NO ESCAPE FOR BAD BEHAVIOR This is a timeline of persons who have been fired, resigned, or the like due to allegations of sexual harassment, assault, or misconduct. In 2006, Tarana Burke founded the me too. movement to help survivors of sexual violence, particularly young women of color from low wealth communities, find pathways to healing. In October 2017, the New York Times ran a story on allegations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein. Dozens of women have since spoken out against Weinstein. Emboldened and impassioned, other women began speaking out against their harassers on social media using #metoo. This hashtag quickly became a means of solidarity and a signal of a public reckoning, the effects of which are still playing out.
