U8 SwiftsSeason Review: U8 SwiftsBoth Jason and myself have been lucky 2017/18 Playersenough to coach an all-round great teamagain this season. Not only are the boys 01 Theo Daveyfantastically spirited (on occasions a little 02 Alexander Humphriestoo much) but our parents have a great 03 Ryan Ghoshsupportive attitude to the game; win, lose or 04 Lenni Howelldraw the swifts are always smiling at the end 05 Christian Bullmanof the game. 06 Jude Howell 07 Isaac FirmingerThis has given a great environment for the 08 Harvey Morganboys to play without the pressure so often 09 Gabriel Robinsseen from the sidelines, which; has allowedthe boys to try new things in a game in the Team Managerconfidence that the team and parents arebehind them. These new things have not Paul Humphriesalways worked but the development in eachplayer throughout the season has been Team Coachincredible. JasonThe beginning of this season we were verystrong and went 8 games without a loss.League shuffle’s seemed to create someupset and the second half of the season westruggled to convert leads into wins. Wehave a great team with some very strongcharacters that I believe will thrive movinginto 7v7 next season. 15Sponsored By

U10 JaguarsSeason Review: U10 JaguarsThe Jaguars this season have really come 2017/18 Playerstogether as a team, physically and mentallythey have all progressed and worked very hard. 01 Alex 02 Billy WrightWith a slow start to the season, the Jaguars 03 Bobby Wilsonfinally found form just before the Christmas 04 Edward Selwoodbreak and we was moved up a division. The 05 Flynn Gwilliamschallenge began at the beginning of 2018 and 06 George Hicksplaying good football teams really boosted our 07 Jack Spencerconfidence as a team. 08 Jamie Beasley 09 Teddy FiskI was impressed with the determination and 10 Theo Lanisquot‘never give up’ attitude the team displayed inevery game even until the last game of the Team Managerseason. Having comments from other team’scoaches about the way the Jaguars pass the Terry Fiskball and work for each other, was mentionedrather a few times throughout the season. U11 LionsSeason Review: U11 LionsIt was a season of transition for the U11 2017/18 PlayersLions, with the merger of two teams and stepup to 9 a-side football with larger pitch & 01 Jay Gardnergoals. But the newly formed team took it all 02 Reed Warnerin their stride and started the season with 03 Jayden Angearconfidence, playing some fantastic football. 04 Sam RefernOnly losing one game in the first half of the 05 Archie Smithseason, their statistics speak for themselves 06 Henry Udall(P11 W9 L1 D1 GD+24). 07 Toby Sadler 08 Teddy GeorgeAfter a break in January to play Futsal, which 09 Oliver Hammondhelped to develop the team fitness and ball 10 Charlie Petersenskills, the League promoted the Lions to a 11 Alfie Wisbeytop division, which unfortunately proved to 12 Louisa Sambellbe a steep learning curve and everyone took 13 Mason Armstronga knock to their confidence, including the 14 Oliver Sumnermanager! However, despite some heavydefeats, the team spirt remained strong and Team Managersevery player continued to give 100%. U12 WarriorsSeason Review: U12 WarriorsThe Warriors enjoyed a challenging but 2017/18 Playersrewarding first competitive season in theSouthend and District Premier Division. 01 Kieran Williams 02 Calum ScottIt’s fair to say due to ridiculous league 03 Nathan Hotstonprocedures and rules, the boys didn’t finish the 04 George Parryleague in the right position but they can be very 05 Lewis Cooperhappy with their progression and next season 06 George Massenhovewhen we go to 11 a side we should be 07 Leo Baldockchallenging for the title. 08 Freddie Patience 09 Tyler ChapmanThe season ended with a return of played 16 10 Callum McSpaddenwon 7 and drew 3 and in truth it should have 11 Daniel Archerbeen even better than that. Every single player 12 Jude Hamiltoncontributed this season, they all played their 13 Tommy Parishpart and should be very proud of their efforts 14 Player Namethroughout. Team ManagerI don’t think the club appreciate how talenteda side The Warriors are, and if they continue Paul Hamiltonto progress and mature in the same way, theyhave the ability to be as successful as they like, Team Coachesthey are all seriously talented footballers. U14 RedsSeason Review: U14 RedsWith the arrival of key players in Matt, 2017/18 PlayersMichael and Owen, the season began withgreat promise, however an opening day 01 Matt Watkin 14 Nathan Prettydefeat proved a rude awakening. U17 WolvesSeason Review: U17 WolvesThe Wolves competed in the Premier 2017/18 PlayersDivision of the Southend League for thefirst-time last season and showed that they 01 Sean Bolt 14 Ben Tilsoncould handle the step up. 02 Branan McMurdie 15 Joshua DaveWe matched every team and played somegreat football which we were complimented 03 Thomas Jorge 16 Leeroy Sandefor by our opposing Managers on a regularbasis. 04 Sean Johnston 17 Liam DaniellsWe also recorded our highest number of 05 Brandon Wilkinsclean sheets in season which is testament toour superb Goal Keeper and defensive line. 06 Daniel O’MahoneyUnfortunately, we didn’t quite get the results 07 Arthur Laverwe deserved and ended up in mid-tablerespectability. 08 Liam KirkhamThere were a number of what ifs to consider. 09 Joe DeBellIf points were awarded for hitting thewoodwork we would probably have 10 Max Daychallenged for the title! The two teams welost to by the odd goal and penalties in the 11 Bradley Marshallcup both progressed to final. 12 Callum NewellThe boys have represented our club in afantastic manner and have been great fun 13 Archie Westall-Rogersalong the way. U12 DolphinsSeason Review: U12 DolphinsThis season has seen the team go on a 2017/18 Playersquite remarkable journey that has resultedin a late charge for a promotion spot and a 01 Lauren Hartspirit and togetherness that is second to no 02 Ruby Heathother team in our league. Our girls have 03 Emily Hartdone themselves and the club proud; they 04 Jenna Holmeshave given their all in every game and 05 Grace Allenalways played with a smile on their faces. 06 Ella Wright 07 Emma BondHaving gone into this season having only 08 Emily Udallever won 2 games we went on a 9 game 09 Daisy Sibleywinning streak and ended the season 10 Olivia WakelingPlayed 18, Won 11, Drew 3 and Lost 4. We 11 Olivia Nortonhad the strongest defence in the league and 12 Sophie Moylangot points off every team, we battled hard 13 Skye Huxenbut fair and received plaudits from other 14 Louisa Sambellmanagers for our style and approach to 15 Isabel Ogdengames. U14 FlamingosSeason Review: U14 FlamingosFirst and foremost a massive congratulations 2017/18 Playersto the girls for completing a very difficultseason. Apart from the odd one they competed 01 Millie Drewin every game against teams that regularly had 02 Stephanie Cornwall3 subs, when only having 11, 10 and 03 Melinda Holmessometimes 9 themselves; so no mean 04 Katie Hopkinsachievement! 05 Sophie Davis 06 KaitlynSo the seasons results really came second to 07 Lois McCutcheontheir positive attitudes and commitment. When 08 Holly Wilkinsyou think that all bar 2 players where playing 09 Cerys Cookup a year in their first 11 aside season, the 10 Leah Farrowjump was quite impressive and something they 11 Jessie Gallowayshould be very proud of. 12 Natasha HerbertPlaying against teams that were physically a Team Manageryear ahead was often there to be seen. I’m notone to single individuals out, as it is a team Paul Cornwallgame, so lose together / win together. Thecouple of wins were hard fought and well Team Coachdeserved, while some of the losses wereextremely unlucky occuring at the back end of Chris Firmingergames when tiredness and fitness wasovertaken by teams with 3 subs staying fresh;but not giving up is a fantastic mind set to have.So lots to be positive about, plenty of smilesduring training and matches just highlight whata great bunch the girls are and should hopefullycontinue to be. 43Sponsored By
