Preface This book was compiled and written based on the curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Sports to improve the quality of learning and teaching which is composed of sixteen weeks, three hours per week. This newly developed textbook, in theoretical sense, one-hour will be delivered to the class, while the remaining two hours will be in practice through a wide range of techniques such as explanation, discussion, games, demonstration, role-play, individual work, group work, observation and peer feedback. It is highly hoped that this book will benefit and improve the quality of learning and teaching English to primary students which will focus on four language skills, for instance, speaking, listening, reading and writing. The students will be primarily taught alphabets, vocabulary, songs, creation of teaching aids and the use of them in the process of teaching and learning. This book was developed and written by the author who mainly based on the experience of teaching English. Hence, it was inevitable that there are probably faults in the contents and grammar.
