Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 1 ‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ ﺗَﻘَﺒﱠ ْﻞ ِﻣﻨﱠﺎٓ إِﻧﱠ َﻚ أَﻧ َﺖ ٱﻟ ﱠﺴ ِﻤﯿ ُﻊ ٱ ْﻟﻌَ ِﻠﯿ ُﻢ‬ Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas-sameeul aleem [Al-Baqarah:127] Our Lord! Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 2 ‫ﺳﯿﺪ اﻹﺳﺘﻐﻔﺎر‬ ‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ َرﺑِّﻲ ﻻ إِﻟَﮫَ إِﻻ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ َﺧﻠَ ْﻘﺘَﻨِﻲ َوأَﻧَﺎ َﻋ ْﺒﺪُ َك َوأَﻧَﺎ َﻋﻠَﻰ َﻋ ْﮭ ِﺪ َك َو َو ْﻋ ِﺪ َك‬ ‫َﻣﺎ ا ْﺳﺘَ َﻄ ْﻌ ُﺖ أَ ُﻋﻮذُ ﺑِ َﻚ ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ َﻣﺎ َﺻﻨَ ْﻌ ُﺖ أَﺑُﻮ ُء ﻟَ َﻚ ﺑِﻨِ ْﻌ َﻤﺘِ َﻚ َﻋﻠَ ﱠﻲ َوأَﺑُﻮ ُء ﻟَ َﻚ‬ ‫ﺑِﺬَ ْﻧﺒِﻲ ﻓَﺎ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﻟﻲ ﻓَﺈِﻧﱠﮫُ ﻻ ﯾَ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُﺮ اﻟﺬﱡﻧُﻮ َب إِﻻ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ‬ [‫]ﺻﺤﯿﺢ اﻟﺒﺨﺎري‬ Sayyed Al-Istighfaar Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa Anta Khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ‘ala ahdika wa wa’dika mastata’tu, A’udhu bika min Sharri ma sana’tu, abu’u Laka bini’matika ‘alaiya, wa Abu’u Laka bidhanbi faghfirli fainnahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa ant [Sahih al-Bukhari] The Master of Seeking Forgiveness O Allah! You are my Lord. None has the right to be worshipped except You. You created me and I am your slave and I abide by your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in you from the evil, which I have committed. I acknowledge your favour upon me and I confess my sins, so forgive me, for there is none who may forgive sins but You. Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 3 ‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ إِﻧِّﻲ َظﻠَ ْﻤ ُﺖ ﻧَ ْﻔ ِﺴﻲ‬ ‫ُظ ْﻠ ًﻤﺎ َﻛﺜِﯿ ًﺮا َوﻻَ ﯾَ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُﺮ اﻟﺬﱡﻧُﻮ َب‬ ‫إِﻻﱠ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ ﻓَﺎ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﻟﻲ َﻣ ْﻐ ِﻔ َﺮةً ِﻣ ْﻦ ِﻋ ْﻨ ِﺪ َك َوا ْر َﺣ ْﻤﻨِﻲ إِﻧﱠ َﻚ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ‬ ‫ا ْﻟﻐَﻔُﻮ ُر اﻟ ﱠﺮ ِﺣﯿ ُﻢ‬ [‫]اﻟﺒﺨﺎري وﻣﺴﻠﻢ‬ Allahumma inni thalamtu nafsi thulman kathiran wa la yaghfirudh-dhunub illa Anta, faghfirli maghfiratan min 'indika warhamni, innaka Antal-Ghafurur- Rahim [al-Bukhari & Muslim] O Allah, I have greatly wronged myself, and no one forgives sins but You. Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 4 ‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ آﺗِﻨَﺎ ﻓِﻲ اﻟﺪﱡ ْﻧﯿَﺎ َﺣ َﺴﻨَﺔً َوﻓِﻲ ا ْﻵ ِﺧ َﺮةِ َﺣ َﺴﻨَﺔً َوﻗِﻨَﺎ َﻋﺬَا َب اﻟﻨﱠﺎ ِر‬ [Al-Baqarah:201] Rabbana 'Atina Fi AdDunya Hasanatan Wa Fi Al-'Akhirati Hasanatan Wa Qina `Adhaba An-Nari [Al-Baqarah:201] Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. [Al-Baqarah:201] Supplication 5 ‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ َﻻ ﺗُ ِﺰ ْغ ﻗُﻠُﻮﺑَﻨَﺎ ﺑَ ْﻌﺪَ إِ ْذ َھﺪَ ْﯾﺘَﻨَﺎ َو َھ ْﺐ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ِﻣﻦ ﻟﱠﺪُﻧ َﻚ َر ْﺣ َﻤﺔً ۚ إِﻧﱠ َﻚ أَﻧ َﺖ ٱ ْﻟ َﻮ ﱠھﺎ ُب‬ Rabbana la tuzigh quloobana ba'da ith hadaytana wahab lana min ladunka rahmatan innaka anta alwahhab [Aali-'Imran: 8] Our Lord, do not make our hearts go astray after You have guided us, and give us mercy from Your presence. Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 6 ‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ ﻓَﺎ ِط َﺮ اﻟ ﱠﺴ َﻤ َﻮا ِت‬ ُ‫َواﻷَ ْر ِض َﻋﺎ ِﻟ َﻢ ا ْﻟﻐَ ْﯿ ِﺐ َواﻟ ﱠﺸ َﮭﺎدَةِ ﻻَ إِﻟَﮫَ إِﻻﱠ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ َر ﱠب ُﻛ ِّﻞ َﺷ ْﻲ ٍء َو َﻣ ِﻠﯿ َﻜﮫُ أَ ُﻋﻮذ‬ ‫ﺑِ َﻚ ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ ﻧَ ْﻔ ِﺴﻲ َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ اﻟ ﱠﺸ ْﯿ َﻄﺎ ِن َو ِﺷ ْﺮ ِﻛ ِﮫ َوأَ ْن أَ ْﻗﺘَ ِﺮ َف َﻋﻠَﻰ ﻧَ ْﻔ ِﺴﻲ ُﺳﻮ ًءا‬ ‫أَ ْو أَ ُﺟ ﱠﺮهُ إِﻟَﻰ ُﻣ ْﺴ ِﻠ ٍﻢ‬ Allahuma fatira-samawati wal-ardi ʿalimal-ghaybi wa-shahadati la ilaha illa anta rabba kulli shayʾin wa maleekahu a’uthu bika min sharri nafsi wa min sharri-shaytani wa shirkihi wa an aqtarifa ʿala nafsi su’an aw ajurrahu ila muslim. O Allah, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the Unseen and Visible, there is no true God but You, Lord of all things and their Sovereign. I seek refuge in You from the evil of myself and the evil of Shaytan and his (encouragement to commit) idolatry, and from bringing evil to myself or to another Muslim [At-Tirmidhi] An-Noor Al-Mubeen Project 7

Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 7 ،‫ ﻻَ ِﺷﻔَﺎ َء إِﻻﱠ ِﺷﻔَﺎ ُؤ َك‬،‫ ا ْﺷ ِﻒ َوأَ ْﻧ َﺖ اﻟ ﱠﺸﺎﻓِﻲ‬،‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ َر ﱠب اﻟﻨﱠﺎ ِس أَ ْذ ِھ ِﺐ ا ْﻟﺒَﺎ َس‬ ‫ِﺷﻔَﺎ ًء ﻻَ ﯾُﻐَﺎ ِد ُر َﺳﻘَ ًﻤﺎ‬ Allahumma Rabban-nas Adhhibil-bas ishfi wa Antash-Shafi, la shifa'a illa shifauka shifa'an la yughadiru saqaman [Al-Bukhari & Muslim] O Lord of the people! Remove the difficulty and bring about healing as You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your Healing, a healing that will leave no ailment. An-Noor Al-Mubeen Project 8

Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 8 ُ‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ َﻻ ﺗُ َﺆا ِﺧ ْﺬﻧَﺎ إِن ﻧﱠ ِﺴﯿﻨَﺎ أَ ْو أَ ْﺧ َﻄﺄْﻧَﺎ ۚ َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ َو َﻻ ﺗَ ْﺤ ِﻤ ْﻞ َﻋﻠَ ْﯿﻨَﺎ إِ ْﺻ ًﺮا َﻛ َﻤﺎ َﺣ َﻤ ْﻠﺘَﮫ‬ ‫َﻋﻠَﻰ اﻟﱠ ِﺬﯾ َﻦ ِﻣﻦ ﻗَ ْﺒ ِﻠﻨَﺎ ۚ َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ َو َﻻ ﺗُ َﺤ ِّﻤ ْﻠﻨَﺎ َﻣﺎ َﻻ َطﺎﻗَﺔَ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ﺑِ ِﮫ ۖ َوا ْﻋ ُﻒ َﻋﻨﱠﺎ َوا ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ‬ ‫ﻟَﻨَﺎ َوا ْر َﺣ ْﻤﻨَﺎ ۚ أَﻧ َﺖ َﻣ ْﻮ َﻻﻧَﺎ ﻓَﺎﻧ ُﺼ ْﺮﻧَﺎ َﻋﻠَﻰ ا ْﻟﻘَ ْﻮ ِم ا ْﻟ َﻜﺎﻓِ ِﺮﯾ َﻦ‬ Rabbana la tu-akhithna in naseena aw akhta-na, Rabbana wala tahmil a'alayna isran kama hamaltahu a'la allatheena min qablina, Rabbana wala tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bihi, waa'fu a'aanna waghfir lana warhamna anta mawlana fansurna a'la alqawmi alkafireen [Al-Baqarah: 286] Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people. [Al-Baqarah: 286] An-Noor Al-Mubeen Project 9

Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 9 ‫ُ َ ٓﻻ إِﻟَ ٰـﮫَ إِ ﱠﻻ ُھ َﻮ ۖ َﻋﻠَ ْﯿ ِﮫ ﺗَ َﻮ ﱠﻛ ْﻠ ُﺖ ۖ َو ُھ َﻮ َر ﱡب ٱ ْﻟﻌَ ْﺮ ِش ٱ ْﻟﻌَ ِﻈﯿ ِﻢ‬ƒ‫َﺣ ْﺴﺒِ َﻰ ٱ ﱠ‬ Hasbiya-Allahu la ilaaha illa Huwa ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa Huwa Rabbul ‘Arshil ‘Atheem [At-Tawbah: 129] Allah is sufficient for me. There is no God but He, in Him I put my trust, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne. [At-Tawbah: 129] An-Noor Al-Mubeen Project 10

Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 10 ‫ َﻻ إِﻟَـﮫَ إِ ﱠﻻ‬،‫ َﻻ إِﻟَﮫَ إِ ﱠﻻ ﱠˆُ َر ﱡب اﻟﻌَـ ْﺮ ِش اﻟﻌَ ِﻈﯿـ ِﻢ‬،‫َﻻ إﻟَﮫَ إِ ﱠﻻ ﱠˆُ ا ْﻟﻌَﻈـﯿ ُﻢ ا ْﻟ َﺤ ِﻠـﯿ ْﻢ‬ ‫ﱠ ْˆ َر ﱡب اﻟ ﱠﺴ َﻤـ ّﻮا ِت و ّر ﱡب اﻷَ ْر ِض و َر ﱡب اﻟﻌَ ْﺮ ِش اﻟ َﻜـﺮﯾﻢ‬ Laa ilaaha illa Allahul- 'Athimul-Halim, laa ilaaha illa Allaahu Rabbul-'Arshil- 'Athim, laa ilaaha illa Allahu Rabbussamawaati wa Rabbul-'ardi wa Rabbul- 'Arshil-Karim [Al-Bukhari & Muslim] There is none worthy of worship but Allah, the Most-Great, the Forbearing. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne. [Al-Bukhari & Muslim] Supplication 11 ‫َر ّ ِب َھ ْﺐ ِﻟﻰ ِﻣﻦ ﻟﱠﺪُﻧ َﻚ ذُ ِّرﯾﱠﺔً َطﯿِّﺒَﺔً ۖ إِﻧﱠ َﻚ َﺳ ِﻤﯿ ُﻊ ٱﻟﺪﱡ َﻋﺎٓ ِء‬ Rabbi hab lee min ladunka thurriyyatan tayibatan innaka samee’ud du’aa [Aali-'Imran: 38] My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 12 ،‫ واﻟﺒُ ْﺨ ِﻞ وا ْﻟ ُﺠ ْﺒ ِﻦ‬،‫ َواﻟﻌَ ْﺠ ِﺰ َوا ْﻟ َﻜ َﺴ ِﻞ‬،‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ إِﻧِّﻲ أَ ْﻋﻮذُ ﺑِ َﻚ ِﻣ َﻦ اﻟ َﮭ ِّﻢ َو ا ْﻟ َﺤ َﺰ ِن‬ ‫و َﺿﻠَﻊِ اﻟﺪﱠ ْﯾ ِﻦ و َﻏﻠَﺒَ ِﺔ اﻟ ِّﺮ َﺟﺎ ِل‬ Allahumma innee a'oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal'ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal [Al-Bukhari] O Allah, I seek refuge in you from worry and sadness, from incapacity and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men [Al-Bukhari] Supplication 13 ‫ َوأَ ْﺳﺘَ ْﻐ ِﻔ ُﺮ َك ِﻟ َﻤﺎ ﻻ أَ ْﻋﻠَ ُﻢ‬،‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ إِﻧِّﻲ أَ ُﻋﻮذُ ﺑِ َﻚ أَ ْن أُ ْﺷ ِﺮ َك ﺑِ َﻚ َوأَﻧَﺎ أَ ْﻋﻠَ ُﻢ‬ Allaahumma inni a’oothu bika an ushrika bika wa ana a’lam wa astaghfiruka lima laa a’lam [Al-Bukhari] O Allah, I seek refuge with You from associating anything with You knowingly, and I seek Your forgiveness for that of which I am unaware [Al-Bukhari] An-Noor Al-Mubeen Project 12

Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 14 ‫اَﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ ا ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﻟﻲ َﺧ ِﻄﯿﺌَﺘِﻲ‬ ،‫ اَﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ اِ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﻟﻲ ِﺟ ِﺪّي‬،‫ َو َﻣﺎ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ أَ ْﻋﻠَ ُﻢ ﺑِ ِﮫ ِﻣﻨِّﻲ‬،‫ َوإِ ْﺳ َﺮاﻓِﻲ ﻓِﻲ أَ ْﻣ ِﺮي‬،‫َو َﺟ ْﮭ ِﻠﻲ‬ ‫ َو َﻣﺎ‬،‫ اَﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ اِ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ِﻟﻲ َﻣﺎ ﻗَﺪﱠ ْﻣ ُﺖ‬،‫ َو ُﻛ ﱡﻞ ذَ ِﻟ َﻚ ِﻋ ْﻨ ِﺪي‬،‫ َو َﻋ ْﻤ ِﺪي‬،‫ َو َﺧ َﻄﺌِﻲ‬،‫َو َھ ْﺰ ِﻟﻲ‬ ‫ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ اَ ْﻟ ُﻤﻘَ ِﺪّ ُم وأَ ْﻧ َﺖ‬،‫ َو َﻣﺎ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ أَ ْﻋﻠَ ُﻢ ﺑِ ِﮫ ِﻣﻨِّﻲ‬،‫ َو َﻣﺎ أَ ْﻋﻠَ ْﻨ ُﺖ‬،‫ َو َﻣﺎ أَ ْﺳ َﺮ ْر ُت‬،‫أَ ﱠﺧ ْﺮ ُت‬ ‫ َوأَ ْﻧ َﺖ َﻋﻠَﻰ ُﻛ ِّﻞ َﺷ ْﻲ ٍء ﻗَ ِﺪﯾ ٌﺮ‬،‫ا ْﻟ ُﻤ َﺆ ِّﺧ ُﺮ‬ Allahumm-aghfir li khati'ati, wajahli, wa israfi fi amri, wa ma Anta a'lamu bihi minni. Allahumm-aghfir li jiddi wa hazli, wa khata'i wa 'amdi, wa kullu dhalika 'indi. Allahumm-aghfir li ma qaddamtu wa ma akhkhartu, wa ma asrartu, wa ma a'lantu, wa ma Anta a'lamu bihi minni. Antal-Muqaddimu, wa Antal- Mu'akhkhiru; wa Anta 'ala kulli shai'in Qadir [Al-Bukhari & Muslim] O Allah, forgive my sins, my ignorance, my excess in my affairs, and whatever You are better aware of than myself. O Allah, forgive my sins which I committed seriously or humorously, mistakenly or deliberately, and all of them I have committed. O Allah, forgive my sins of the past and the future, those which I committed secretly or openly, and those which You are better aware of than myself. Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 15 ‫َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎٓ إِﻧﱠﻨَﺎٓ َءا َﻣﻨﱠﺎ ﻓَﭑ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ﻟَﻨَﺎ ذُﻧُﻮﺑَﻨَﺎ َوﻗِﻨَﺎ َﻋﺬَا َب ٱﻟﻨﱠﺎ ِر‬ Rabbana innana aamanna faghfir lana thunoobana waqina 'athaba-nnari [Aali-'Imran:16] Our Lord, indeed we have believed, so forgive us our sins and protect us from the punishment of the Fire [Aali-'Imran: 16] Supplication 16 ‫ َو ِﻣ ْﻦ ﻓِﺘْﻨَ ِﺔ ا ْﻟ َﻤ ْﺤﯿَﺎ‬،‫ َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َﻋﺬَا ِب ا ْﻟﻘَ ْﺒ ِﺮ‬،‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭــ ﱠﻢ إِﻧِّﻲ أَ ُﻋﻮذُ ﺑِ َﻚ ِﻣ ْﻦ َﻋﺬَا ِب َﺟ َﮭﻨﱠ َﻢ‬ ‫ َو ِﻣ ْﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ ﻓِﺘْﻨَ ِﺔ ا ْﻟ َﻤ ِﺴﯿﺢِ اﻟﺪﱠ ﱠﺟﺎ ِل‬،‫َوا ْﻟ َﻤ َﻤﺎ ِت‬ Allahumma innee a'oothu bika min athaabi jahannam wa min 'athaabil-qabr, wa min fitnatil-mahyaa walmamaat, wa min sharri fitnatil-maseehid-dajjaal [Muslim] O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the torment of Hell, from the torment of the grave, from the trials of living and dying, and from the evil trials of AlMasih Ad-Dajjal (Antichrist/the false Christ) [Muslim] An-Noor Al-Mubeen Project 14

Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 17 ‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ َﻋﺎﻓِﻨِﻲ ﻓِﻲ ﺑَﺪَﻧِﻲ‬ ‫ ﻻَ إِﻟَﮫَ إِﻻﱠ أَ ْﻧ َﺖ‬،‫ اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ َﻋﺎﻓِﻨِﻲ ﻓِﻲ ﺑَ َﺼ ِﺮي‬،‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ َﻋﺎﻓِﻨِﻲ ﻓِﻲ َﺳ ْﻤ ِﻌﻲ‬ Allahumma 'aafinee fee badanee, Allahumma 'aafinee fee sam'ee, Allahumma 'aafinee fee basaree, laa ilaaha illa ant (3x morning & 3x evening) O Allah! Grant me health in my body. O Allah, make me healthy in my hearing. O Allah, make me healthy in my sight. There is no God but You [Sahih Abu-Dawud] An-Noor Al-Mubeen Project 15

Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 18 ‫ﱠرﺑﱠﻨَﺎٓ إِﻧﱠﻨَﺎ َﺳ ِﻤ ْﻌﻨَﺎ ُﻣﻨَﺎ ِدﯾﺎً ﯾُﻨَﺎ ِدى ِﻟ ْ ِﻺﯾ َﻤ ٰـ ِﻦ أَ ْن َءا ِﻣﻨُﻮاْ ﺑِ َﺮﺑِّ ُﻜ ْﻢ ﻓَـ”ﺎ َﻣﻨﱠﺎ ۚ َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ ﻓَﭑ ْﻏ ِﻔ ْﺮ ﻟَﻨَﺎ‬ ‫﴾ َرﺑﱠﻨَﺎ َو َءاﺗِﻨَﺎ َﻣﺎ َو َﻋﺪﺗﱠﻨَﺎ‬193﴿ ‫ذُﻧُﻮﺑَﻨَﺎ َو َﻛ ِﻔّ ْﺮ َﻋﻨﱠﺎ َﺳﯿِّـ”ﺎﺗِﻨَﺎ َوﺗَ َﻮﻓﱠﻨَﺎ َﻣ َﻊ ٱ ْﻷَ ْﺑ َﺮا ِر‬ ﴾194﴿ َ‫َﻋﻠَ ٰﻰ ُر ُﺳ ِﻠ َﻚ َو َﻻ ﺗُ ْﺨ ِﺰﻧَﺎ ﯾَ ْﻮ َم ٱ ْﻟ ِﻘﯿَ ٰـ َﻤ ِﺔ إﻧﱠ َﻚ َﻻ ﺗُ ْﺨ ِﻠ ُﻒ ٱ ْﻟ ِﻤﯿﻌَﺎد‬ Rabbana innana sami'na munadiyan yunadee lil-eemani an aminoo birabbikum faamanna rabbana faghfir lana thunoobana wakaffir 'anna sayyiaatina watawaffana ma'al-abrar ﴾193﴿ Rabbana waatina mawa'adtana 'ala rusulika wala tukhzina yawma alqiyamati innaka la tukhlifu almee'ad ﴾194﴿ [Aali-'Imran:193-194] Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to faith, [saying], 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die with the righteous ﴾193﴿ Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 19 ‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ ا ْھ ِﺪﻧِﻲ ﻓِﯿ َﻤ ْﻦ‬ ‫َھﺪَ ْﯾ َﺖ َو َﻋﺎﻓِﻨِﻲ ﻓِﯿ َﻤ ْﻦ َﻋﺎﻓَ ْﯿ َﺖ و ﺗَ َﻮﻟﱠﻨِﻲ‬ ‫ﻓِﯿ َﻤ ْﻦ ﺗَ َﻮﻟﱠ ْﯿ َﺖ َو ﺑَﺎ ِر ْك ِﻟﻲ ﻓِﯿ َﻤﺎ أَ ْﻋ َﻄ ْﯿ َﺖ َو ﻗِﻨِﻲ َﺷ ﱠﺮ َﻣﺎ ﻗَ َﻀ ْﯿ َﺖ إﻧﱠ َﻚ ﺗَ ْﻘ ِﻀﻲ َوﻻ‬ ‫ﯾُ ْﻘ َﻀﻰ َﻋﻠ ْﯿ َﻚ إﻧﱠﮫُ ﻻ ﯾَ ِﺬّ ﱡل َﻣ ْﻦ َواﻟَ ْﯿ َﺖ وﻻ ﯾﻌﺰ ﻣﻦ ﻋﺎدﯾﺖ ﺗَﺒَﺎ َر ْﻛ َﺖ رﺑﻨﺎ‬ ‫َوﺗَﻌَﺎﻟَ ْﯿ َﺖ‬ Allahumma ihdini fi-man hadayta wa-'afini fi-man 'afayta wa-tawallani fi-man tawwalayta wa-barik li fi-ma a'tayta wa-qini sharra ma qadayta innaka taqdi wa- la yuqda ʿalayka innahu la yathillu man walayta wala ya'izzu man 'aadayt tabarakta rabbana wa-ta'alayt O Allah, guide me with those whom You have guided, and strengthen me with those whom You have given strength. Take me to Your care with those whom You have taken to Your care. Bless me in what You have given me. Protect me from the evil You have ordained. Surely, You command and are not commanded, and none whom You have committed to Your care shall be humiliated [and none whom You have taken as an enemy shall taste glory]. Supplications from the Qur’an & Sunnah Supplication 20 ‫اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ إِﻧِّﻲ أَ ْﺳﺄَﻟُ َﻚ ا ْﻟﻌَﺎﻓِﯿَﺔَ ﻓِﻲ‬ ‫اﻟﺪﱡ ْﻧﯿَﺎ َواﻵ ِﺧ َﺮةِ اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ إِﻧِّﻲ أَ ْﺳﺄَﻟُ َﻚ ا ْﻟﻌَ ْﻔ َﻮ َوا ْﻟﻌَﺎﻓِﯿَﺔَ ﻓِﻲ ِدﯾﻨِﻲ َودُ ْﻧﯿَﺎ َى َوأَ ْھ ِﻠﻲ‬ ‫َو َﻣﺎ ِﻟﻲ اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ ا ْﺳﺘُ ْﺮ َﻋ ْﻮ َرﺗِﻲ َوآ ِﻣ ْﻦ َر ْو َﻋﺎﺗِﻲ اﻟﻠﱠ ُﮭ ﱠﻢ ا ْﺣﻔَ ْﻈﻨِﻲ ِﻣ ْﻦ ﺑَ ْﯿ ِﻦ ﯾَﺪَ ﱠى َو ِﻣ ْﻦ‬ ‫َﺧ ْﻠ ِﻔﻲ َو َﻋ ْﻦ ﯾَ ِﻤﯿﻨِﻲ َو َﻋ ْﻦ ِﺷ َﻤﺎ ِﻟﻲ َو ِﻣ ْﻦ ﻓَ ْﻮﻗِﻲ َوأَ ُﻋﻮذُ ﺑِﻌَ َﻈ َﻤﺘِ َﻚ أَ ْن أُ ْﻏﺘَﺎ َل ِﻣ ْﻦ‬ ‫ﺗَ ْﺤﺘِﻲ‬ Allahumma inni asalukal-'afiyata fid-dunya wal-akhirah Allahumma inni asalukal-'afwa wal-'afiyah fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahum-mastur 'awrati, wa aamin raw'aati. Allahuma ihfathni min bayni yadayya, wa min khalfi, wa 'an yamini wa 'an shimali, wa min fawqi, wa 'authu bi’athamatika an ughtaala min tahti O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness and well-being in this world and the next. O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness and Your protection in my religion, in my worldly affairs, in my family and in my wealth. O Allah, conceal my secrets and preserve me from anguish. O Allah, guard me from what is in front of me and behind me, from my left, and from my right, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your Greatness from being struck down from beneath me.
