I don’t think Freud’s theory applied to me. I could relate to the 2nd stage of Eriksons theory, Autonomy Vs Shame and doubt. His theory’s third stage also is relatable as I used to feel guilty for the way I behaved. Piagets first 3 stages seem to happen in the background unnoticed until this assignment. Formal operational stage of his theory doesn’t seem to appropriate fully but in bits and pieces yes. For certain habits, I was conditioned operantly. I recollect those days and now understand why it worked, for example I was made to speak the unspoken language by my grandmother. Every time I missed, I was insulted. Eventually to be cautious for her sign I developed observational habit which is what she wanted me to develop. I could say my development occurred variably with eclectic way. At each stage developments occurred, I noticed them only when they were the most dominating amongst others. We all learn things different ways, and my unique was to breakdown anything till it is raw. One point to notice was that I learnt many things before the usual time period. It is truly amazing to see how much I have achieved over nearly 2 decades of my life.
