LONE STAR invitationalMEET THE JUDGES ALEX HALL Alex Hall is a freelance choreographer, singer & songwriter based in Los Ange- les. He is a proud alumnus of DeKalb \"Classic Connection\" show choir in Indi- ana. He choreographs several award- winning show choirs from all corners of the country, and in 2013 was the recipi- ent of the FAME Aspire Award for Best New Choreographer. As an original artist, Alex has performed with several national acts including Tyler Hilton, Anna Nalick, and Aaron Carter. He has been a featured vocalist at Six Flags Chicago, New Orle- ans and New Jersey, and has performed as a guest artist with the Chicago Chil- dren's Choir. Alex co-hosts the online show choir talk show, \"Show Choir Live,\" on Sunday nights throughout competi- tion season. ASHLEY KIMBROUGH Ashley Kimbrough is a freelance choreogra-pher based in Texas. Ashley works with over20 schools across the state from show choirsand musicals, to dance troops, and more. She is proud to be an alumnus of Keller Central High School and Voices of Central Show Choir and credits them both for the begin- ning of her love for the performing arts. She is excited to see what next is coming her way in the upcoming years and wishes eve- ryone a great show!
LONE STAR invitational MEET THE JUDGES DERRICK BROOKINS - MICHAEL McCLURE Michael McClure is a native Texan, but is now a resident of New York City. He received his B.F.A. in Musical Theater from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas where he was in- volved in many productions including Nine (Guido), Rent (Mark), and The Secret Garden (Dickon). After college, Michael traveledthe country in the first national tour of Ghost The Musical as well as working the past two holiday seasons as the swing and assis-tant dance captain on the national tour of A Christmas Story. Hisregional theater credits include Clyde in Bonnie & Clyde, Hollis in Road Show (American Regional Premiere), and Solomon in Speech & Debate (Regional Premiere). LONE STAR invitationalMEET THE JUDGES & MASTER OF CEREMONIES CHRYSTLE HICKS | mezzo-soprano - - MASTER OF CEREMONIES SCOTT GOODWIN Scott Goodwin is currently one of the assistant principals at Central High School and a longtimesupporter of both Voices of Central and Voltage. In his youth, when he could move and had hair, he was a member of the New Score show choir groupat Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia Missouri in 1982 (a long time ago). He was also a member of the State Fair Community College show choir form1982-84 and a member of the New Franklin Singersat Truman State University from 1984-86. Scott has a wonderful family with his wife of 26 years, Caroline and daughters Shelby and Mallory. Good luck to all the participants in the Lone Star Invitational. Founded in August of 2014, Flight was uniquely established as Wichi-ta’s 1st competitive showchoir with the purpose of giving teens throughout the Wichita area Ripple in the Wateran opportunity to participate in the competitive choral circuit in a way that wasn’t offered in Dark Side (Julia Tarbox & Sydney Logan)school. Directed by Kristina Sims and Doris Prater and choreographed by Erik Hall and Kris-tina Sims, Flight is comprised of 43 singer/dancers from 15 area schools throughout the Anyway (Tatum Nevins)greater Wichita area. Members of Flight meet once weekly while staying active and involved Brand New You/Wrapped Up (Hope Reasoner, Ai-at their respective schools as well as in the Wichita community. Flight students enjoy workingwith guest clinicians, long road trips, and bonding over donuts.
