Home Economics Club Home Economics stands for the ideal home life for today’s world . Unhampered by the traditions of the past and the utilization of all the resources of modern science to improve home life, we as EuroSchool students are proud to have such clubs that teach us management skills, different ways to improve our home life. Household management is not something that we should feel ashamed about, rather we should learn more about it enthusiastically. Home management skills shape the character of an individual, further develops his/her attitude towards managing things in life. Teachers of Euro School believe in practical approach, they teach us basic skills through demonstration of these activities. The session began with taking out the stereotype from young children , that only women or girls are responsible for the household duties. Home economics club enables students to develop a range of desirable personal qualities such as initiative, decision making and independence. It also makes the students understand the relevance of the subject for the individual and family.
Home Economics Club This pandemic has taught us a lot of things, it has made us realize the importance of nature and how useful it is. It has also made us spend more time in our very own house, which makes home economics; the need of the hour. The first activity showed us how to make a mask, masks are very important as it maintains safety from the coronavirus. Simple techniques were taught on how to make a mask from handkerchiefs and even a sock! The teachers made it very clear that during this pandemic there are some everyday protocols we should follow. These include-washing hands, sanitizing, wearing a mask outdoors, social distancing etc. Another activity was about planting a Marigold; Marigold is a flower that everyone would like to have in their garden, it spreads joy, happiness and is very easy to grow and maintain. The students were delighted to see how a marigold plant can be grown without much effort! Many other plants were also shown; this motivated the students to have such plants in their very own garden. The students were extremely glad to see and learn about home economics, they were really looking forward to the next session. -Lavanya Panwar (9A)

Sporting Extravaganza Zest 2020 VIRTUAL SPORTING EXTRAVAGANZA !! When the whole world is grappling with Corona virus pandemic, when sporting events across the world are getting cancelled including football, rugby, cricket, tennis to name a few, the sports enthusiasts at EuroSchool North Campus came up with an ingenious idea of “VIRTUAL SPORTS EVENT ZEST 2020”. From roller skating to yoga, from hula hoops to football including the multiple sports display, it turned out to be the most incredible virtual sporting EVENT!! The most awaited sporting event began with welcoming by the enchanting student hosts Vaishnavi & Tejaswani. Both the girls interacted in such a way that virtual screen never seemed a hindrance. It seems they were standing in front of each other!! The event began with the stupendous skating display by Syed Sameer and Chirantan , both from grade 9. The ease with which the students were roller skating was a treat to the eyes. India is a land of yogis. Yes! You guessed it right! The audience were stunned with most fluid Yoga poses presented by Aadishree & Aarushi. The soulful music with some prepossessing Yogasanas gave great aesthetic pleasure to the audience!
Sporting Extravaganza Zest 2020 This was followed by the stupefying Taekwondo display by Yashas P Raju & Aditya P Raju. Yashas P Raju , who has won many accolades at different championships, astounded the audience with his extraordinary Taekwondo kicks. The multiple sport display included stunning performances by Vidyut, Ashwin Tanay, Jeevan, Sreshth & Rohan for tennis, cricket, dribbling, basketball & hula hoops, respectively. When the audience on Facebook live event were all praise for the plethora of sporting display came the most enthralling football display, which proved to be the showstopper of the evening. The live football performance and balancing act by Shresth & Abhinandan both from grade 9, left the audience in complete awe. Regardless of the fact that it was a virtual event, EuroSchool North Campus kept the Indian culture & tradition alive by concluding the event with the national anthem. It was an evening filled with sportsmanship, enthusiasm & memories to cherish. All kudos to the teachers & students who untiring efforts kept the virtual audience on Facebook glued to their screens! The power packed and the most energetic performances made the audience jump out of their sofas. Through “ZEST -2020”,the students and teachers came together to celebrate the spirit of sports in one of the most iconic ways !!
