THE NATI N UNITES Hello Everyone, this is Rtr. Varad Deshpande, being official since 2019 was an amazing journey till now. And throughout the journey I had planted so many trees, but in this Presidential year, something new to happen, something great, something BIG. Last year due to COVID-19 pandemic we have initiated PLANT FROM HOME, and this year on the occasion of Independence Day, we have decided to Unite the whole Nation as famously described UNITY IN DIVERSITY. Moving along with this concept and thought, we approached all over India and not only this, we also Collaborated with Pakistan and Bangladesh club's. Besides this, we also conducted one informative session on Plants and Trees i.e ROOT TO GROOT, which enhances to understand the living structure of plants and trees and also how they help us in all ways, Guest speaker of the event was Rtn. Satish Khade sir. We are thankful to you sir for such an great informative session. Also, we did an synergy with our very own Parent Rotary club i.e Rotary Club of Pune Laxmi Road. Really, it was one of the biggest achievement in my Presidential year and also for our Pune Urja club. The Urja club is always coming with an URJA to serve the URJA for the community. Every year we do this event on our club level or district level but this year we decided to do with the clubs across the country. Our main motive behind this was to spread awareness about Tree Plantation. With this motive we connected with 28 Clubs, 300+ Rotaractors across the country. Apart from tree plantation we also arranged a PD session called Root to Groot which was conducted by Rtn. Satish Khade Sir. We are very proud that we have done 1500+ tree plantations in this event. This is an immense pleasure for our club that we hosted this grand event. Personally I am also feeling very glad that I was also part in planning and organising this event. THE NATI N UNITES \" Well, Experience of this event was great. As Tree Plantation was our Flagship event we do every year but this year we thought Let's do something big. Let's include the whole nation in it. So we decided to collaborate with different clubs from all over the India. As it was independence day and It would set an example for our unity. So to make this event successful our team started contacting various club through instagram, facebook, emails and some more socialmedia sites. It was great learning experience as it helped us to develop communication skills. And finally we collaborated with 28 other clubs. On 15th August all clubs planted plants and made this event successful. Overall this event helped to make new friends, learn new things, improve communication, etc.\" URJA REGARDS, Rtr. Ajinkya Naik PDD & Co-CMD RAC Pune Urja RID-3131 | ZONE-04 RIY 2021-22 Hi, I am Rtr.Pooja Jahagirdar serving as International Service Director of Rotaract Club of Pune Urja for RIY- 2021-22. Rotaract is not just a community, but it is an emotion of bringing people together, to exchange ideas. It is an opportunity to build friendship, giving back to the community. Talking about Rotaract Club of Pune Urja, basically focuses on Community service based projects. Tree plantation is one of the Flagship event of our Club. I feel very proud of the team and everyone involved for the Event \"One Nation, One Motive\" which was executed successfully and that too on a very large platform. On the occasion of Independence Day, a thought to collaborate the event with all Indian States and other nations made this as a Mega Event. This event symbolised the Unity among all the Rotaractors, Non-Rotaractors and even the Rotarians by bringing them together and creating new bonding. It is said that Unity is Strength, when there is Teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved. I can proudly say that this a great achievement . Inspite of this Pandemic Co-vid situation, we approached and collaborated with 29 Rotaract Clubs and few Rotary Clubs from different states of India. Also few Rotaract Clubs from other Countries of Pakistan and Bangladesh. I appreciate everyone who were part of this Project for which we received a very huge response. This event helped to plant more than 1500 trees in one day. Besides this Mega Event, a joint PD session was conducted before this event named' Root to Groot'. The Guest Speaker for this session was Rtn.Satish Khade, who helped us to understand the importance of tree plantation. We already know the impact and its significance as it is the basic need for us. A very informative and interactive session which helped us to fulfill multiple Twin club and Sister Club agreements among many Rotaract Clubs. Twinning and collaborating this event helped to increase our bonds amongst all Clubs and allowed us to mature and be more connected for Good. I personally feel this event will always be remembered as its BEST and hoping such great projects in future as well. THE NATI N UNITES On this Independent day, we organized the Tree Plantation program. Basically The event motive was to create awareness of tree plantation inwards society and plant as many as possible tress. The initiative was taken by the Event Chairperson Rtr. Ajinkya Naik with his hardworking team and they made it happen. Trees bring people together. They act as a landmark within a neighbourhood and encourage pride amongst people within that community. They give children somewhere to play in and feel a sense of adventure. As we see and experience that even the humans, animals and the environment depend upon trees for survival. Therefore, as deforestation continues, we must put back what we’re taking away. By planting more trees, it will contribute to global reforestation efforts, restoring lost forests, repairing damaged ecosystems and mitigating climate changes. 15th August, it was a very special day for the whole Nation so we thought Let's get together and do it in all over the nation One Nation showing our unity. So we contacted many clubs through our personal and club instragram handles for collaborating and 28 Clubs participating. And it is said that communication is key of success and we succeed in our goal. We approach many clubs 300+ Rotaractors and finally we made this happen with 29 other clubs all over India and also from neary Countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh. And we planted more than 1500 tree on the day. 1500+ Trees While planting trees they captured their beautiful movements and shared to our editors. Everyone was happy to take initiative for keeping our environment healthy. The value and purpose of trees is enormous; and their existence is vital for our survival that was this was successfully completed. When unity is found from base; opportunities arise countless.
