EULOGY FOR THE LATE BETTY FRANCISCA AKINYI BIRTH Betty Francisca Akinyi was born on 4th January 1971. She was the 3rd child of Mr. James Obara and Mrs Frida Obara. Betty was the doting mother to Ian Obara. She was the loving sister to Lucy Achieng, Carydawn Anyango, Duncan Otieno, Racheal Adhiambo and Jahmellah Okwaro. She was the half-sister to Fredrick, Vivian, Racheal, Diana, Leone and Larry and step-sister to Sheikh. She was dearest aunt to Eric,John,Elizabeth,Eugene,Elsa,Sonia and Eddy. She was cousin to Pamela Arika, Judy,Dominic Otieno, Florence,Naftali, Mercy, Grace,Roselyn,Caleb and many more. She was sister-in law to the Amara's and Owino's family. EDUCATION Betty started her early primary education at Langata West Primary School. She completed her O levels at Migingo Girl's High School in Kisumu. She later joined La'bella School of Hairdressing. She then proceeded and then got into self-employment. She put up a salon in nairobi west and went on to be a sturdy business owner. SICKNESS Betty met her untimely death on the early morning of 4th April 2019. She had been unwell between the last week of March and 1st week of April. We made plans on 3rd April to go to the hospital the following day but she woke up having breathing difficulties. We quickly rushed her to the hospital but unfortunately she passed on as the doctors were trying to save her life.. We thank God for the time she gave us to be with her and we'll cherish the years He gave her to us. Betty you always meant so very much and always will. The fact that you are no longer here will always cause us pain but you are forever in our heart until we meet again.

Truly, a beautiful flower has indeed been plucked from our midst but good thing, her scent still lives. Betty loved life. She would hold a get together over Christmas, or decide to throw a party or get you to go dancing with her. She made moments to be memorable and so much fun. Her sense of humour was just great, you never got bored when you were around her. She took things easy and looked at life's matters from a very bright perspective.
