Eastern Tech NeedsTo limit students walking throughthe halls without purpose, everyteacher needs to “host” studentsduring one of the MAVTime blocks:MAV 1 or MAV 2

Student ExpectationsStudents will be required to sign-upfor a MAV 1 and MAV 2 selectionevery dayStudents' schedules must be madeprior to 9:30 for the current dayand may be made yearly in advance
Student ExpectationsStudents may be required tocomplete redo assignments ormake-up work during MAVTimeStudents may attendanother/alternative location basedon need (nurse, office) withpermission of a teacher (passrequired).
Student ExpectationsStudents must attend scheduledselectionsStudents may use their phones or aschool computer to make MAVTimeselections
Teachers will be required to maintain the same schedule throughout 1st semester. EXCEPTIONS: If a Tier 1 activity does not meet the previous requirements, lunch may be schedule at a different time to accommodate the Tier 1 schedule. For example, Ms. Meyer selects lunch during MAV1 when NSSHS meets during MAV2.
Teacher ExpectationsTeachers must schedule themselves for one Lunchperiod and one activity/club or study hall per day.Lunch should be scheduled as an activity with zerostudents allowed to sign-up during that time.Study Hall expectations - teachers are expected, ata minimum, to chaperone students. Students arenot required to “study” during study hall. Theymay participate in various activities that areappropriate.Office hours for teachers can be held during studyhall times and are not to be scheduled as isolatedactivitiesTutoring and/or coach class can be conductedwith a study hall to allow 25 students per section
Teacher ExpectationsTeachers must utilize the MAVTimeApp to create their schedule withstudent limits of 20-25 for anactivity and 25 for study hallTeachers must take dailyattendance using the MAVTime Appper MAV 1 and MAV 2
Teacher ExpectationsTeachers must include theirMAVTime schedule on any lessonplans left for substitutesTeachers can offer course specificMAVTime offerings that extendlearning opportunities for studentsto elect to attend
Teacher ExpectationsTeachers can require students toattend a MAVTime session (givennotice) to complete class requiredmaterial such as redos or missed tests.Teachers can place studentrestrictions and permissions onMAVTime offerings

Scheduling Guidelines for Teachers In order to try to balance offerings between MAV1 and MAV2, teachers will be asked to follow the following: Science and Math IMP, Construction, Allied Health, IT, Engineering, LCR,– Teachers and Mr. Hall & Mr. Headings will schedule MAV2 Activities Social Studies and English, Art, Music, World Languages,TAM, Business, teachers and Ms. Williams will schedule MAV1 Activities Special Education, Library, Culinary and Guidance are not requested to follow a specific schedule. Please let Dr. Bowes know if you need to offer an activity at a different time
