#Back2BackWIN: From the Lens of SEMIN Tigers By: Magnolia Quiogue & Patrick Alphonse Tizon Ending 2022 as the CU of the Year was truly the cherry on top of the cake. However, the road to the top was not all sweet and it sure wasn’t easy; even though the market already somehow recovered from COVID19, we were faced with even more difficult situations such as CO2 and sugar shortage which had a great impact on the total business especially volume and pricing; some were selling it twice and even thrice the (suggested retail) price. However, along the way we crafted initiatives to adapt to the situation and overall, helped Southeast Mindanao surpassed all the obstacles that made us the BEST CU of THE YEAR once again! #Back2Back Southeast Mindanao Tigers started the year hopeful and optimistic. Riding the high of last year’s triumph and recovering from a pandemic, everyone was ready to conquer 2022. Despite knowing that baselines will be higher, SEMIN sought out to achieve something that was unheard of: to be back-to back CU of the Year. Plans of simplifying programs, strengthening routines (up to Partner level) and great collaboration between Sell & Help Sell were in full effect, and it seem 2022 was going to be a breeze... Upskilling Our TIGERS By: Elenita Medura In line with our goal of making all our plants World-Class in Manufacturing, we launched the SMART program across our five sites: SR RGB, SR NRP, Canlubang, Bacolod, and Misamis Oriental. One of the key objectives of SMART is to upskill our front liners, who were given the opportunity to undergo various training sessions. These trainings include the use of digital platforms such as \"ENACT\" for quality data collection, and \"The Syrup App\" to digitize the manual checking of materials used in syrupprocessing. Additionally, our front liners were trained to use quality testing devices that were new to them. Despite the challenges posed by these new technologies, our front liners eagerly accepted the challenge and embraced the opportunity to develop new skills and expand their horizons. Their resilience and agility in adapting to change were remarkable, as they quickly learned and applied their new knowledge to their work. Overall, the SMART program has helped to improve the skills and knowledge of our front liners and has brought us closer to achieving our goal of becoming a world-class manufacturer.

Leadership Academy By: Jeanette Reabad First-Level Leadership Takes Center Stage in CCBPI We understand that all leaders, including ourselves, play a crucial role in CCBPI’s success. We continued the POLC: Essentials of Management Training Program in 2023, and on March 10th, we held the graduation ceremony for the remaining participants. We want to congratulate the 60 CCBPI Supply Chain Frontline Leaders who completed the program. Their dedication and hard work have prepared them for the next phase of development - the Frontline Leadership Program, launching in June 2023. Accelerating Leadership Development In February 2023, 25 leaders from Commercial and Supply Chain underwent the Leadership Development Center, a program designed to strengthen our talent and leadership pipeline across key business functions. Despite the rigorous assessments that included role plays, simulations, and presentations, our participants found the program engaging and enjoyable. The program also provided opportunities for meaningful discussions between participants and leaders, which ended on a positive note. As always, CCBPI is committed to developing our associates by providing tailor-fitted learning and development solutions ensuring that we develop the best talents in our organization. Functional Academy: Investing in Our Associates’ Development We believe that investing in the development of our associates is a key factor in our success. To ensure that our associates receive the best training possible, we have established three functional academies: Commercial, Supply Chain, and Support Functions.

Commercial Academy By: Jane Soteco The Commercial Academy launched the refreshed version of the Associate’s Learner Profile last February 10 as part of our Functional Pillar’s People Development Program, KO’REER KO’TO!. The Learner Profile provides tailored curricula based on training needs analysis. As of April 24, 2023, 89% of our 1,782 associates have accessed this learning platform. With the help of the Commercial Capabilities Network, Line Managers, and Unit Heads, we have reached 55% completion of assigned modules. In addition to self-paced learning, the Commercial Academy has also implemented external training programs led by subject matter experts that allow participants to acquire skills at par with industry standards. In March, we trained identified roles in GTM and MT-HOD on Partner Financial Management. This has enabled our learners to utilize practical and highly effective tools in a real-world setting and gain higher capability. We continue to strive to achieve 100% completion of our 2023 learning plan to ensure you, a valued member of CCBPI, have all the tools and opportunities to grow in our company! Supply Chain Academy By: Pauline Kho & JP Gonzaga The Supply Chain Academy spearheaded both internal and external training programs in Q1 of 2023 for the Supply Chain Tigers. For the Logistics Unit, the programs included Basic Occupational Safety & Health (BOSH), Forklift Operation & Maintenance, Forklift Safety Training, and TESDA NCII for drivers. As for our Supply Chain Planning, PISM covered both modules 3 and 4. On the manufacturing end of the supply chain, one technical program for engineering provided free training from internal vendor trainers on several topics. Therehave been other accomplishments as well including the certification of 14 associates as Energy Managers and Auditors, and programs such as Lubrication Auditor Training. The Supply Chain Academy continues to make strides in creating quality SMEs through certifying the ISO 22000 FSMS Lead Auditor, its ISO 17025 Implementation, and Aufitor Course, and lastly, its Food Defense Training. Here in the Supply Chain Academy, we believe our forklift operators and frontliners are one of the most valuable members of the company. From procurement, production, to packaging, you make the bottle’s journey in our customers’ hands possible.

Support Function Academy By: Bea Torres & April Ortega The Support Function Academy had several achievements in this past quarter. The first is the culmination of 1BIG Finance Academy – Strategic Thinking Cohort 1! In this program, 10 Finance Leaders went through comprehensive training on Strategic Thinking with a focus on how they can build and sustain their competitive advantage. That’s not all! 1BIG Legal Ignite Program was also launched and is currently ongoing. So far, the following modules have been completed: Business Acumen and Data Visualization. To top it all off, the Support Function Academy kicked-off MyGrowth, a capability-building program for Support Functions, which aims to equip our talents to have the competencies required of their role and be future-ready. We are piloting this program for the Finance and People teams. Overall, the Functional Academies at CCBPI are focused on providing our associates with the tools and resources they need to succeed. We are committed to creating a culture of continuous learning and development, and we believe that by investing in our associates, we can create a stronger and more capable workforce. As we move forward, we will continue to prioritize the development of our associates and work to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles. Whether it’s through self-paced learning, external training programs, or capability-building initiatives, we are committed to providing our associates with the best possible learning and development opportunities.

Jumpstarting our sustainability efforts with Tapon to Ipon! By: Kamiya Garcia In line with Coca-Cola's global World Without Waste commitment—to collect and recycle every single bottle and can we sell by 2030–Tapon to Ipon: Basta Klaro, Panalo! is Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc.'s collection program for post-consumer clear PET plastic bottles. Through this program, we work with local government units and agencies, private organizations, and MSMEs to collect clear PET plastic bottles from communities. As we target to reach more communities, we execute Tapon to Ipon pop-up during local festivities and special events with high traffic, high impact, and high visibility. Raising awareness on the value of used clear PET plastic bottles and recycling, festival-goers and community members participated in the booths by dropping off clear PET plastic bottles of any brand in exchange for Coca-Cola products. We started the year strong with 7 Tapon to Ipon pop-up booths activated in the first quarter, in partnership with 5 LGUs—Cebu (Sinulog Festival), Iloilo(Dinagyang Festival), Baguio (Panagbenga Festival), Davao del Sur (mall pop-ups at Gaisano Mall, Davao Central Warehouse, and Puregold), and Laguna (Anilag Festival). Davao del Sur Governor Yvonne Cagas joined the launch of the three pop-up booths at the Davao del Sur malls. A significant month for sustainability, we celebrated Earth Day in April with a roadshow of 4 Tapon to Ipon pop-up booths in various strategic areas, kickstarting the second quarter of the year. Highlighting the value of having a common endeavor for a World Without Waste, we were joined by residents, mall-goers, and customers as we executed our Tapon to Ipon pop-up booths at Terra 28th Park and De Jesus Oval in BGC, Farmers Plaza in Araneta City, and HABA Fair located at Sawangan Park in Legazpi City in partnership with LCC Supermarket.

Strong partnerships with LGUs to lead initiatives for a World Without Waste Collective action brings impactful change, and CCBPI is working closely with its partners to lead efforts that will help solve environmental issues stemming from packaging waste. On February, we signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Province of Iloilo and the Municipality of Pavia to begin a long-term partnership for clear PET bottle collection. Iloilo Governor Arthur R. Defensor Jr., Pavia Mayor Laurence Anthony G. Gorriceta, and other officials from the Iloilo Provincial Government and Municipality of Pavia lead the signing with CCBPI. Solidifying its partnership for a fully circular economy, CCBPI and the Iloilo government will commence a large-scale collection of stockpiles of PET bottles in the province. Also underway is the transformation of partner sari-sari stores as collection hubs for post-consumer PET plastic bottles, as well as the launch of an information-dissemination campaign about segregation and recycling. CCBPI was represented by Atty. Marc Cox, Director for Stakeholder Relation; Eddie Dolutan, Commercial Unit Director for West Visayas; Rowena Bulandus, Coca-Cola Iloilo Plant Manager; and Jojo Castillo, Regional Sales Manager for Metro Iloilo. In celebration of Earth Day, CCBPI also signed with the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur, a long-standing partner of CCBPI and a model LGU for World Without Waste. All local government units (LGUs) that comprise the province—namely, Digos City, Bansalan, Hagonoy, Kiblawan, Magsaysay, Malalag, Matanao, Padada, Sta. Cruz, and Sulop— have joined the collection initiative to institute wide-ranging, positive initiatives for a greener future. In attendance were Davao del Sur Governor, Yvonne Cagas, Mayors of the 10 LGUs and their representatives, as well as the City, Provincial, and Municipal Environmental and Natural Resources Offices during the MOA signing activity. CCBPI was represented by Atty. Marc Cox, Director for Stakeholder Relation; Edgar Allan Neri, Commercial Unit Director for Southeast Mindanao; and Amy Mauricio, Coca-Cola Davao 2 Plant Manager.

An Iconic Partnership Between the Duo We Love By: Marvie Santioque In the fourth quarter of 2021, we made waves with the launch of our first alcoholic drink in the country - Lemon-dou. It garnered impressive results and made our mark in the alcoholic beverage segment. But we didn’t want to stop there as we aim to establish a sizable scale and presence in this category. To expand our footprint in this space by introducing our newest superstar – a drink that combines the best of Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola. This April 2023, the much-awaited drink officially hit the market and has been met with buzz and excitement from consumers, as well as outstanding first-month sales. We managed to move the launch to early April, making the Philippines the first market to launch Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola in Asia and nationally. The successful launch is a true testament to the close collaboration - not just cross-functional, but cross-geographic collaboration – of internal teams within CCBPI, local, regional, and global counterparts from The Coca-Cola Company and Brown-Forman, the company behind Jack Daniel’s. We started by getting together last November 2022 with our Alcohol workshop and market visits and trips to our Sta. Rosa Plant. Since then, we have built a long-lasting and effective relationship by having a one-team mindset; overcoming milestones and obstacles together as a group, coming together with one goal. It’s the first time for us to have this kind of collaboration, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for new experiences and learning. And we are excited about what’s in store for Jack & Coke as we continue to work together to deliver amazing results. We got this; we were BORN READY!

A Culture of Continuous Learning By: Pauline Kho As our organization continues its journey to strengthen the capabilities of our associates, the Supply Chain Excellence team collaborated with technical experts from our Engineering and Procurement teams to form stronger relationships with our vendors. The goal was to conduct technical training programs for our frontline leaders and operatives, aimed at identifying technical competencies required for our manufacturing processes. These competencies were identified by our manufacturing experts and EXIM partners and are integral to our training plan execution. The first batch of national technical training, as part of the Trainer Certification Program to sustain our SC academy training needs, was attended by 71 associates and was a resounding success. Participants not only gained technical knowledge but also had the opportunity to discuss plant-specific concerns and queries. Supply Chain Excellence is committed to achieving a continuous learning culture and ensuring that our people's capabilities are aligned with the organizational goals. Our associates are equally passionate about learning and we plan to conduct more training sessions in the future to support this culture.

Creating Leaders for the Future By: Djohanna Capalad In our manufacturing framework, having the right people with the right mindset is essential. As SMART leaders, we must demonstrate a passion for commitment, expectations, and behaviors. To empower our frontline leaders to guide, inspire, and motivate our SMART Tigers, we conducted onboarding-to-leadership sessions for our prospective shift engineers. Our priority is to build their leadership capabilities and foster a culture of empowerment. The sessions were both informative and enjoyable, providing our resilient shift engineers with the opportunity to learn more about the business! Being a shift engineer is not an easy task, but our team has embraced the challenge with a commitment to growth and a willingness to embrace change.

Celebrating Women’s Month: Stories of Success and Growth By: Jenny Yance and Kamiya Garcia Many industries have been making long-term systemic changes to institutionalize an inclusive environment for more women to succeed within and outside their careers. There is still a long way to go toward a fully equitable society—but with more organizations prioritizing inclusive growth and more women in positions of leadership, we are witnessing a ripple effect of meaningful, progressive change across communities. To commemorate Women’s Month, we would like to share stories of success from women in sales—each of them a testament to how creating equal opportunities in the workplace enable the rise of a culture of professional empowerment and personal fulfillment and the many ways we celebrated last March! The women driving the growth of Coca-Cola’s footprint in the PH Riva Evangelista I never imagined how far I would go in my 15-year career with CCBPI, but Regional Sales my fearless attitude and eagerness to learn paved the way for my success. Growing up in Tondo, I was exposed to people from all walks of Manager of Quezon life, and it became second nature for me to absorb wisdom from their experiences. When I was offered the opportunity to work in CCBPI's General Trade team, I hesitated at first. However, I leveraged my knowledge in developing strategies and analyzing numbers to excel in the role. Now, as the Regional Sales Manager for Quezon, I make sure to empower my team, especially the women. In our culture at CCBPI, I have always felt heard, and I strive to instill that same sense of empowerment in my team members. My advice to them is simple: Take more space and speak up. Having been with CCBPI for 25 years, I have witnessed the progressive Shiela Abejero changes the company has made to create an inclusive work environment. Stills Distribution The transition from handling accounts to a front-facing sales role was made easier because of this. Manager As the Stills Distribution Manager, I play a vital role in ensuring that Coca-Cola’s quality water products are readily available to consumers. What I take most pride in is bringing new ideas to the table. When I’m not at work, I can rest easy knowing that I have trained my team members to become decision-makers. Empowering them and nurturing their capabilities is essential, just as CCBPI did with us.

Susette Casanillo Throughout my journey at CCBPI since 2009, I have held various roles that Regional Sales allowed me to learn and improve myself continuously. Starting from learning how to drive, I progressed to marketing, strategizing, and Manager of Negros building strong customer relationships. Provinces Being a solo parent, my family has always been my priority as I pursue a career as an on-ground sales manager. My mother’s strong will and dedication to the family serve as my inspiration. I tackle challenges head-on with grit and enduring patience. I want women to know that they shouldn’t be intimidated by male-dominated fields, especially in organizations that embrace inclusivity. Women are more than capable, and in sales, our innate empathy can help our customers grow their business with us. When I stepped into the role of Stills Distribution Manager covering North May Suba Luzon, I made a commitment to give my all to the job. My work involves Stills Distribution long trips to Ilocos and Cagayan, spending time with my team, supporting and mentoring them every day. As both the breadwinner and a hands-on Manager mother, I strive to strike a healthy balance between my career and family life. Thanks to CCBPI’s culture of inclusivity, I’ve been able to achieve this fulfillment. Like Lala, my role is crucial in accelerating the growth of Coca-Cola’s water portfolio in my area. I take pride in being a good leader to my team and an advisor to other women associates. In a male-dominated industry like ours, I’m proud to be a woman in sales and part of an organization that values workplace equity. My advice to women is to embrace their strengths and experiences. At CCBPI, I’ve realized that the work has no gender; what matters is your commitment to your purpose. Fostering an Inclusive Workplace for Growth As part of our efforts, we organized the long-term policies on empowerment, and via Women KOnnect event called “DigitALL: learning programs for associates’ personal Innovation and Technology for Gender and professional development. My older sister is Cecilia “Baby” Alvarez, an Accounts Payable Team Lead Finance Department, Mendiola Sales Office from 1987-2010. Best part of having relatives working at Coke? Share your memories: Having family at Coke has been amazing. My dad worked there, and we lived close to the plant. I remember visiting him and enjoying free Coke like it was a special treat. Even though we didn’t have much, his job gave us rice and cool Coke goodies. It’s awesome that his old coworkers still remember him and now we’re coworkers too! What inspired you to follow in their footsteps? It’s funny, but I never planned on working in HR or with family. But when my sister retired early, a HR position opened up. It was perfect timing—she left Coke on June 30th, and I started at TRCI on July 1st. No overlap, but it felt like fate guiding me there. How has Coca-Cola impacted your lives? Coke has been a part of me since before I even joined. My mom craved Coke during her pregnancy with me. My dad’s job at Coke made a big difference for our family. All six of us siblings were able to graduate college because of it. Even though I initially pursued a different career, after 20 years, I found myself back at Coke. We’re a true Coke family, and it means more than just a brand or a job—it’s a lifelong connection. Rey Torres Name, Position, and Tenure: I’m Rey F. I still cherish the memories of my dad taking me inside the plant when I was a kid. It felt like a personal tour, where I witnessed the fascinating mass production of Coca-Cola products. It was truly a therapeutic experience. What inspired you to follow in their footsteps? Since childhood, I have been inspired to follow in my dad’s footsteps and work at Coca-Cola. I admired the company’s commitment to its employees and knew that being a part of this organization would be fulfilling. How has Coca-Cola impacted your lives? Coca-Cola has enriched our lives in countless ways. The company’s benefits, including a rice subsidy, HMO coverage, for myself and my dependents, have made our lives easier and better. We are grateful for the support and care CCBPI provides!

Supporting As you may have noticed, we’ve been our Tigers with putting a lot of effort and resources Technology into slowly digitizing our organization, aiming to improve our By: Yum De Guzman and Ralph Montoya efficiency, productivity, and digital experience. Although we still have a long way to go in our goal of freeing up our associates’ day-to-day activities for more meaningful work, here are some of the initiatives we’ve completed or plan to complete for the first half of the year. Syrup App The Syrup App or Concentrates Barcode IQS App is a web-based application under our SMART initiative. It enables our Ko-Create associates to order, prepare, and quality check syrups, a main component of our products, more easily and accurately by digitizing the process. We’ve partnered with InfinityQS, a software company that provides quality management solutions, to optimize our production and quality processes. Their flagship product, Enact, helps us maintain product quality by automating data collection, detecting quality issues, generating reports, and simplifying our current process. This helps us reduce waste, improve efficiency, and increase customer satisfaction. Ko-create is a joint initiative between our Technology and People team to create an internal talent marketplace to upskill and cross-skill our associates. This initiative enables us to form multi-skill teams to work on high-impact process improvement projects. It not only helps our associates broaden their skills and capabilities but also promotes intra-functional collaboration by removing existing silos that hinder knowledge and skill-sharing. We’re excited about the progress we’ve made and the positive impact we know it’ll have on our business but we don’t want to stop here and we’ll keep exploring new opportunities to enhance our efficiency, productivity, and digital experience. Join us on this journey toward growth and innovation!

Building on the Basics By: Terry Vazquez Jr. and Ralph Montoya A strong foundation is key to the success of any digital initiative. By reviewing our foundational infrastructure, we can identify the root cause of issues and provide long-term solutions to enable us to pursue our current and future initiatives more freely. HR Kiosk We understand that not all associates have access to a laptop or desktop, which can make it difficult for them to complete administrative tasks such as filing for leaves and applying for reimbursements. Therefore, we are installing HR Kiosks in our sites to make it easier for associates to access our administrative applications. With these kiosks, associates can freely access MyCoke and Concur without relying on their immediate supervisors. Network Having a strong and stable internet connection is critical to our digitalization efforts. In 2022, we analyzed the network across all our sites and found that slow and intermittent connec- tions were a major issue. Almost all our sites are reaching the maximum internet bandwidth allocation, which is drastically slowing down everyone’s connection. We understand our associates’ concerns and are working on solutions to improve their digital experience. Along with ongoing negotiations with our internet providers to increase internet bandwidth, we are also taking the following initiatives to improve our network: 1. Replacing aging internet hardware that contributes to connection issues. 2. Reconfiguring our internet landscape to prioritize certain applications, such as SAP, and minimize business impact. 3. Installing signal boosters in ten sites that will be activated in the coming months. 4. Creating a heatmap to identify network dead spots in our sites. By building on the basics and focusing on our foundational infrastructure, we can lay a strong foundation for our digital initiatives. We will continue to prioritize our associates’ needs and work towards improving their digital experience.
