About Us Urbanberry Recruitment Ltd is owned and ran by ourselves, Directors, Emma Gregory and Caroline Wakil. A partnership that began in 2011 whilst working for the same recruitment company, we had a tried and tested relationship for many years, working seamlessly to place the right people with the right company. A change in lifestyle for us both meant in 2017, Urbanberry Recruitment was launched with a desire to do recruitment our way. With a strong focus on both candidate and client satisfaction, our reputation in recruiting exceptional talent in an ethical, considerate and personable way ensured our immediate success as a small business. Our strengths lie within recruiting for the Travel Industry and the many sectors that overlap in to this fascinating industry. We’re extremely proud of our database of candidates, they range in experience and job history which is what makes them so diverse and transferrable. Whether they are looking for a new role in Travel or in alternative sectors where their skills would be desirable, we introduce our clients to the people we know will fill their business need.

Why use Urbanberry? It’s tempting to try to recruit yourself, we understand that. But recruitment is a profession for a reason and by choosing our specialised recruitment service, you’ll find that our fee’s are insignificant compared to the long term gains from the right hire. With no faceless recruitment processes, you’ll know us inside out via phone and video chats, meetings and our social media pages. We believe in order for you to trust and work with a recruitment partner you need to know they are aligned with your values and we demonstrate ours constantly for all to see. Minimise your risk of employing the wrong person: By using us to help you source a new hire, you’re utilising our inside knowledge in to that person, their attributes, hard and soft skills, their previous employers and often, their real reasons for leaving other positions. Time saving: Market conditions dictate any recruitment campaign. Too few candidates and you’ll spend months trying to find “the one”. Too many candidates and you’ll be overwhelmed. It is extremely time consuming to even read applications without the additional time spent when unsuitable candidates constantly contact you.

Protected brand representation: No feedback on applications results in candidates feeling aggrieved and isn’t a good representation of your company. We will take that away from you, we sort, filter and select only the people who are right for your company. We handle feedback for those who aren’t successful in a diplomatic and tactful manner, making sure you are always seen in the best possible light, ensuring your reputation remains as it should. Cost saving for you in the long term: Our fee is based upon the work required to source, engage with and actively qualify candidates consistently at all stages of the application process. A job advert simply isn’t enough to attract the right people. Adverts are plentiful and there is no guarantee the right person will see yours. We run campaigns across a variety of media to help attract people as well as using our professional network for active headhunting and recommendations. We ensure those presented to you match your requirements, there is no benefit to us in providing you with numerous inadequate CV’s. Hiring the wrong person is costly from a training, induction and time investment perspective.

We’ll take the time to understand you: Your culture, your working environment, the team, the people, the vision for your company. We’ll come and visit you, learn about you and your business to enable us to not only provide valuable information for interested candidates but also to KNOW who’s going to be the right fit. A CV is a fantastic insight in to a candidates work history- but doesn’t predict their work future. We get to know our candidates on a personal level, understand their driving factors, career aspirations and ambitions. This information is shared with you openly and honestly so you can make the right hiring decisions.

Initial interviews: Each and every candidate we represent has been skill checked and telephone interviewed by us both initially on first contact and again when discussing suitability for a role based on the specific client requirements. We’ll also video interview or meet face to face if we feel it’s essential to the role and can include a video snapshot of the candidate when they are submitted to you. Expectations from candidates: We set high standards when it comes to the relationships with our candidates and expect regular communication and transparency as a minimum. Any deviation or failure to deliver on those points, we’d remove from an interview process in place if we felt it was necessary. Personalised overview of every submission to your role. We never register candidates and bulk send their CV to a number of clients. You’ll receive our analysis of the candidate when you are presented with their CV including our findings on their skill set, their experience, salary requirements, notice period and any supporting information we think you need to know. Recruitment is a person centred, relationship focused and confidential process. We deliver on all of these points and more. We celebrate the fact we are a different kind of recruitment agency who places no value on quantity of CV’s sent to our clients.
