Costs reserved,\" Judge Ferdi Preller said. In August, Malema denied media reports that alleged cigarette smuggler Adriano Mazzotti was helping him pay his tax bill. At the time there were reports that the SARevenue Service (SARS) was investigating the source of his tax debt repayments, but it would not comment at the time. In Februarylast year, Judge Bill Prinsloo ordered that Malema's estate be provisionally sequestrated. In May and again in August, his provisional sequestration was extended and the matter was postponed. Malema previously admittedhe had not attended to his tax affairs the way the law required. According to court papers, Malema owed the SARS R16 million, plusinterest, after failing to submit tax returns between 2006 and 2010. In 2010 the SARS contacted Malema about his failure to submittax returns. It took Malema 18 months, after many attempts by the SARS, to file his outstanding returns. Malema had also failed toregister his Ratanang Family Trust for tax purposes, and the SARS had to do this on his behalf. Ratanang is the name of Malema'syoung son. The SARS attached some of Malema's property, including a farm in Limpopo and a house still under construction inJohannesburg, to recoup some of the taxes he owed. A final sequestration order could affect Malema's political career, as he wouldno longer be allowed to serve as an MP. –source bdlive Vila Kasi News Issue 1 | Page 1 of 8

The BMW M235i Convertible The BMW M235i Convertible – Dynamite comes in small, topless packages! The BMW M235i Convertible is here! Its bold, beautiful and its not for the faint hearted! A 6-cylinder, 240kW, 450Nm beast on wheels, the M235i is the manufacturer’s first open topped BMW performance vehicle and believe me it will raise your adrenaline just by looking at it, never mind venturing anywhere near the electronically measured top speed of 250km/hr. Launched this past week against the picturesque backdrop of the meandering roads and mountain passes of Cape Town, I had the pleasure to putting my dainty heel to the pedal and discovered that the M235i delivers maximum sporty driving enjoyment thanks to the typical Beemer razor sharp M handing. But first things first, let’s talk looks – both exterior and interior. The M235i boasts an aerodynamically optimised body which comes in handy when you discover the 0-100km/h in just 5.0 seconds (eight-speed Steptronic transmission). Other highlights include an aerodynamically styled M style front apron with large air intakesand flaps adapted from racing car design, extend into the area which on the other versions of the BMW 2 Series Convertible isreserved for the fog lamps. The aluminium door sills bear the “M235i” lettering and M Sport brakes. Inside, the M235i seems specially“tuned” for comfort and performance featuring sports seats for the driver and front passenger, an M leather steering wheel withmultifunction buttons, Aluminium Hexagon interior trim with accent strips in matt Estoril Blue or high-gloss black, leather trim for thegearshift lever/selector lever and handbrake lever gaiter, and an M driver’s footrest. The custom instrument cluster features redmarkings and numbers for the speedometer and rev counter. Rounding off the interior specifications of the BMW M235i Convertibleis variable-colour interior lighting and blue detailing for the car key.As for the drive- well what can I say? The M235i’s features and custom chassis components are matched with typical M precisionand the engine performance characteristics confirm what every driver expects from the M badge - a perfect blend of agility and precisecontrol at all times, especially when taking corners a little enthusiastically- if you know what I mean! The four-seater BMW M235i Convertible gives new meaning to the popular name “islahla” and takes open-top driving to exhilaratingnew heights. It comes standard with a six-speed manual gearbox which gives extra-sporty shifting for those who enjoy the dancebetween precise clutch-in, gear shifting shifting and the feeling you get when the car launches forward whilst simultaneously pinningyou into the back rest of your seat. If you’ve ever wondered by BMW drivers are always grinning by themselves, it because of thatexact motion. But enough about the powerful M Performance Twin Turbo Technology, the BMW M235i is surprisingly light on fuelwhich is quite remarkable on fuel. Driving through the numerous mountain passes, with the top down and aircon on, I was takenaback by my rough calculations which equated to approximately 8.0 litres/100.Priced from R643 500 for the 6-speed manual and R663 600 for the eight-speed Sports Automatic Transmission Steptronic, theM235i might not be for everyone’s budget but those who have an appreciation for the finer side of driving probably won’t hesitate toget one – it will set you head and shoulders above everyone else on the road. -by Vuyi MpofuENTERPRENEURSHIP IS THE COMMON DENOMINATOR FORGLOBAL ECONOMIC GROWTH IN THE 21st CENTURY (quoteby Sakhumzi Foundation). Health and Fitness: Get in Shape It is hard not to notice people showing off their toned bodies streaming on social media. Looking healthy and fit has become the “new cool” only because we have now been exposed to it because of the internet says health and fitness instructor Grace Nhlapo of healthy365 in Midrand. “It's seems like it is now “cool” because of social media because we can now share publicly what we do. We've always been walking to school and back, walking to taxi ranks to get to our destinations and played bhati and Mathini back when we were growing up. We are just moving with the health and fitness trends,” said Nhlapo. Nhlapo says that what makes people focus more on their health is because of the chronic deceases that have been taking away people’s loved ones. “Some of the food we consume these days is processed and as a result doesn't have as many nutrients and so it's up to us to advise our loved ones on healthier food and habits,” explained Nhlapo. Fitness Bootcamp is a group training programme designed to help build strength and fitness levels while utilizing a variety of intense group intervals usually for an hour. It is a high intensity interval training programme that burns fat and tones your body at the same time. You don't only lose weight, you also get a beautifully shaped body. This kind of fitness exercise is not only for celebrities and the elite we see in the media. “Male and females between ages of 23 rightup to 40 who are at different fitness levels. We welcome beginners, intermediate and advanced people as well as people of all ages,”said Nhlapo. So popular has Nhlapo’s Bootcamp grown that people from Soweto who work in Midrand drive to catch sessions at 5amin the morning or choose to go the boot camp after work.“They even drive Saturday mornings for the morning class,” exclaimed Nhlapo. However this type of exercise come with its ownchallenges, “Healthy365 is an outdoor boot camp so when it's raining and at winter session we are not able to continue with ouroutdoor workouts,” she said. But that does not deter Nhlapo, “watching my client's journey from the time they start to when theyachieve their health and fitness goal. Getting messages about the fact that they can now fit into clothes they haven't worn in ages.”So what else do people gain from attending Bootcamp exercise?“I provide all my clients with an eating plan that's in line with their fitness goals, I track progress on a weekly basis to ensure we stayon track. Weight loss and maintenance is after all 80% about what you eat and 20% about training so we provide clients with a holisticsolution,” explained Nhlapo. Bootcamps that are run by women tend to attract females more than males. “There is a wrong perceptionthat men are stronger than women and as a result some men don't want to be trained by women. So male instructors tend to attractmen clients than women,” said Nhlapo. The bubbly petite Nhlapo says the two people she looks up to in the fitness industry are Sabelo Bhodoza and celebrity sports andfitness trainer Nonhle Ndala. She grew up in Sebokeng in the Vaal triangle area. “I have always watched people in the industry withadmiration secretly wishing that I would one day be a part of it until 2008. I was at my biggest weight and needless to say I didn't likehow I look. One day I decided to do something about it and so started my journey to weight loss and in time it became a lifestyle,”said Nhlapo. United Kingdom entrepreneur Richard Branson once said, “If you aren’t making a difference in other people’s lives, youshouldn’t be in business- it’s that simple.” Well, that is how Nhlapo started her business. “I assisted a few friends with their weightloss journey and when I realized that I had the gift to help others I launched Healthy365 boot camp,” said Nhlapo. These are the basic reasons Nhlapo says are the reasons why everybody should exercise: Exercise help you stay healthy365 days of the year It keep Illness away It helps you look and feel younger It builds confidence It boosts your energy levels It helps with controlling your weight It helps with sleeping better Exercise is fun ... Yes it isNhlapo says there is something to do even for those people with heath issues. “Stay moving. Walk, run, use skipping rope and evenlight weights to help stay healthy,” she said She says even at home people can also do gardening and cleaning the home as a wayto stay active. There are several Bootcamps is Soweto to get plugged into including the very popular Adventure Boot Camp Sowetoowned by Thabo Kunene. – by Mantombi Makhubele Vila Kasi News Issue 1 | Page 4 of 8

Democracy, fraud disguised as genuine freedomA DEMOCRATIC LEADER IS A DISGUISEDYou are Beyond FailureCAPITALIST. HE MAKES PEOPLE BELIEVE INSOMETHING, THEN USES THEM TOACHIEVE HIS / HER OWN SELFISHINTERESTS AT THEIR EXPENSE.CAPITALISTS ARE EVEN BETTER BECAUSETHEY MAKE THEIR INTERESTS KNOWN. During my student days in the eighties when I Achieving our goals is not always easy. Sometimes was still politically active and a ‘comrade’, I we hit obstacles along the way that, at first glance remember vividly that I actually never asked for seem like failure, we feel we are not achieving our democracy. I didn’t know what it was, neither did goals fast enough. The reality is that, no matter what I know what it meant. I wanted freedom from our life journey is, life does go on around us, and at apartheid! I wanted freedom and I was given times, makes progress seem a little slower. During democracy. Hardly fifteen years later, I am those times the successful person maintains focusrealizing that I am still searching for that freedom. This book is my personal and perseveres in the direction of his goal. We all failquest for my freedom. Somebody please take back this Democracy and give at one thing or another. Not one of us is perfect, some back my Freedom! The Freedom that was so quickly and selfishly taken inevitably we all do experience failure at some pointsaway from me in 1994 when I was just getting used to it! I now know that in our lives.Freedom and Democracy can never be the same. People living in ademocracy are not free and free people do not embrace democracy! Of all However, successful people don’t dwell on thethe systems of government available out there, who choose Democracy for failures they inevitably have; they don’t imagineus? themselves as failures, maybe this or that venture they attempted did fail. When you see yourselfI have titled this book Compromised Democracy: The Not So Successful personally as a failure and you internalize this, youSide Of Our Freedom, while I have no doubt in my mind that our democracy will most certainly lose motivation. If you want to stayhas surely been compromised, I however, have a question that continues to motivated despite failure then do not take failurehaunt me, which is whether is it the ordinary people’s version and definition personally. Failure happens to us all!of democracy and their expectations thereof that has been compromised oris it that our more than ten years experience of democracy has producedexactly what democracy by its basic form and definition should? My olddictionary tells me that ‘democracy is system of government by freely electedrepresentatives of the people’. So whether those freely electedrepresentatives of the people do exactly what the people want or not, isdebatable. The definition itself does not fully oblige or imprison the people’srepresentatives to the people’s exact wishes. One may not be wrong to readinto this definition that the people, by a mere vote, are giving the politiciansabsolute rights to make policies, laws and take decisions on their behalf.–by Lesley Boitumelo wa Chiloane Vila Kasi News Issue 1 | Page 7 of 8
Bafana roast Swazis Substitute Mandla Masango’s 86th-minute goal crowned a convincing 3-1 victory for Bafana Bafana in their friendly international against Swaziland in Mbabane last night. Bafana have now won all five matches involving their neighbours. After a first half shaded by the Swazis, though with neither side creating clear scoring chances, Bafana struck a double blow just after the break. Black Leopards playmaker Siphelele Ntshangase, on for Lehlohonolo Majoro just before halftime, earned the free- kick from which captain on the night Thulani Hlatshwayo headed in Bafana’s 51st-minute opener. A minute later Thulani Serero laid on the pass for Thabo Mnyamane to score Bafana’s second. Swaziland pulled one back in the 65th minute through the Mbabane Swallows playmaker, Felix Badenhorst, who played for Jomo Cosmos from 2009 to 2011.The attacker slotted past Jackson Mabokgwane. Mpumalanga Black Aces’ goalkeeper Mabokgwane had replaced Itumeleng Khuneat the break. Shakes Mashaba had Khune back in a Bafana line-up for the first time in the coach’s tenure. The goalkeeper had notplayed for South Africa since the 3-1 win against Mozambique in the opening match of the African Nations Championship in CapeTown in January last year.Khune missed Bafana’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations’ qualifying campaign under Mashaba after an ankle bone injury was detected inSeptember. Mashaba brought back Ajax Amsterdam attacker Serero. He was dropped from the Afcon squad after missing a trainingcamp. Serero formed part of a frontline that had some firepower and included in-form Orlando Pirates’ striker Majoro and Belgian-based Ayanda Patosi.Debuts were handed to Bloemfontein Celtic right-back Thapelo Morena, Free State Stars centre-back Daniel Cardoso, PolokwaneCity midfielder Cole Alexander and Pretoria University forward Mnyamane. FC Twente midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo played alongsideAlexander in central midfield. Mashaba was facing his old team – Swaziland – the only national team he has coached other thanBafana. Mashaba coached Sihlangu Semnikati from 2008 to 2010.The match was not televised on SABC. SABC head group communications Kaizer Kganyago said the broadcaster could not receivea feed from Swaziland. “We were supposed to get a feed from Swazi TV, but they sent us a message saying they don’t have capacity,”he said yesterday. The SABC will televise the Bafana friendly against Nigeria at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Sunday. It’s theSABC’s last game before its broadcast contract ends. –source timesliveFarewell Thula ‘Senyaka’ Kekana,A legendary musician, kwaito hit-maker, and actor Senyaka ‘Thula‘ Kekana sadlypassed away on Wednesday morning 25 March after spending two weeks at KopanongHospital in Vereeniging, according to The Citizen.
