PRINCIPAL'S MESSGAE \"It takes something more than intelligence to act intelligently.\" ~ Fyodor Dostoevsky CMS UNITED WORLD CAMPUS is overwhelmed to come up with the launch of its seventh edition of \"Bits & Bytes\" for the month of January. We are fervid to forge wonders each day, to make our little ones exemplary , to build prodigious minds and a surpassing character and future. The month of January had the celebration of various days and festivals to instil character education in them. The celebration of Republic Day taught the students about the sacrifices made by our great martyrs and what it means to love one's nation. And, as we all know how importance science is in today's technological world and how everything works and the force behind it is science, so to make the children have hands-on science our campus organized Inter Campus Science Model Competition SCIFARI. It had 21 campuses participating and demonstrating their talents with beautiful science based exhibits. Aadya Sahai of Grade 5 bagged the 3rd Prize. It was a great day and event to storm the scientific skills with some skits and performances too. The celebrations created cognizance among them about various Sustainable Development Goals and how they can contribute to the community as a whole.

We are really proud and exuberant to acclaim that we are ready with all new hopes and hues to bring out the seventh edition of Bits & Bytes. This magazine mirrors the school's aims and objectives and also highlights events, activities and academic prowess. In this Ms.Shameen Khan edition, we have tried to capture the month’s Assistant Teacher excitement and activities. It will help to relive the events like Republic Day, Basant Panchami and the grandest event of this academic year , SCIFARI, an Inter Campus Science Model Competition which was organised by the campus. MAKAR SANKRANTI & LOHRI The festival Lohri has a very old history. The festival marks the end of the cold chilly winter and welcomes the arrival of spring and New Year. The children of CMS United World Campus celebrated Lohri and Makar Sankranti by dressing in yellow traditionals and speaking few lines on the festival. The importance of Lohri and Makar Sankranti was explained to children by showing them videos. They enjoyed popcorn, gajak and sweets made from peanuts and jaggery. The little ones had a perfect time and the glimmering faces looked so spontaneous and excited. Such activities develop communication skills along with community development, character education and the fundamentals of culture belongingness.
REPUBLIC DAY “Let us remember the golden heritage of our country and feel proud to be a part of India.” Republic Day was celebrated in United World Campus with a great éclat. The online mode of classes could not hamper the celebration and the patriotic fervor. To add the spirit of patriotism, the pre-primary children were dressed in all white with a tricolor stripe on their faces. The teachers showed videos on Republic Day and elucidated the meaning and significance of the day. The children did a fun craft activity- making the National Flag with orange and green lentils and white rice. The celebration taught the little learners a good lesson on Character Education, Citizenship and Culture and the craft activity helped them to deploy their creativity skills. Primary students too celebrated Republic Day with great zeal. Students gave beautiful dance performances on various patriotic songs such as “Ae watan aabad rahe tu” and “Vande Matram”. There were quizzes organized which made students aware about the importance of Indian Constitution. Role plays of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Annie Besant won everyone’s heart.
NATIONAL YOUTH DAY Arise! Awake! And stop not until the goal is reached. Every year Swami Vivekananda's birth date January 12 is celebrated as National Youth Day. He taught the world the importance of youth in the process of nation-building. To commemorate the event, students of CMS United World Campus read quotes and slogans given by this great monk. Students made presentations and gave speeches on the life history of Swami Vivekananda and highlighted his contributions towards building a better nation.
PARAKRAM DIWAS(NETAJI SUBHASH CHANDRA BOSE BIRTH ANNIVERSARY) “Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom”— the quote by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose inspired thousands of Indian youths to join the struggle for independence from the British colonial rule. A pivotal figure in India’s freedom movement, Netaji is considered by many as one of the greatest leaders ever born. To commemorate his contribution to India’s struggle for independence, we at CMS-United World Campus, celebrated his 125th birth anniversary on 23rd January. Children portrayed themselves as young soldiers of Azad Hind Fauj and with the quotes ignited the young souls.
BASANT PANCHAMI “Basant Panchmi” is an occasion that marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. The students of CMS United World Campus celebrated the day with great fervour and enthusiasm. The children were dressed in yellow color attire. The celebration started with the singing of the spiritual song - 'Hey Sharde Maa'. As part of the activity for the day, the significance of Basant Panchami was explained to the students. Its association with the yellow colour, the blooming of mustard flowers and the arrival of spring were also elaborated. Students too came forward with beautiful presentations and Quizzes explaining the importance of this festival.

SCIFARI- INTERCAMPUS SCIENCE MODEL COMPETITION \"Nothing in life is to be feared, only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.\" – Marie Curie It is a great moment of elation for us as we announce that CMS United World Campus successfully organized their maiden event SCIFARI: A Journey to Sciland, an Inter Campus Science Model Competition. The children of class 5 from the various campuses of City Montessori School participated and got a chance to display their Science Models in front of a big audience. The Principal, Mrs. Kanika Kapoor, welcomed the Chief Guest, Mr. Raj Mehrotra, Head Regional Science City, Govt. of India; Respected Founder Manager, Respected Founder Director, Respected President, Respected Chief Executive Officer and the participating Campuses. The Chief Guest, Mr. Raj Mehrotra addressed the audience and in his speech, emphasized the need of critical thinking among the students. The judges for the competition comprised of Mrs. Amudha Dalal from Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, Mrs. Shalini Williams from Seth M R Jaipuria School, Lucknow and Mrs. Humra Javed from St Francis School, Lucknow. The students of all the campuses put forth their innovative ideas by presenting their ingenious models. Competitor of each campus participated enthusiastically and answered the questions asked by judges. Scifari was an occasion of celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity where the students of CMS United World Campus, presented their wonderful performances through Scientia Talk, role play- Meeting People from Sciland- Sci Jaunt, skit- The Hobgoblins of Pollution, choir- Euphonious Melodies and Prayer Dance- Ignited Spirits. The overall show displayed the coordination and cooperation of the students and staff members which brought praise to the school. Adding glitters to the celebration were the encouraging words by our Respected Founder Director, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi, President and Managing Director, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon and The Chief Executive Officer Mr. Roshan Gandhi. The achievers of the event were: Second Consolation: Ishi Pal, Station Road, First Consolation: Deval Singh, Gomti Nagar I, Third Prize: Aadya Sahai, UWS, Tejaswini Negi, Aliganj I and the First Prize was bagged by Gagan Agrawal, Mahanagar. The event was concluded by the motivational and inspiring words by our Respected Founder Director Dr. Bharti Gandhi.

Act of Charity “Deeds of giving our the very foundations of the world.” This very virtue of kindness and selfless service was taken up by CMS United World Campus. A teacher along with students went on a lookup drive for the distribution of the blanket which could give comfort from the bitter cold. We were really moved by the sight of few needy who were in dire need, blessed are we as we were the chosen one’s to be a part of it.
QUIZ CONDUCTED FROM FEBRUARY CMS BULLETIN “Learning gives creativity, creativity leads to thinking, thinking provides knowledge and knowledge makes us great.” Keeping in mind the resonance of the above mentioned words, a quiz was organized for the students of class II to V at United World Campus. The aim of the quiz was to test the learner's knowledge about the current affairs, achievements and events of CMS organizations and their various campuses. It was a unique way of making the children aware about their school and its achievements .The students showcased their brilliance by rapidly answering the questions.
Awards & Recognitions
“Winning means you are willing to go longer, work harder and give more than anyone else.\" It was a proud moment for our Aadya Sahai school when one of our students, VB Aadya Sahai of 5B, brought laurels by bagging the first prize in the online competition RANGOTSAV held by Delhi Public School Eldeco, Lucknow. The student participated in Parikatha (Illustration of Fairy Tale) and unleashed her creativity. She came out with flying colours. Great Going Aadya!
Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. With the aim of promoting scientific Aadya Sahai acumen and equip the learners with VB 21st century learning skills like critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity, a Science Model Making Competition was organized by CMS United World Campus for the students of CMS. family. Among 21 campuses participating, CMS United World Campus bagged the 3rd prize. It was WOW by Aadya Sahai of class V B who made a working model of a ropeway. We wish you success in life. May she keep shining!
A winner never stops trying. It gives us immense pleasure to announce that Mihika Gupta, a student of class Kindergarten B, of United World Campus was selected as the \"Star ⭐ of the Event\" in the National Rhymes Contest organised by City International School, Balaganj, in association with Asian Kids, A Preschool . Mihika was chosen as the Star of the Event on the basis of audience Mihika Gupta KG B poll on YouTube. Congratulations to our little shining star.
Success isn't just about what you accomplish in your life; it's about what you inspire others to do. Outstanding Principal, Ms. Kanika Kapoor and outstanding teacher of the campus, Ms. Dipti Goyal appeared in the CENTA TQ (Teaching Quotient) test on 16th October 2021 for primary school Mathematics and qualified the cut off with a total score of 68 and 63 respectively. The main highlight was the communication section of 25 marks which contained 2 video submissions. The videos were recorded and uploaded on the portal wherein the first was worth 20 marks that required to explain one out of the three given topics related to Mathematics and the second was a general question containing 2 topics, on any one of which they had to speak for 5 minutes. It was judged on the parameters of Subject Expertise, Classroom Communication and Elements ofVerbal Communication. They have been featured on the CENTA Wall of Fame for their achievement and have also received a digital badge on teaching quotient. Ms. Kanika Kapoor, Principal and Ms. Dipti Goyal, Assistant Teacher have also been shortlisted for International Centa TPO 2021 which is scheduled on 27th February 2022.
