurashwatha \" The Jallianwalabagh of South India\". A monument is built in the remembrance of 30 satyagrahis who laid their lives to the bullets in 1938 when they were staging a protest, demanding a FLAG. Third ride to Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar`s tomb to pay homage. The inspirational actor who halted his journey abruptly was given the due adieu. Plantation drive at Mandur forest on world environmental day, with more than 100 saplings planted. These plants today stand 6 to 8 feet tall as souvenirs for the future. Freedom ride to Shivapura at Mandya, a place where another monument is built to remember the FLAG protest in south India. This monument stands high, reaffirming the grit and determination of children and women who guarded the flag pole for more than a month. Contributory ride to AMMANA MADILU, an orphanage providing food, shelter and education to 22 destitute children at Kolar. A couple in mid forties have dedicated their lives, by rendering service to every need of each child from clothes to shelter and from schooling to food for brining the change to the lives of these kids. For the ROYALS of ENGINES, every ride starts from Engine Division Gate with a flagging off by sen- ior executive and superannuating people. These riders instil self discipline, punctuality, belongingness, traffic awareness, safety, and inspiration to others. Apart from these rides, the group is actively involved in identifying the needs of the society by contributing towards various social causes like, blood donation, provision of daily needs to the poor, school fee payment for the needy, etc. The group has inspired many to indulge in social services in the best possible ways.
