This design is inspired by the Italian movement started in the 80s by Ettore Sottsass. A dominating colour in the warp gives rise to rich chromatic responses when combined with different wefts. We learned from artisans to weave the multicolour yarn the same way they weave wicker and other natural fibres to make baskets and hats.
