From: Grandpa To: Cat Hi Cat! How are you and your mum? How are Feather, Dash and Rocky? Did you have fun on your camping trip last weekend? I went on a day trip with Nancy last Saturday. She drove her old motorbike and I was in the side car. We went to West Beach to watch the windsurfing competition. It was great. The weather has been really windy here for two days, so Uncle Leo hasn’t been able to fly his helicopter. Luckily nobody has needed the air ambulance. He’s had a lot to do, though, because Aunt Betty has three important exams next week so she’s studying all the time. I’m so proud of her – going to university when you’re a mum isn’t easy! It’s good that she can rely on Uncle Leo. I know you admire her, too – she’s going to be a wonderful doctor! Anyway, as I said, Uncle Leo’s had a lot to do with the housework, cooking and looking after the twins. Lately he’s been really busy because he’s painting their house as well. He’s painted the wall outside – bright yellow! Inside, he’s only done the kitchen and the bathroom so far. He hasn’t started the living room or the bedrooms. Your cousins are helping, of course, but they keep arguing about what colour to paint their bedroom, which is annoying Uncle Leo! Tina wants pink and Georgina wants black! We’re all looking forward to your visit next month. Tina and Georgina love hanging out with you at the beach and Uncle Leo’s really fond of your mum – he keeps saying that she’s the best sister in the world! Maybe he wants some help with the painting! Write back soon and tell me all about school! Lots of love, Grandpa PS I hope you like the photo! Nancy took it. 5
