QUALIFIER INFORMATION - PLEASE READ IN FULLEquifest: All entrants must bring their own qualification card, this can be downloaded from the equifest website. This has to be signed in the ring by the judge at the time of the class. “This Show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 8th – 12th August 2018. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify.”TSR: TSR Showing Finals - This show is a qualifier for the 2018 TSR Regional Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals! TSR Riders Finals - 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR In Hand Finals - The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward, cards are available FREE from the TSR website. To be led by an attendant and shown in a Snaffle Bridle, the lead rein to be attached to the noseband only.33. Riders any age Classes may be divided as follows: • Open Lightweight Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms. • Open Heavyweight Ridden Cob, mare or gelding, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 155cms.43. Open Show Hunter Type Equifest Qualifier EQUIFEST INTERMEDIATE SHOW HUNTER TYPE Open Intermediate Show Hunter Type, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over, exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 158cms. Riders not to have attained their 25th birthday before 1st January in the current year.44. Foreign Breeds: Pure breeds only - Passport may be required: Fjords, Haflinger, Friesian, Arab, Andalusian, Quarter Horse, Saddlebred, Peruvian, and Lipizzaner. NO Warmbloods, spotted or Irish Draught.45 Open Concours d'Elégance : Walk and Trot onlyRidden Notes:Unless specified NO LEAD REIN competitors in ridden showing classes1. Classes 30 & 32 to be ridden in a simple snaffle bridle with the lead rein attached to the noseband only.2. Classes 32,33,34,35,36, 37 & 38 to be shown in natural state.3. * Height Certificate may be required.4. All ridden/Inhand competitors to be 4 years old and over as of 1st January 20185. Class 27 has been introduced for riders with a disability and as such are not eligible to enter any other classes unless specified. ****Ridden Championship: 1st place competitors only**** Supreme Championship on completion of all rings

RVRC RULES 20181. The judge’s decision is final on all matters. NO judge should be approached under any circumstances and all objections must be handed to the secretary along with a fee of £25.00 per person objecting within 15 minutes of the incident occurring. This is refundable if the committee upholds the complaint. Points will be taken off members if judges are confronted with complaints direct.2. Riding hats bearing EN1384 or BSEN1384 will no longer be acceptable from January 2016, However the hats would be acceptable if they carry EN1384 or BSEN1384 and another standard such as the following: PAS 015 (1998 OR 2011), VG1 01.040 (2014-12), ASTM F1163 (2004a or 04a onwards), SNELL E2001 OR AS/NZS 3838 (2006 onwards) Hats with a 3 point fastening must be worn in young handler classes, and at all times when mounted with chin straps securely fastened. Correct riding habit is expected in all classes except gymkhana classes where long sleeved shirts may be worn instead of a riding jacket. Saddles must be worn in all ridden classes.3. Only regulation crops not exceeding 30” will be allowed. Spurs are forbidden on the showground.4. Points will be awarded as follows: 1st -8, 2nd – 6, 3rd – 4, 4th – 2, plus 2 attendance points. Points will only be counted when membership is paid in full, they will not be given to day members. Full members must enter the class for at least 3 points shows for the points to count. To qualify for points, the horse/pony & rider/handler MUST be entered under the same name in each show, only the same combinations will be counted. The onus is on the member to ensure that the correct entries are made. Do not rely on the secretary.5. Parents who show their child’s pony inhand must become a member to qualify for points. Those leading in all Leadrein classes must also be members for the pony and child combination to be eligible for points.6. Where age is specified, this is to be read as the age on the 1st January of the current year.7. If a competitor is entered into a Leadrein class, they cannot enter any other class off the Leadrein. Except class 5.8. Leadrein classes are to be ridden in a simple snaffle bridle with the Leadrein attached to the noseband only, the use of a lead rein with a chain or coupling is prohibited. Where ‘Simple snaffle’ is stated no ‘wilkie’ style bit is permitted.9. Horses/Ponies under 4 years old must not be ridden on the showground.10.To be eligible to compete in any ‘novice’ class, the horse/pony and rider combination must not have won a first rosette in any other class of its type i.e. Working Hunter/Equitation etc. at RVRC in a previous season. Combinations which enter this class are NOT eligible to enter any other class of its type. Please note the novice rule also applies to class 5.11.It is the responsibility of the competitor to be present at the appropriate ring for the commencement of the class, or, report a delay to the judge. The committee/judge holds the right to refuse latecomers entrance to the ring. Entry fees will not be refunded if judging has taken place.12.Entries will not be accepted once the secretaries’ entry sheet has left the hut to be passed to either the judge or steward, unless in extreme circumstances and at the discretion of the committee.13.Stallions may compete providing they are wearing a bit and the handler is 16 years and over, and, (in the opinion of the judge and committee) is fully competent of controlling the animal. Leaders in the Youngstock class must also be competent and controlling the animal or may be asked to leave the ring/showground.14.The committee has the right to refuse entry and change the schedule if deemed necessary.15.Horses/ponies may only be walked and trotted in public places i.e. Vehicle parking area.16.Any animal deemed to be a danger to other competitors WILL be asked to leave the showground.17.Known kickers must wear a red tail ribbon.18.The committee does not accept any liability for loss or damage to persons, property or animals however caused at the clubs events.19.For insurance purposes, all trophies must be collected by the winners at the Presentation Dance or from the Annual General Meeting.20.The committee have the right to ask for proof of age or relation if deemed necessary.21.No alcohol to be consumed on the showground.22.The committee/judge has the right to ask to see a height certificate where deemed necessary.23.Any verbal abuse towards ANY committee member, RVRC volunteer, steward or judge will be asked to leave the showground with immediate effect. Membership may also be revoked.24.All ridden/inhand competitors must be 4 years and over as of the 1st January 2018. Excluding the Novelty class.25.Please put all litter in the bins provided or take it home.26.Competitors entering the disability class cannot enter any other class unless stated in the ‘notes’ section of each ring.
