AIT Entrepreneurship Center The AIT Entrepreneurship Center is a place for innovation, creation, and incubation to nurture and drive the entrepreneurial capabilities of AIT in collaboration with the industry to support the socio-economic development of the region. Launched in the last quarter of 2019, it aims to equip students and faculty with the spirit of innovation and start-ups.
Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System for Africa and Asia (RIMES) is an international and intergovernmental institution, owned and managed by its Member States, for the generation and application of early warning information. RIMES evolved from the efforts of countries in Africa and Asia, in the aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, to establish a regional early warning system within a multi-hazard framework for the generation and communication of early warning information, and capacity building for preparedness and response to trans-boundary hazards. RIMES was established on 30 April 2009, and was registered with the United Nations on 1 July 2009. RIMES operates from its regional early warning center located at the campus of the Asian Institute of Technology in Pathumthani, Thailand.
Geoinformatics Center (GIC) is a leading Remote Sensing and GIS organization in South East Asia. Recognizing the emerging importance of spatial technologies and the potential future demand for skilled professionals, GIC was established in Asian Institute of Technology in 1995 (in the beginning GIC was called GIS Application Center – GAC) . The aim was to create an environment that would help the need of the region in term of short-term training courses that are tailored to address potential applications in the regions. The initial financial support was provided by UNEP/RRC-AP.
AIT Solutions (AITS), formerly AIT Consulting, established by the Asian Institute of Technology, (AIT) offers innovative solutions in technology, engineering, environment, development, and management to contribute towards sustainable development of the region through expanded engagement and delivery of AIT’s research, knowledge, and expertise.
AIT Vision Lab (AVL) is the forerunner of AI Center. AVL was involved in developing applications using machine vision, image processing and pattern recognition algorithms infused with various sensor types (camera, radar, laser) along with web applications to support the analytics. AI Center is founded with a more focused vision of developing high quality applications that taps into the state-of-the-art deep learning and machine learning algorithms for increased robustness and automation.

Exchange Opportunities SAKURA Exchange Program in Science with Tokyo University of Science, Japan. “Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science” (Sakura Exchange Program in Science) is the program for enhancing exchanges between Asia and Japan of the youths who will play a crucial role in the future field of science and technology through the close collaboration of industry-academia-government by facilitating short-term visits of competent Asian youths to Japan.
