A message from our Executive Director 23 THANK YOU for supporting the clients of Keystone Opportunity Center in this difficult year! Everyone at Keystone is committed to continuing to serve our fragile clients throughout this pandemic. To do so, all departments--food, housing and education--have completely changed the way our services are provided. Our food pantry made the massive switch to providing pre-packed, contactless home deliveries at the height of the pandemic, while our no-registration Fresh For All mass food distribution switched to pre-packed boxes delivered to vehicles. Our instructors, trying to help people get better jobs, have had to overcome the challenge of engaging and instructing students online instead of in person. Our housing team has had to provide remote case management with clients, even as people who had never faced homelessness before found themselves in unstable housing. But we are up to the challenge! We've broken records in food delivery since March. We've launched new types of client assistance. We've developed new methods of teaching. Those who can, have supported Keystone in recent months. For that, we thank you. But some of our government funding streams have been cut, and not all our donors are in the same position as they were last year. So, we ask you to be as generous as you can. Whether that's a check or a prayer, we are grateful for anything you can offer. TOGETHER we can do anything! Arlene E. Daily Executive Director 4

E. Richard Aichele III Corporate Partner Award Penn Valley Gas To express honor and respect for E Richard Aichele III, the Executive Director of Keystone Opportunity Center from 2010 to 2017, Keystone Opportunity Center has decided to honor a corporate partner which is making a major difference in the commu- nity through Keystone Opportunity Center. This award—unlike all others awards—is for significant overall support of Keystone’s programs of food, housing and education, enabling the organization to do things in the community that it could not otherwise have done. Penn Valley Gas has been a strong partner of Keystone Opportunity Center for more than a decade. Their continued support over this time has allowed Keystone to help children, adults and families in our shared community. With their support, Keystone Opportunity Center houses the homeless, feeds the hungry and educates adults and families in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Recently, Penn Valley Gas saw the impact that Covid-19 had on our community and wanted to step up. When Covid-19 hit, Penn Valley Gas knew that Keystone’s clients would be impacted. From children out of school, adults out of work and the possibility that families could not pay bills, Penn Valley Gas asked how they could help Keystone’s clients. In addition, with the chance that donations would decrease, Penn Valley Gas helped fill that void. 18 9

Champion of Food 15 KMRD Partners Food insecurity in this region is a challenge that we must meet. Each year, an astounding 25% of the children in the Souderton Area School District are on the free or reduced lunch list. Every year, families struggle with providing food not only during the school year, but during holidays and celebrations as well. KMRD Partners brings their employees together to give back during the holiday season. Instead of gifts for their clients, KMRD Partners purchases more than 500 lbs of ham and donates it to Keystone’s Food Pantry. This food is given to our clients each holiday season so they can enjoy a festive meal at home like any of us. Their donation is part of more than 300,000 lbs of food given out to 800 families throughout the year. When Covid-19 hit, Keystone realized that their commitment to clients could not suffer. Keystone switched to a home delivery service of food, and until recently invited clients back to the Pantry to receive their groceries delivered to their cars in the parking lot. The holidays won’t be the same as years before, but clients will still enjoy a festive meal thanks to the employees at KMRD Partners. 12
