F C U Srom the hair / it die toel I can say on behalf of everyone that 2020 must come to a speedy end! What a year this has been and I trust you and your loved ones have come through as unscathed as possible. Stappie and Natalie have kept the office going as normal as possible and the last few months has been a busy time. A few changes have had to be made to curb expenses and the Pelea will be a shorted digital version. SECSICOM: This forum has continued to do their work and have held several Zoom meetings. There are many issues that need constant work to make the industry run a smoothly and efficiently as possible. The wildlife sector in the Eastern Cape as in the rest of the country has had a difficult year to deal with. The auctions have been under pressure with the drought and weak economy. There has never been a better time to invest as good quality animals are reasonably prices with some cases of breeding stock being well below the hunting value. Ons sien uit na die terug keer aan internasionale jagters om die wild lewe industrie weer ‘n hupstoot te gee. Many thanks to those that have paid their yearly membership fees and urge all to do so. This is the main income source for ECGMA and with the funds the office cannot provide the service you have become accustomed to. Our member support ins also crucial to keep everyone lawfully armed and have the freedom to hunt. Thank you to Stappie and Natalie for your continued dedication to the ECGMA as well as my fellow Exco members. You all contribute to making the ECGMA a successful organization that and we can be justly proud of! In closing, I wish all our members and friends a Blessed Christmas and hope that 2021 holds all that you wish for. Stay safe! Neil Dodds ECGMA Chairman / OKWBG Voorsitter 3

CHAIRMANS Hallo to all our loyal members. REPORT To say that it has been a challenging year, would be a massive understatement. 2020 has certainly left it's mark on all of us, from losing family and friends to this horrific pandemic, to incredible restrictions on movement and social activities. All across the spectrum, the economy took a massive knock and recovery will takes years and for some, sadly, never. Algoa Hunt club had a good start to the year, but we were sadly stopped in our tracks (much like the effect of a 505 Gibbs on a frontal shot on buffalo). We had to cancel our club evenings and our social events calender went up in smoke. We had to put the safety of our members first and tough decisions unfortunately had to be made. We had a flicker of hope when the numbers went down and we had one club evening - but sadly the second wave hit us and the effect on human casualties were tremendous. Once again we had to step in and decided to keep everyone safe and not risk putting members in danger. I do know that quite a few of our members managed a fair hunting season, but unfortunately not all were so blessed. My advice is to just 'reload' and face 2021 head on! I want to thank my EXCO for their help during these tough times and our members for their understanding and loyal support. To all who paid their subs during a difficult year - I salute you. It certainly has not been easy for anyone. I want to wish all a blessed and safe festive season. Travel safely and be vigilant. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone that has lost love ones or friends. We hope and pray that 2021 will be a good year for all! Cornel Coetzee CHAIRMAN Congratulations to Carl Stoltsz and Jesse Jones for making the Eastern Province Clay Target team! 6

Just when I was starting to give up due to exhaustion, we spotted an old springbok ram that was grazing on his own and I managed to take him down at about 8am. I then had to have blood applied on my face, eat a piece of raw liver and finally carry the buck to the road where we were picked up by a bakkie. -Lwando Rasmeni Caliber: .243 Rifle: Winchester Area: Tarkastad 11
