EVALUATIONSWhile at Tim Hortons University, we will ask you to complete several evaluations. These evaluations are related to course/location/facilitator, as well as your learningprogress.During your entire time at Tim Hortons University, please allow time and be preparedto answer questions such as “How confident are you in your capability to effectivelyapply the knowledge or skills on the job?” ACTION PLANDuring each course, you will be given opportunity to identifykey learnings that you’d like to take action on when you areback at your restaurant. To support this, we have developed anelectronic action plan feature that is accessible via TAPP. TAPP MOBILE APPLICATIONSAs our business grows, demand for management time increases. It is becomingmore and more important that the leaders of our business be equipped with theproper tools and resources to effectively run a shift, complete all management tasksand lead their Team Members. Technology plays a tremendous role in the evolutionof a Restaurant Manager. Using tools like tablet devices, allows for increasedmobility throughout the Restaurant.Benefits  Paperless – TAPP was engineered with the intent of removing all current paper logs at the Restaurant. Because we are no longer limited to a static document, all logs were re- imagined to capture maximum efficiency based on the task being accomplished. Electronic Signature – Because eachRestaurant Owner/Manager/TeamMember/Operations user has a unique ID andpassword, we are able to identify exactly whoWelcome Package Page 14 26 November 2013

is using each log and can conform to the legal requirements.  Date/time stamp – Not only can the system record a date and time stamp for every action, but it can display/hide tasks based on the current date and time. i.e. If the time is 10:15am, the 9:00am Time & Temperature log is no longer available and cannot be dry-lab.  “Cloud”-based storage – All data that is entered into TAPP is actually stored on AF Reporting. This means that the data is always accessible and available from any computer or tablet with an internet connection.  Offline capability – Occasionally, technical issues happen in our Restaurants. Whether these issues are planned (AF Reporting is undergoing scheduled maintenance) or un-planned (internet in your Restaurant is down), TAPP has been developed to accommodate these issues. Using HTML5 technology these apps will continue to operate if an outage occurs during a key moment such as a Manager Walk-thru (I.e. reviewing the Garbage enclosure) - Indicates the app is syncing with the server - Indicates the app is ready for completion LEARNING CENTREThe Learning Centre is a fully online training tool that houses training titles gearedtowards Restaurant Team Members and Restaurant management. This tool will beused extensively while you are at TIMS-U to view Training titles, complete courseevaluations and other information.Learning Centre Features:• Content is always up-to-date A Home Page displaying current Operations & Marketing information Pause/Rewind/Closed Captioning functionality Advanced reporting capability A resource library that contains information on equipment maintenanceUsing the Learning CentreBecause the Learning Centre program streams video content to the end-user, it isimportant that you use the program while at a location with internet that is fairlystable and has a high-speed connection.  Low bandwidth – This will display content at the highest resolution in a smaller video window. (If the videos are loading slowly, you can opt to choose the method by clicking the button on the bottom left of the splash page)  No bandwidth – The program will not allow you to login and will not display any content. To Login to the Learning Centre:1.
