9LSI 2017 Meet The Judges JEREMY STEVENS PHILLIP GLENN Jeremy grew up in Springdale, AR and attended Spring- dale High School in Springdale, AR. 10LSI 2017 Meet The Judges ADAM C. ZRUST KRISTINA SIMSAdam C. Zrust, a Nebraska native, is an active choral clini-cian and adjudicator, with engagements most recently inGeorgia, Nebraska, Texas, Florida, and Colorado. Prior to2014, Adam was the Director of Choirs at Mansfield LegacyHigh School in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metro area. While inTexas, choirs under his direction were consistent recipients ofUIL Sweepstakes awards and have been recognized as “Bestin Class” at state and regional performance festivals. In addi-tion to his teaching responsibilities, he also served on the exec-utive board for the Texas Music Educators Region V VocalDivision. Adam holds a Master of Music Education fromFlorida State University and Bachelor of Arts in Music Edu-cation and Bachelor of Science in Music Business from theUniversity of Nebraska-Kearney. They have since been 1st runner up at Westside COE in Omaha, Nebraska, 13th in the nation atFAME 2013, and 5th runner-up at Wheaton Warrenville Show Choir Competition in Chicago. Last year they were Grand Championsat the Eaton and North Texas Invitational com-petitions. VOC will compete on April 1st atHeart of America’s Nashville competition. The Heart of Love you give is what starts the make-up Cole. Watching you from the time you became involved in Scouting to your highest Honor of Eagle and now Chapter Chief of The OA. You have always reached high and attained every goal. What an accomplishment and what an example to Scouts following you. Saying you are a Leader just doesn’t yet sum up what Cole is. When you were asked to be part of the inaugural Show Choir at Hillwood, this was not only a major step for the school but a big pat on the back for you and the group of students entrusted with this task. Just look at the Harmonics now and you were part of that. Does Giving describe you? No, that again is only part of who you are You lead in the youth group at church and never ask why, your response is always a resounding “Yes, when do I need to be there?” Your talents amaze me every day. “I think I will play” guitar, the piano, the ukulele, and the list goes on. If you choose to, you do. Would Gifted summarize Cole? Yes, but still only part. To say we are PROUD, oh my word, that is the most understated thing that can be said. YOU son are a rock I can lean on and depend on in some of my most difficult times and to your mom you are and will always be her baby boy. Your friends look to you for direction and you son, are wise beyond your years.
