Hats off to Eddie and the gang for all the hard work, putting in steps and paths (not to mention very tricky target lanes) to make this course one, if not the best in the country. Really looking forward to UKIFAC 2020. Thanks to my shooting buddies today Marcin, Lazlo and his wife Suzy and of course, my beloved Fiona.” 102

Christmas Fun at Kings Forest Bowmen! FAN UK Photographer, friend and field archer - Mark Service - went with his lovely wife, Stacey (pictured right), to Kings Forest Bowmen’s Christmas fun shoot on 1st December 2019. He kindly took these terrific photos and shared them with me… and now you. Thanks Mark, you’re a star! Mark told me:- “The Kings Forest Xmas shoot was loads of fun... 3 arrows. Each target had it's own scores, for example - Red Cracker = 2 points, Blue Cracker = 6 points, Santa = 20 points. Some even had 0 points (!!) so you could have had 3 really good shots and score nothing... and yes I did do that!!” He also shared - “When we 1st came to this target I thought it was a bear with short legs in a thong!!! Apparently it's a bear in a tie!” It is really great to see how much effort our wonderful field clubs go to for not only their own members but for their visitors too. It just goes to show what a terrific sport we are all a part of, and it certainly explains why field archery is the enchanter of so many souls - Hels. 104
