Research Paper Improving Students’ Expression By Using Islamic English Song Adeelah Al-Edris 592445042 Department of Teaching English, 4th year Student

OBJECTIVES TO INCREASE STUDENTS’ EXPRESSION THROUGH SPEAKING BY USING ISLAMIC ENGLISH SONG. TO SURVEY STUDENTS’ SATISFACTION TOWARD ACTIVITIES IN THE ENGLISH CAMP.

METHODOLOGY

POPULATION THAI PRIMARY STUDENTS GRADE 4

SAMPLE 33 STUDENTS OF GRADE FOUR IN A PRIMARY SCHOOL AT SANTI WITTAYA SERONG SCHOOL.

INSTRUMENTATION 1 Islamic Song for kids: Alhamdulillah and  Let’s get the Gardening (Omar and Hana) 2 Activities: Tap and go, Act and go, Reordering the expression, Serong Bridge and Matching the expression. 3 Activity for assessment is Islamic Song Market.

IT TOOL Islamic Video Song for kids (Omar and Hana) Alhamdulillah Song Let’s get the Gardening Song

PROCEDURE STEP 1: PREPARING Introduce the video song by asking the questions to the samples. STEP 2: PRESENTATION OF EXPRESSION BY VIDEO SONG1:ALHAMDULILLAH SONG. The researcher turns on the video 3 times. 1. The student have to listen only. 2. The students have to listen carefully. 3.The students have to repeat the expression after teacher. STEP 3: PRACTICE 1 (SCAFFOLDING) There are 3 stage for practice. 1. Repeat verse by verse. 2. Explain the meaning. 3. Teach how to sing a song.

STEP 4: PRESENTATION OF EXPRESSION PROCEDURE BY VIDEO SONG 1 The researcher turns on the video 3 times. 1. The student have to listen only. 2. The students have to listen carefully. 3.The students have to repeat the expression after the teacher. STEP 5: PRACTICE 1 (SCAFFOLDING) There are 3 stage for practice. 1. Repeat verse by verse. 2. Explain the meaning. 3. Teach how to sing a song. STEP 6: PRODUCT . The researcher assesses the student by Islamic Song Market activity. There are 3 assessments to evaluate the students; 1. Assess by expression. 2.Assess both expression and meaning. 3. Assess by the whole song.

Finding Based on the result, it can considered that the students was improved the expression  in a middle level by using Islamic song .

Satisfaction of the students Students want to learn with using islamic song and combine with the activities.The students also can remember the vocabulary from Islamic song. It make them feel enjoy with the song and happy.
