Welcome to the Change Issue Why the Change Issue? Because the Bible calls us not to conform but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. I believe that many of us give up just when there is only one more step needed, one more pull, one more phone call or one more try... just when we are one step away from the door of the very thing we have been Praying for, we say 'ahggg...it is too late', 'I tried too many times', 'I have given my all' or 'IT IS NOT FOR ME'. I am led to believe that because of giving up too soon, have forfeited our destiny, breakthrough, success, freedom or harvest because we could not hold on for just one more minute, knock one more time, try once more, or turn the other cheek for the 800 time. We know that anything valuable is hardly served on a silver platter and if it is, Chief Editor and Publisher the server did not acquire it easily. Consider the life and journey of Joseph to [email protected] becoming second in command, Moses to freeing the Israelites from Egypt, Mary arisemagz.com the pregnant Virgin who watched her child suffer for our sake. The plenty @arisemagazineint examples and lessons in the Bible- have led me to ask: 'when will we learn and change our attitude of giving up just because we think it is time to give up...without consulting with the Most High? or applying Wisdom and Discernment? Instead, we allow situations to continue as though they are healthy or good for us. Remember John 21:6 when Jesus said 'cast your net on the other side'? He was saying change your strategy. I have collaborated with special leaders on topics of loss, fathers' love, parenting, business, overall growth and the vast issues affecting important areas of our lives. This is so that the decision to make the change does not feel forced, far fetched but deeply considered and internalised. Remember, the letter to the Romans calls us to seek to be transformed, and not to conform to the ways of the world. We do differently when the world keeps to the norm. Hetty The Entrepreneur - our cover girl - shares her journey of change to become the SA's No1 Monetisation Guru. This Change Issue is to remind and empower us to be willing and prepared to transform and change. Jesus said a few times in the Bible, \"Go and sin no more\". He is telling us to change our ways for the better, aim to do better, especially because to live and not sin is impossible. Kholo's advise, pg36, on the steps we can take to achieve the change we want will help us. My Prayer is for you to be inspired, encouraged and know that with God, change for the better is possible FOR NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH HIM.

Fathers are for Good Change Father's Day is to honour and appreciate our fathers, Pastor Karien Jafta: Lady K Wellness and it is also an opportunity to reflect on the ultimate www.ladykwellness.com Father who is God. He is the God that is nothing but love, provision, protection and more. On this Father's Day, Our earth fathers must take God’s lead on loving, may we honour providing and protecting His children. Yes, they will God the Father, never be as perfect as God, but we all know that Joseph the Carpenter and where our effort and ability end is where and when Jesus the Son. God’s power, strength and Grace activate and take over. I wonder if there has ever been a season such as the one we are living in - there are more and more children without fathers or father figures. The fathers are alive but fail to be actively involved in the children's lives, in creating and building homes. It is a sad and heartbreaking reality. Jesus is the Son of God, the same God we all call Our Heavenly Father. Jesus is also referred to as the carpenter's son. He was a son of a man who was in the profession of building and creating. Jesus' life, and the result of His relationship with both God the Father and Joseph the carpenter, portray the importance of the role of fathers and the legacies they are expected to create and build - not only through honouring their children but most importantly, in honouring the role and responsibility God the Father has bestowed them. Could it be that God planned for Joseph to be a carpenter so that his position of being Jesus’ father sends a message God wants to portray? That the fathers’ responsibilities are to love their children and build families, homes and communities.

Perhaps Joseph’s role is also to teach men to love and nurture children despite blood relations. Could it be that God chose to impregnate The Virgin Mary, who was about to be married by Joseph, to also emphasise that without a father’s involvement, the structure of a home, family, community, and a child’s life is incomplete? And that just as Joseph was instrumental in parenting Jesus, who was not his biological son, so it should be for each father, each man - to take up the role of creating and building homes, influencing, impacting and nurturing children positively no matter their relation? Jesus' life, and the result of His relationship with both God the Father and Joseph the carpenter, portray the importance of the role of fathers and the legacies they are expected to create and build The influence and role of a father go beyond the title. It demands that fathers teach children values such as love, integrity, compassion and justice. When good fathers are present, children learn moral values and grow into adults who influence and build good homes. When they build good homes, they automatically create good communities and neighbourhoods and contribute to a just and compassionate world - this is the role of a father. Maybe if the fathers of this time took their role for what God intended it to be, today’s children would also grow up to create, build exemplary lives and leave generationally impactful legacies as Jesus did. He built the Church and changed lives for the better. A father’s role is to build and nurture children that will change communities and therefore the world. On this Father's Day, may we honour God the Father, Joseph the Carpenter and Jesus the Son. May we celebrate and honour the fathers who have taken Jesus as their example to love, protect and provide for their children and communities. May we encourage our sons, brothers, cousins and those in our influence, to do better, to take Jesus’ and Joseph the carpenter’s baton and build good legacies for generational life-changing impact. May we Pray for, love and support those children who yearn for an earthly father. May we encourage and give Grace to the fathers who are genuinely trying to do better. May we start experiencing the fathers we wish to have and continuously show Gratitude to the Father that is God, the Lord and King of kings - our Daddy. arise Mag 8

Become Audit Ready toStrengthen your Business In today's business landscape, organisations face increasing demands for transparency, accountability, and compliance. Being audit-ready goes beyond mere preparation for a regulatory audit; it encompasses adopting a proactive approach to financial integrity, risk management, and operational efficiency. This article explores the benefits of becoming audit-ready and highlights how this mindset can help organisations strengthen their financial health, mitigate risks, and achieve sustainable success. Enhanced Financial Integrity One of the primary benefits of being audit-ready is the promotion of financial integrity within an organization. By implementing robust internal controls, adhering to accounting standards, and maintaining accurate and transparent financial records, organisations instil confidence in stakeholders. Being audit-ready ensures that financial statements are reliable and trustworthy, fostering trust among investors, creditors, and shareholders. Furthermore, it helps prevent financial irregularities, fraud, and mismanagement, safeguarding the reputation and long-term viability of the organisation. Improved Risk Management Becoming audit-ready involves identifying and managing risks effectively. Through risk assessments and internal audits, organisations gain insights into potential vulnerabilities and can develop risk mitigation strategies. This proactive approach enables businesses to identify and address risks before they escalate into significant issues. By implementing strong risk management practices, organisations can minimise the likelihood and impact of operational, financial, and compliance risks. This, in turn, contributes to the overall stability and resilience of the organisation. Streamlined Operations and Efficiency Preparing for audits requires organisations to assess their internal processes, workflows, and operational efficiencies. By evaluating and optimising these areas, businesses can identify areas for improvement and streamline their operations. Being audit-ready encourages the adoption of best practices, standardisation of procedures, and automation of manual tasks. This not only increases operational efficiency but also reduces the likelihood of errors and enhances productivity. Streamlined operations lead to cost savings, improved resource allocation, and ultimately, a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Regulatory Compliance and Legal Protection In today's complex regulatory landscape, being audit-ready ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. By staying updated on regulatory changes and aligning internal processes with compliance requirements, organisations can avoid penalties, legal disputes, and reputational damage. Audit readiness helps organisations maintain accurate and complete records, implement data protection measures, and adhere to privacy regulations. By proactively addressing compliance obligations, businesses demonstrate their commitment to ethical practices and protect themselves from legal and regulatory risks. Being audit-ready increases credibility and confidence in your business and builds trust among stakeholders and investors. Eliminate Stigma to change your Financial Standing It helps to take a moment to reflect on the importance of cultivating a renewed mindset. Our thoughts and beliefs have a profound impact on our actions, decisions, and ultimately, the outcomes we experience in our careers and lives. I often engage with women in positions of influence and leadership, such as lawyers and doctors who own firms and Medical Practices. One of the areas we tackle is the importance of examining our perceptions of ourselves and our place in the world. Our relationship with money is deeply intertwined with our belief system ...true wealth lies not and self-esteem. How we perceive our skills, services, and expertise in material directly reflects in our bank accounts and the opportunities that come our way. Far too often, we may find ourselves grappling with limiting possessions but in our beliefs that hold us back from embracing the abundance and prosperity relationship with God that God intends for us. We may underestimate our worth, underprice our services, or hesitate to confidently articulate the value we bring and His people. to the table. As women of Faith, we are called to rise above the patterns and limitations of this world. Romans 12:2 offers us powerful guidance, \"Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will.\" In essence, God invites us to break free from the moulds and expectations imposed by society and align our thoughts with His truth.

How Comfortable are your Money Conversations? In our society, there is often a stigma surrounding conversations about money. I noticed this with - for example, my doctor clients who had bravely ventured out of cushy government hospitals into their own Practices. I quickly realized that though doctors have dedicated their lives to the noble pursuit of healing and caring for others, honed their skills, gained extensive knowledge, and made countless sacrifices along the way - there often exists a stigma surrounding discussions about making money. This is despite their expertise and the pivotal role they play in society. The stigma creates barriers and limitations that hinder their ability to fully embrace and reach their financial potential. Let me say this, venturing on your own to establish a private practice or business is a significant milestone. It represents a leap of Faith, independence, and the pursuit of professional fulfilment. However, it also brings with it a unique set of challenges, including navigating the complex terrain of financial matters, marketing, building teams and getting one's foot through the door. As Christian women in positions of influence and leadership, we must rise above societal expectations and bravely initiate open dialogue about finances for us to realise our true financial potential. There is no limit to the harvest that God has for us, individually and as His nation. In honour of Women’s Money, when viewed through the lens of Faith, is not something to be feared Month, Avon invites or avoided. It is a tool, a resource that, when used wisely, can create positive women to claim their change, support our families, and advance the Kingdom of God. We must be economic power by prepared to shatter the silence and remove the stigma that surrounds conversations about money. By doing so, we empower ourselves and others becoming to pursue financial abundance without guilt or shame. Beauty Entrepreneurs In 1 Timothy 6:17-18, the apostle Paul writes, \"Command those who are rich in and doing beauty this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is their way. so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.\" God, therefore, calls us to use the resources He has entrusted to us wisely, to be generous and willing to share our Blessings with others. These Words serve as a reminder of our responsibility as stewards of the resources that God has entrusted to us. We are called to approach money with humility, recognizing that true wealth lies not in material possessions but in our relationship with God and His people. By shifting our focus from accumulation to generosity, we can utilize the financial blessings we receive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. My Journey with Money You may wonder how I monetised my God-given gift in the online world… It happened when I discovered that the online space offered incredible opportunities for growth and impact. Through hard work, dedication, and a mindset shift, I transformed my passion for helping others into a thriving online business.

I started by offering a WhatsApp for Business Masterclass and sold the tickets for R250. A doctor that had attended said to me “It's very obvious you know social media well and I do not have the time to implement what you were teaching. Can I pay you to do what you were teaching for my practice?” I agreed and through working with her I gained confidence and believed that others would be willing to pay for the same and more. Over time I saw an opportunity to create online courses and provide coaching services, leveraging the power of the Internet to reach a broader audience. Some of my earliest clients were accountants with their own firms and I shared my expertise to empower them to use the online space to gain more clients and increase their revenue. As I continued to grow, I expanded my reach through other professionals and personal brands such as speaking engagements - on and offline - and writing a book. By leveraging the power of the internet, I reach a global audience and make a tangible impact on the lives of many. Proverbs 18:16 reminds us, \"A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.\" When we use our gifts to serve others and bring Glory to God, He opens doors of opportunity and grants us favour in our endeavours. He taught me the lady who had worked at the till lift a tray from importance of compassion, kindness, and treating others with respect. His love and care have nurtured my character, shaping me into the person I am today. Jacky de Rosnay, that’s his name, has faced challenges throughout his life, yet he always emerges stronger and more determined. His resilience and optimistic outlook on life have been a guiding light, reminding me that there is always hope, even in the darkest of times. I aspire to make him proud and succeed in my business endeavours, driven by the desire to repay him for all he has done for me. And above all, I dream of the day when we embark on that walking safari together, fulfilling his long-held dream. Dad, you are my hero, and I am eternally grateful for the life lessons, love, and unwavering support you have given me.

the till...which seemed a little heavy. I watched her walk to the back ofthe shop and empty the contents on the table. I couldn't believe my eyes! So many coins and banknotes. I asked her, “Whose money is that?“ She giggled and said, “It belongs to your dad.“ I couldn't believe it!! On our way home I asked my dad if it was true. He smiled and said, “Well my girl, Dad still has to do so much with that money. But yes, it starts there at the till.” That was enough motivation for me. “So, Dad, since you are rich, may I please make money as well. Can I come work for you? Will you please pay me too? “. My father laughed and the rest is history. I spent most of my childhood weekends and school holidays working with my dad. I earned some pocket money and took pride in my money box as it grew heavier and heavier and every December I emptied it and bought my family Christmas presents. I must say over and above earning pocket money, I got to first-hand witness some basic principles of running a business. I witnessed my father consistently run staff meetings and chair them with humility and respect for his team. I witnessed him turn up for work always clean, neat and focused and spoke to his customers with genuine concern and dedication. I also saw the respect he received in the community. This made me believe that there was something magical and special about being an entrepreneur, that perhaps it was a calling. In the first term of my high school journey, I struggled with Maths and failed the first test. That experience exacerbated my fear of Maths. My father sat me down and calmly shared with me a technique about Maths that I believe I have never stopped using. He taught me that being good at Maths needs a little daily practice. A few sums or problems must be done every day - over and above the given homework and irrespective of a looming test or exam. He told me it is those daily minutes of practice that will make sitting in an exam or test stress-free. As a result, I fell in love and excelled in Maths. This technique has spilt over into my business journey. I have learnt that in business you have to remain consistent, committed, dedicated and humble. You have to focus on your craft until you perfect it. You have to lead by example and be committed to your team. I am grateful that in every business venture I have dared to try, my father has never discouraged me. This has given me the courage to try and fail. I have also learnt to never underestimate the power of winning in silence. @gmz_womeninbusiness_

LINTA ANISH Mr. James Samuel, my father, 65 years old, husband to my mom, father to my husband, best grandpa to my son is the world's best dad. My father is the most amazing man in the entire world. Most of my childhood was spent with my mother because my father lived in Kuwait, and he visited for only a month every three years. The time in between was filled with letters and phone calls. My parents chose to stay apart so that I could be educated and so they could own a house. It still breaks my heart to know that I am the reason they were far from each other for many years. I was very happy at the age of 16 when he moved in with us - full time. He taught me how to argue and stand my ground, fight with my fists, and what to look for in a future husband. I have a lot of respect for my dad because he never drank, smoked or abused my mother; he is a good born-again believer. We argued so much throughout my teenage years that I thought about running away from home. As a proud father, he was in tears when I got married. He taught me that in marriage a loving and forgiving heart is crucial, \"love like you got married yesterday\" he said. I have a son, and now he's a naughty grandfather. He was recently in a terrible car accident but up until then, in his 50s, he was considered the youngest man in town I demanded only one thing when my parents were looking for a husband for me - that whomever they chose had to be greater than or on par with my dad, nothing less. My father is in my blood, and has moulded me into a better person and taught me to be a friend to my son, to have patience, the importance of supporting my partner, especially during difficult times, and to remain standing when everything around me seems to be crumbling. I am an artist today, not a nurse, because he taught me to never give up. He taught me everything that has made me who I am today. We've been separated for 6years by 8242km, living on two different continents, and it hurts us both. I cannot wait to see my father again!! @itslinslife

One on One with Hetty Kea MM: your name - Hetty the Entrepreneur - why this name? Hetty: The name \"Hetty the Entrepreneur\" represents my identity as a business and monetization guru. I chose to attach \"guru\" to my name because I believe it's important to normalize Black Women owning their spaces and expertise in entrepreneurship. It signifies my unapologetic ownership of my skills and knowledge in the business world. I embraced the identity of \"the entrepreneur\" when I started my journey towards building my own business and monetizing my skills and expertise. This was around 2010 when my husband and I decided to venture into business together. Was there ever a time when you felt stuck, didn't know what you are meant to do next or meant to do with your life in general? What was that season like for you and how did you get unstuck? Yes, there was a time when I felt uncertain about my path and what I was meant to do in life. It was a challenging season filled with confusion and doubt. To get unstuck, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, investing in courses and coaches to tap into my abilities. I also sought guidance from mentors and invested time in personal development to gain clarity on my passions and strengths. It took time, but eventually, I understood my calling and regained a sense of direction. We have all been exposed to social media, some later than others. What did you do before then, and when did it dawn on you that this (social media) is a business space? I didn't enter business before social media. I remember taking a course on using social media, Facebook particularly, for business. The course revolutionized my idea of using social media as a tool and took ess from 10 000 followers to 100 000 followers, within m y business6 months. How long did it take for you to realise your goals for online business? It's difficult to pinpoint an exact timeline, as success in online business is a gradual process that requires continuous learning and adaptation. However, I'd say that it took me a full 2 years of consistent effort and dedication to fully realize my goals of having an established agency with clients and staff not only from South Africa but from West Africa, UK as well as Asia. Building an online business is not an overnight achievement, but rather a journey of perseverance and learning from both successes and setbacks. My Faith is that with God's help, I will overcome obstacles and fulfil my purpose.

There are many women of different ages in different careers who fear social media. What advice do you have for us? Start small and take it one step at a time. Begin by familiarizing yourself with a single platform and gradually expand your presence as you become more comfortable. Get a coach or hire an agency like mine, to ensure you receive the correct guidance to be able to put out your authentic self that speaks to your tribe and target audience. Remember that social media is a tool that can amplify your voice and expand your reach. Embrace it as an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, showcase your expertise, and build a supportive community. When was the last time you were 'broke', and what led to this? The last time I experienced financial hardship was during the early stages of building my online business, especially during the Covid lockdown when all my retail stores were closed. Landlords from the 7 malls kept sending monthly invoices even though the stores were closed. It was a nightmare!! However, through perseverance, determination, and listening to God’s whisper, I was directed to help other entrepreneurs through monetisation strategies for their businesses. Would you say you are now in a position where you do not worry about money? Yes, I am grateful to say that I am in a position where I no longer worry Trust in God's about money in the way I did before. Through strategic planning, guidance, and He hard work, and leveraging my skills and knowledge, I have been able will open doors you to create financial stability. However, I still maintain a responsible approach to finances and continue to strive for growth and financial security. never thought possible. When you started your business, what were you believing God for, what did you put your Faith in for you to now say, \"My unwavering Faith has brought me to where I am today\"? My unwavering Faith has been integral in my journey as an entrepreneur. I believed in God for guidance, strength, and Divine opportunities. My Faith is that with God's help, I will overcome obstacles and fulfil my purpose. It was through prayer, seeking God's wisdom, and trusting in His plan that I found the courage to take risks, persevere during challenging times, and make the right decisions. Trust in God's plan for your life, submit to His will, and He will guide you on the path to fulfilment and success.

What were your biggest concerns when you first started to work? As a young adult, in my early days of work, I frequently wondered “Is this it? Spending 3 quarters of my life with my colleagues? Growing up, what did money mean to you? I started to understand the meaning of money during my teenage years. I used to sell sweets and I also observed my grandmother who managed to build a house in Tsakane during apartheid, with income from her selling amagwinya. She is the original Hetty the Entrepreneur. What is the impact of the stigma attached to money conversations? As leaders and individuals, the lack of open dialogue and understanding of financial matters prevents many from reaching their full financial potential. This is a powerful lesson I also learnt from my Grandmother. Your last words? I am living proof that intentional change and Faith in God can lead us to unimaginable heights. I urge you to embrace your dreams, unearth God's whisper in your life, and nurture a renewed mindset. We must break free from the limitations that society imposes upon us and identify our talents and skills so we can confidently monetise for the greater good. Together, we can empower ourselves and others to step into their divine calling and create a legacy that Glorifies our Heavenly Father. The time for intentional change is now. Remember, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. God has equipped us with unique talents and passions. Embrace them, monetise them, and shine your light brightly. Trust in God's guidance, and He will open doors you never thought possible. Let's embark on this journey of intentional change together and watch as God shows up in magnificent ways. May God Bless you abundantly as you step into your purpose and confidently own your space. Proverbs 3:5-6 provides a fitting reminder as we conclude, \"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.\" Trust in God's plan for your life, submit to His will, and He will guide you on the path to fulfilment and success.

A Daughter's Loss & her Journey to Healing The day I was told that my mother had passed on is a moment that will forever be etched in my memory. I remember my heart sinking to my stomach and wanting to believe so badly that it wasn’t true. The shock and pain were overwhelming. As a young person, I struggled to come to terms with the reality of the situation. I questioned why God had chosen this path for me when I still had so much to learn from and share with my beloved mother. Doubt and fear consumed my mind, leaving me feeling lost and helpless. In the depths of my grief, I searched for answers. I yearned to understand why God had allowed such a tragedy to happen to me and my family. How could a loving God let this pain and suffering befall us? The journey it took to build the house was not easy, and she persisted in raising two kids by herself. Of course, she could not do it without the help of the Holy Spirit, and she never gave up; she persisted. I am where I am today because of that persistence. The loss of a loved one, like my experience, can lead to profound doubts. However, when looking at similar stories of loss and pain like that of Job in the Bible, I am reminded that God's ways are beyond our understanding. Despite the pain we endure, we can trust in His Faithful nature and believe that He has a purpose for everything He allows in our lives. Just as Job was restored after his suffering, we can find solace in knowing that God is with us in our darkest moments. Although we may never fully grasp His plan, we can rest in the assurance that He is Faithful and will ultimately bring healing and restoration to our lives.

Dr Basil Tryon - a Father's Legacy Celebrated!! Destiny Fulfilled, Parkhill Secondary School and the surrounding community hosted the Winter Youth Fest 2023 in commemoration of SA Youth Day in Greenwood Park, Durban. The event is part of a broader change management and Founder: Michelle Tryon empowerment programme at the school by Destiny Fulfilled www.destinyfulfilled.co.za which is founded by Michelle Tryon. \"It takes a village to raise a child and it's therefore incumbent on all of us to play a part in the journey of purpose, destiny discovery and fulfilment with the children. She dedicated the event to the legacy of her dad, the late Dr. Basil Tryon who dedicated his life to empowering people, including those who didn't believe in themselves. The successful, accident-free, youth empowering, family bonding, community development experience confirms the Winter Youth Fest 2023 as mission accomplished,\" says Michelle. She credits the accomplishment to the power of unity by all who participated: CPF, private security companies, SAPS, Metro, residents and youth civic society organisations. The event was a full buffet, including professional artists like the esteemed Ernie Smith and guest speaker Dr. Junaid Ward, a former pupil at the school who flew in from Dubai. The community further enjoyed a 5-a-side mini soccer tournament, kiddies' corner with clowns, jumping castle, face painting, and a vibrant flea market where school learners showcased their entrepreneurial skills to stimulate the economy at a community level. While the youth of 1976 were commemorated, it was inspiring to witness the youth and learners of 2023 involved with all of the event, from MCing to poetry, singing and dancing on stage. Over 100 change agent volunteered their support, empowering the youth to seize opportunities and rise to the occasion. The Event gave young people, families, business owners, community leaders and members an eye gate moment of the possibilities that lie before us when we collaborate to make a positive impact together.

ConsciousParenting My life took an unexpected turn when I became a widow at a young age. Suddenly, I had to navigate the challenging waters of single parenthood, trying to make sense of my grief while raising two wonderful boys. It was during this difficult time that I discovered the transformative power of Conscious Parenting. The most part of my kids’ lives were with both parents who were fully engaged and parented with awareness, love who were big on exploring and experiencing life together as a family. We were suddenly destabilised by death. Being Awakened by the tragedy of loss and seeing my kids' in pain revolutionised my parenting journey to Conscious Parenting. Suffering trauma and pain became my greatest teacher. Thabiso Hadebe My desperation for healing, and realising that my condition - emotional @thabiso_parenting and mental state - was not beneficial for my children led me to choose the Word of God, Truth and Hope to anchor my Soul. The first steps, small steps, to my well-being became prioritising myself, my emotions, physical and Spiritual well-being without feeling guilty. Releasing and surrendering to God's Will and not leaving my kids behind. Conscious Parenting is adopting a connection-based approach to parenting and intentionally creating space for children to be seen, heard, validated and loved unconditionally through expression and gestures. The relationship flowing from a strong emotional bond that I have created with my kids became an agent of change and the most powerful form of therapy for all of us. The healthier our relationship became the more we healed. As a parent, my non-negotiables are honouring myself, starting my day with Prayer, gratitude, laughter, meditation, connection, experience and exploration. Life has a way of presenting us with unexpected challenges which require us to draw strength from our Faith and the knowledge that God is with us in every circumstance. Conscious Parenting equips us with the tools to navigate these challenges with resilience and Grace. Whether we are single parents, widows, or have experienced other hardships, we can demonstrate to our children the power of relying on God's guidance, cultivating gratitude, and finding joy amidst adversity. I now take better care of my kids and the people around me because grief has taught me that they won't be here forever. Our children will only remember moments over the things we buy for them. Our presence and not presents has a long-lasting impact and that is what I advocate for in my Conscious Parenting coaching. Today, I am passionate about sharing my lessons with other parents, particularly Christian women who are also juggling the demands of corporate or entrepreneurial life. Here are the principles of Conscious Parenting and how they intersect with our Faith and professional pursuits.

Embracing Conscious Parenting: A Call for we have in God providing the necessary guidance to Intentional Change: Conscious Parenting is rooted our balancing act of parenting and pursuing careers in the belief that our children deserve our presence, and businesses. love, and guidance. It calls for deliberate choices, fostering healthy relationships and instilling positive Spiritual Practices and Parenting: Our emotional values. well-being and mindfulness are important for our busy lives. The workshops and courses (in-person and online) not only provide tools but also a The Balance: Nurturing Our Children and Pursuing safe space for open dialogue. Faith MovesBring the Best Change Your next best move is expressed in the decisions and actions you make. Nothing in the Kingdom of God happens by coincidence. Have you noticed that, whether we like it or not, life always demands our physical, Spiritual and mental growth? For instance, when a child is born, it is expected to go through all the stages and when the child is not progressing as expected, the parents panic and seek help? This is because God has wired each and every one of us for Soulish, Spiritual and Physical growth and we naturally expect it. God also places a demand of growth and development of our gifts, talents and abilities on us regardless of our life circumstances. The unfortunate part is that when we do not take the necessary steps to align our lives with His will for us, we may forfeit them - consider Matthew 5:14. A while ago I found myself in a situation that demanded that I rise to my potential or be in danger of self-destruction. I felt cornered by pain after the loss of my dear mother. The year that I experienced my deepest pain became the very year that propelled me to my destiny and demanded that I make the next best move of Faith. In that season of mourning, I had to rely completely on the enabling power of the Holy Spirit in order for me to grow past my pain and launch into the next season God had for me. I must admit that although this was the darkest season of my life, it also became the season where my vision became clearer. More often than not, vision and establishments are birthed out of pain. God allows that to happen because He is confident in what He has deposited in us. I once heard a sermon that gave me an “Aha moment”. It said that it was only when Jesus started His ministry that the devil started to tempt Him. Meaning, it is only when you are on the right path that the devil will try to derail you from God’s plan. The attacks, delays, being overpowered or overwhelmed by doubt, anxiety or procrastination are not signs that our God is absent, in fact, they should serve as proof that there is a move to be made - an important move that will serve us and God. @mpho.j.thulo It is in such moments that we should be encouraged and Author, Speaker, Radio Presenter and Columnist intentional about making the move towards reaching our God defined destiny.

In all seasons of life, and stages of our maturity, we need to always be aware of the urgency of our calling so that we can make decisions that correlate with the vision and ideas that God places in our hearts. We need to learn not to allow disappointing situations to paralyse our Faith or keep us from moving. Every step of Faith we take will direct us to the destiny God prepared for us before we were in the world. Our lives and success are based on the decisions and actions we take. When we don't make decisions that take us to our destiny, we end up with the life we did not plan or that is not meant and designed for us. Out of the painful ordeal of my life came the greatest testimony of my life. I launched my memoir and started to Minister through radio and various media platforms. These milestones validate that great reward awaits us when we decide to be agile and make decisions based on the wisdom we've received from God -in other words: rewards come when we make Faith moves. God-ordained opportunities are accessed when we are anchored, ...in the season of guided and led by Him. We need to allow Him to mould us into who He mourning I had to created us to be so that we grow beyond human capacity. His Word rely completely on the reveals that in Him we grow from strength to strength. God is always calling us higher and if we look at life from His point of view, we will enabling power of thebegin to see ourselves the same way He sees us, and we will make bold decisions - trusting that in Him we will always reach the other Holy Spirit in order side with victory. for me to grow past I have learnt of Faithful men and women in Scripture who journey with my pain God, that all it takes for one to be successful in attaining Spiritual resilience is to obey and trust God. I know for a fact that the breakthrough in my life didn't come by default but by choosing to take the next best step of Faith and face my fears instead of focusing on pain. I believe that true devotion to growth is only with the help of the Spirit of God. The greatest principles I extrapolated from that season of my life are, firstly, Faith in God will never lead us astray. Secondly, our complete surrender will allow God to take the lead, and thirdly, it takes obedience to reach our destiny in God. The entire chapter of the book of Hebrews 11 is of individuals who took their next best step of Faith and through that, they received a good report from the Lord and did great things for His Kingdom. I believe with all my heart that if we align our lives with the Word of God and apply our Faith we will impact our families, communities and the world with Godly influence.

Change Needs Mentorship We are often told or advised to make necessary change to grow and evolve. We are told that change is good and necessary. But, truth be told, the process of change is not always easy and does not always look or feel good. But, what if I told you that there are actions you can take to ensure that ‘the change’ is a good one that will propel you to your next level? My journey has been a testament to the power of relationships and intentional change. With God at the center of our endeavours, we can embrace intentional change, cultivate meaningful relationships, and thrive in the business world whilst making a lasting impact on those around us. Hence, today, I am an impact-driven woman in the security industry with a passion for mentoring and helping others to grow. Intentional change is a deliberate decision to align our actions with our desire, aspirations, Faith and values. It involves being proactive in seeking growth and transformation, both personally and professionally. We are called, in the book of Romans, to challenge the norms of the world and seek change that aligns with God's @ntsoaki_sibiya Business and Career Mentor purpose for our lives. Intentional change requires self-reflection, seeking wisdom, and taking courageous steps to bring about positive transformation in ourselves and those we encounter. intentionally aligning our business endeavors with our values, creates a ripple effect of positive change in us, our communities and industries. Walking on the path of entrepreneurship and business as Christian women allows us to witness the transformative power of relationships and intentional change. I firmly believe that women are the backbone of society and drivers of the economy. Good Relationships lead to Good Change: We are created to be relational beings. Relationships shape our lives and when a woman’s life is changed, the lives of those around her change too. Relationships provide us with a support system that uplift us during challenging times and inspire us to reach new heights. When we surround ourselves with like-minded individuals who share our values and aspirations, we create an environment that fosters personal, professional and Spiritual growth as stated in the book of Proverbs “…iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”. Just as iron sharpens iron, our connections with others can refine us, help us to grow, and bring out the best in us. By building strong relationships, we create a network of support and encouragement, enabling us to overcome obstacles and achieve success

Mentorship is Good for Good Change: Proverbs: 19:20 encourages us to seek counsel from wise mentors, stating, \"Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end, you will be counted among the wise.\" in the same breath, Proverbs:13:20 reminds us, \"Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. Mentorship has been an integral part of my journey as a businesswoman. I have been blessed with mentors who have imparted invaluable advice, knowledge, and wisdom to me. Mentorship is a relationship-based process that allows us to learn from someone who has already walked the path we aspire, or we are already journeying. They provide guidance, support, and encouragement as we navigate the challenges and complexities. Proverbs 27:9 beautifully describes mentoring relationships as \"Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.\" A mentor is not only a guide but also provides heartfelt advice and support. They offer us a safe space to learn, grow, and overcome obstacles - some professionally, others to help us grow in our Faith and align our business endeavours with our Christian values. Good mentorship empowers us to step into our God-given potential, equipping us with the tools and knowledge needed to excel in our chosen fields. Embracing mentorship for intentional change unlocks our full potential in the corporate and business world. We are called to support and empower one another, recognizing that our success is intertwined. One-on-one mentorship relationships hold immense value, particularly for women in business. These relationships offer a tailored approach, addressing our specific circumstances and challenges. By establishing a deep connection with a mentor, we can gain insights that go beyond mere professional or business advice. There is mentorship that allows integration of Faith into our business practices, ensuring that our decisions and actions are aligned with our values - ultimately making us wise and impactful leaders in our respective spaces. Mentorship - Learning by Observation: \"Listen to advice and accept discipline, and Mentorship can also occur from a distance. The opportunity to at the end, you will be connect virtually expands and allows us to learn from our collective experiences. We can follow the journey, consume content, counted among the and gain valuable insights, sometimes without the person knowing wise.\" that he or she is mentoring you. By observing behaviors, mindset, and approach to business, I find that my mentees are able to adopt positive qualities and incorporate them into our own lives. Even from afar, we are inspired and motivated by the examples set by others, learning from their successes and failures - sometimes without them knowing that they are our mentors. Wise role models cultivate a mindset of growth and continuous growth to excellence.

ChangeTaking Steps for The book of John teaches about a woman caught in Truth is, with our commitment and God's Grace the act of adultery. Paraphrasing the story - the we can change. Big change starts with small teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought steps. A journey of 1000 steps starts with one step her to Jesus to trap Jesus because the law stated - is that what they say? that anyone caught in adultery, which is Sexual Immorality, must be stoned to death. Boundaries and Discipline are part and parcel Jesus’ response to her accusers, the church of a healthy life. This is why employers tell us what congregation, was ‘let any of you who is without sin time to be at work and how much lunch or leave be the first to throw a stone at her’. From the elders time we have. These boundaries ensure that to the youngest, one by one, they left without enough time is allocated for the goals and targets throwing a stone. the business is committed to meeting. And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.\" John 8:10-11. Jesus set her free to start afresh and to overcome sin. This simply says that we too have the ability and Grace to change, leave our past behind and become a version of ourselves we are proud of. Many of us struggle with one or more things that we want to change - self-esteem, addiction, career, relationships or certain behaviours like sexual immorality. Sometimes we think we have been in it for a long time or strayed too far in the wrong direction to stop or change. Sometimes it is the lables and categories we are given that keep us stuck. The Company You Keep Letting go of some people is a must if you are serious about turning your life to the direction of Righteousness and Holiness as it is written in Psalm 1:1: Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. It will be more difficult to achieve the change you desire if you continue being in the company of those who are completely different to who you want to become or the change you wish to achieve. Letting go will help you to grow and bear better fruit. If it is your Faith you wish to deepen then surround yourself with Believers, if it is your business or leadership qualities you wish to improve - choose the company of winning and inspiring business leaders. Counteract this trap and intentionally consume content that is healthy, wholesome, nourishing mental food. When the mind is good, the body and emotions become healthier. Unwind! Answered Prayer: Viola Davis, an American award winning actress, says she had a little help from a friend and Heaven in finding her husband. She says when a friend found out she was single, he asked her if she ever prayed for a husband? She realised she hadn't and her next step was to make a list of her desired qualities before she got on her knees. Viola shares \"I Prayed for a big Black man from the South who's probably been married before and has kids, because I don't want any pressure in that department. He must be someone who is an actor or understands the artistic community, goes to church and loves God.\" before I said Amen, I also said, 'If you give me that, I'll start going to church, God. I really will. I'm committed to it.' And then I signed off, just like writing a letter.\" Believe it or not, her prayer was answered three and a half weeks later when she met Julius, now her husband since 2003.
