President’s Message Dear Jags, Congratulations on finishing the Singapore and Dubai legs of the BBA program! You are now half way into the program. We hope that you have enjoyed the program so far and are well on your way to become future global business leaders. Both Dubai and Singapore are commercial capitals and successful cities but we hope that you have learnt how different they are in so many ways. You will now spend 2 years in beautiful Sydney and there you will learn yet another region of the world that culturally is like Europe. I have little doubt that you will love Sydney. For those wo are looking to earn some extra pocket money part time work is rewarded at a handsome A$20/hour!Mr. Jain Though I hope that you get some rest and recharge your batteries I very much hope that you take up an internship preferably in Dubai. This group was a pleasant blended array of students that encompassed the embodied international feel within SP Jain’s “Global” learning prospective. Over four continents represented in class, was for me a pleasant and global academic challenge. My fondest recollection, was how we engaged as a team; with course decision making on the coverage of a daily syllabus. As professors we witness talents come and go, however, I saw students of exceptional ability and of unrivalled character within the classes…we all know who these are and were… Personally, I would like to pay tribute to the students for their patience amidst my own health issues experienced both in Organizational Behaviour and part of the Sociology & Business courses. They displayed both maturity and diligence to complete these respective courses. These aforementioned traits will bode well for their respective future goals and intended aspirations. I am so, so proud of most of you students. I feel badly because so much of our time in class is spent trying to discipline the minority of the students in your class who have no interest in learning. You end up seeing the ogre side of me instead of the caring, nurturing person that my friends know. It really is unfair, not just to me, but to the vast majority of you students who are serious about your education. Let me address those students now. What you have accomplished in two short courses with me is nothing short of miraculous. I believe you have a better foundation in accounting and finance than many of my graduate students. Heck, I would go so far as to say, you can solve real-world valuation problems better than 90% of the research analysts I know on Wall Street.
