iTV Foundation The iTV foundation has been established with a vision to facilitate access to quality health care for the extremely poor and vulnerable sections of our society. Towards this goal, we organise free medical camps; where we work with qualified doctors and other foundations to provide medical care and financial assistance to achieve the goal for better health care for all. The iTV foundation initiative began in April 2017 and since its inception the foundation has been working at the grassroots. Japanese Encephalitis and its eradication is our core project which impacts thousands of children today. Along with this, the foundation works in areas such as cancer awareness and early detection, drug eradication and rehabilitation, tuberculosis detection and eradication. Children are the main focus of our foundation. Our Helpline 'Bal Sahyog' is a platform where people can share their personal stories and we assist them financially so that together we can fight diseases better. Our objective is to be the 'ENABLER' and act as an interface between children, various organisations and individuals who want to make a difference and contribute. The iTV foundation will also work on initiatives that are central to disease prevention namely sanitation awareness, working on water conservation and saving our lifeline - our rivers. Objectives: • To help this initiative gain rapid support from key state actors • To create a high profile launch platform across the North East • To aide case study profiling and news broadcast dissemination of the campaigns key goals, milestones, successes • To create a sustained, consistent messaging to build awareness both for campaign and brand objectives • To introduce bold programming with young faces to take on taboo issues in the mainstream media and normalize such conversations • To help drive rapid uptake towards a 10,000 school rollout target by raising profile, understanding, legitimacy, trust and profiling of stakeholders • To help provide audio/visual resource expertise to aide the campaign • To provide regular ‘top up doses' with high profile events, programmes to generate sustained publicity over a 1 to 3 year timespan.
Item 1: Launch Conclaves We propose to start with big ticket launch by doing the Launch Conclaves These conclaves will be separate for the 8 North East States in the following order - Assam - Meghalaya - Arunachal - Tripura - Sikkim - Manipur - Mizoram - Nagaland (Can confirm only after security clearance which we will try & obtain from MHA) In each of these conclaves we propose to get the following For e.g if we start with Assam then for the first Conclave, we would - Have a 3-hour launch conclave to be done in Guwahati at appropriate hotel venue - Chief Guests to be Assam Governor & Assam Chief Minister - Health Minister & Education Minister - Health Secretary & Education Secretary These Conclaves would be telecast live on NE News & NewsX We would have the following activity around it - Promos & Ticker/Aston teases for Launch Day - Requisite AVs for campaign launch including information/campaign goals/educational material - Award/Token presentation to Campaign Managers/Stakeholders The Conclave would cover the following: 1. Launch of the Campaign by Governor/CM 2. Speech by Governor 3. Speech by CM 4. Presentation by R&B representative - Ideally done Ted-Talk style 5. Panel of Parents/School Principals/Educationalists/Representative of Campaign 6. Panel of North-East Celebrities - Singers/Musicians/Sportspersons/Actors (who will also be asked to endorse the campaign) 7. Interview with Health Minister 8. Interview with Education Minister 9. Panel of North East influencers 10. Panel of Stakeholders - partner organisations
Item 2: Quarterly Events These could be in form of School Quiz or any other activity that we mutually agree upon. Item 3: Annual Awards Conclave Center to the campaign is the sex education in various schools. To encourage and create a buzz one can plan out Awards and Conclave around it to felicitate the people who will be working on the ground – the counsellors, the teachers, schools, district and states. And other stakeholders - Best Schools - Best Teachers - Best performing states - Best performing district - Stakeholders/partners Item 4: Awareness Drive (Publicity Generator) Not wanting to limit this to schools and also to create a conversations one needs to Generate publicity and keeping with health factor something like a marathon would be great as it would involve the city too. - Charity Marathon - TV Marathon - Guinness Record Attempt (Largest Ever Group Plogging etc.) Item 5: Weekly TV Show Studio Based (Both English & Vernacular) - 25 minutes Item 6: Weekly Series Ground Location Based (Both English & Vernacular) - 25 minutes Item 7: Celebrity Endorsements Across North East actors/sportspersons and well known activists would be roped in to send a message to the people and educate all.
Item 8: Animation Series Vignettes (2-3 Minutes x 1/week) An option to consider, all the characters central to the campaign and all the course tutorials can be converted into an animated series. iTV Network has an in-house animation team that produces award winning content. Item 9: Weekly Packages We will also do some on-the-ground reports from across North East states of about 2-3 minutes where we would show case the work being done by them. The reports would /could have the following -: - Counsellors, where we would interview them - Show different case studies - Showcase school programme roll outs - Talk to Stakeholders/Rapporteur interviews case studies - School roll-out case studies - Before & After knowledge/feedback/attitudinal change case-studies Item 10: Training Videos - For Counsellors - For Teachers - For Parents ITV Network can make these educational videos for training purposes with the content designers/stakeholders to allow for quicker dissemination and easier uptake. Item 11: Explainer Videos Conversion of the 14x1 hour sessions into a video tutorial.
