TGRIPAST/UITIES Some of Trailborn’s teammates are tipped by customers as part of their compensation. Tipped teammates are required by law to report all tipped earnings. Reported tip earnings are measured against specific rates of compliance agreed to by the IRS on an annual basis. For information about those rates, I may speak with my manager or contact the Department of People & Culture. Tips or gratuities are voluntarily offered by guests as an indication of their satisfaction with my service. Any abuse of the tipping policy, including solicitation of tips orcommenting about tips in the presence of guests, are serious violations of Trailborn’s policy and could result in significant disciplinary action. Sometimes tipped teammates will participate in tip pooling 1 arrangements in order to share tips equitably with other tip- eligible members of the service staff. Managers may assist in implementing the tip pool and distributing each service teammate’s share, but may not withhold any portion of the tip amounts. Tips/Gratuities
2 Tips/Gratuities Tips and gratuities belong to Trailborn’s tipped teammates – Trailborn’s managers will never take a share of tips. If anyone attempts to take a portion of my tips except in conjunction with distributing tips via a lawful tip pool, I should report the matter to a representative of the Department of People & Culture immediately.
