Applications of Barite Barite is a very important non-metallic mineral raw material and has extensive industrial use. 1. Drilling mud aggression: In the case of high underground pressure, a proportion of mud is needed. Drilling mud requires more than 4.2 for barite, the content of BASO4 is not less than 95%, and the soluble salt class is less than 1%. 2. Zinc barium white pigment: zinc barium white pigment is a commonly used high-quality white pigment, which can be used as raw materials for paint and paint pigments. Heat the sulfate, use the reducing agent to restore it into sulfide, and then reflect the mixture of sulfate and zinc sulfide to react with zinc sulfate. The heavy crystal of the zinc cymbal white requires a barite content greater than 95%. 3. Various pillar compounds: Taking barite as raw materials can be used to create chemical raw materials such as oxidation, carbonate, chloride, nitrate, precipitated sulfuric acid, hydroxide, and other chemical raw materials. 4. Filler industry: In the paint industry, barite powder filling can increase the thickness, strength, and durability of the paint film. The zinc-white pigment is also used to make white paint, and it has more advantages in indoor use of lead white and magnesium white. The paint industry's heavy crystal requires sufficient fineness and high whiteness. The papermaking industry, rubber, and plastic industries also use barite as fillers. This filler can improve the hardness, abrasion resistance, and aging resistance of rubber and plastic. 5. Mineralizers for the cement industry: Adding an appropriate amount of barite to the cement raw material with coal vermiculite as the raw material can make the intensity of cement with a low saturation ratio, especially the early intensity, which is greatly improved. 6. Anti-ray cement, mortar, and concrete: The use of barite has the performance of absorbing X-rays and uses barite to be made of cymbal cement, heavy crystal mortar, and heavy crystal concrete to replace metal lead plate shielding nuclear reactors, and construction scientific research, hospital anti-X-ray buildings.
7. Road construction: Rubber and asphalt mixture containing about 10%of barite have been successfully used in the parking lot, which is a durable paving material. At present, the tires of heavy road construction equipment have been partially filled with heavy spar to increase the weight, which is conducive to the consolidation of the filling area.
